We came up during big brother's short college semester break for a two night retreat and our parents usually book places around the Tanah Rata area to stay as in the past. The main attraction of this inn we suspect is most likely the tea house which the other places where we stayed did not have. The teahouse within is quaintly homely located in the building where the check in reception counter is located. There's a small menu here and it caters mainly for breakfast and tea breaks. The tea house is aptly named Embun which stands for dew in Bahasa and is well maintained with a curated menu crafted for small meals and tea time breaks. The pricing is entirely reasonable and many of the items served are local specialties especially the scones and fruit conserve. The rooms within are well appointed and there's a choice of rooms ranging from simple single bed to double king sized family rooms. There's also a chalet styled accommodation for families. Parking within the compound is limited but there's ample complementary parking at the adjacent shop lot row next door to the inn. The beds are comfortable and there's really good piped in hot water for all the bathrooms which mom thinks is a godsend. All in all a very enjoyable stay here as we could just walk out in the mornings and during the evening for both breakfast and dinner nearby. Highly recommended especially if you're coming here as a family group.

The room provided was different from what was displayed on the booking platform. We were assigned a room in a single-storey building with an unsafe staircase design — the steps were very small and steep. There was also no hot water provided in the single-storey building; we had to walk and use those unsafe stairs to reach the reception building just to get hot water. The soundproofing was extremely poor, as noises from other guests could be heard clearly. Housekeeping service was unsatisfactory, as water bottles were not replenished and bed sheets were not changed daily unless we reminded the staff every single day. Parking space was also insufficient. Overall, the experience was truly disappointing. Not recommended at all.

What a beautiful place! We came to this hotel late last night after the hotel we booked was so dirty we had to leave. They were kind enough to take us in late at night and were very welcoming and friendly! The room was spotless very clean and has a beautiful cafe with a very yummy breakfast. Room also has a beautiful view to the garden. Thankyou very much for your hospitality

Lovely place to stay if you’re visiting the Cameron Highlands. The little café inside is a nice place to chill and enjoy some pastries or breakfast. During the weekend it was quite busy so we woke up from people not respecting the quiet hours. Also the shared bathrooms were almost always wet (including toilet seats), so they didn’t feel really hygienic. But apart from that, we had a nice stay here.

I didn't stay at the hotel; I just came for brunch. I ordered the Embun breakfast, strawberry jam pancakes, scones and tea. Everything was delicious and felt homemade. The ambiance is cute and quiet, making it a perfect spot for breakfast or tea time, indoors or outdoors. Price is absolutely sane and reasonable compared to other tourist spots. Lovely to be surrounded by the gorgeous garden and landscape. Highly recommended if you're in Tanah Rata.

I didnt stay here but I came just only for the scones. Previously I came 1yr ago, the scone finished already (around 10am) but this time i think they upgraded the service (got serve coffee and matcha too) and availability of the scone and even got name Embun Cafe! Is true! This is the best scone so far. Most importantly not dense and dry. The strwbery jam was nice to eat with the scone. Compared to the KHM, Lord’s Cafe, i like this more. *chef kiss*

It’s nice and the room is clean. For a basic 90 ringgit two single bed and a private shower, it’s alright and the shower is good. Just that they only provide a body wash. The walls and door are thin. I can’t sleep at night cause there is mosquito and also, kids screaming at 10PM till 1AM. You can hear people walking and talking. I couldn’t even sleep well. But other than that, it’s a nice place to sit outside and chill. But the area it’s nearby to restaurants.. so I think it’s fine for the location.

The classic scone at Cameronian Inn is a standout perfectly buttery, crumbly yet moist, with a light sweetness. Served warm with clotted cream and jam, it’s far superior to the dry, dense version at Cameron Valley Tea House 2. A must-try for scone lovers!
