Warmly greeted by charming manager who was in constant motion taking care of everyone. Very kind waitstaff. Exceptional food and service. The kind of beautiful neighborhood restaurant you want to keep going back to. The steak frit was cooked to perfection. Escargot delicious. Creme brulee was devine. ❤️

Google
We had a lovely lunch at Camille in the Marais. The Caesar salads were absolutely outstanding—fresh, crisp, and perfectly dressed. The restaurant has a charming Parisian feel, with warm service and a relaxed atmosphere. It was the perfect mid-day break and a highlight of our time wandering the neighbourhood.

Google
Great food and service. The staff are very professional and friendly. I don’t speak much French, but they can also converse in English with you. Food was phenomenal. I got the duck and the homemade chocolate cake for dessert. Would definitely go back again. A++

We ordered a mix of dishes from the lunch set (la formule du midi) and the regular à la carte menu. The à la carte dishes were great, but my steak — the main dish from the lunch set — was terrible. It was the worst steak I’ve ever had. It was so tough and full of tendons that I couldn’t even cut it with a knife, let alone eat it. Never try the lunch set at this restaurant. Also, check your bill! They charged us the regular menu price for the lunch set. When I pointed it out, they said it was a mistake, but I really don’t understand how such a mistake could happen, especially since the lunch items aren’t even listed on the regular menu.

Google
The food was what you would expect from a great bistrot: generous servings and great flavors. The service was great, they were able to accomodate us with outside tables even when it was supposedly full. The ambiance inside and outside is lovely. The location is also ideal since it's in a great neighborhood and near some of Paris best attractions. I would recommend having a reservation if you are a bigger group!

Google
Very pleased with our experience here. The food was very authentic and yummy. They did not have our cocktail of choice on the menu but were very accommodating in learning how to make it. The waitstaff was extremely friendly. I would not hesitate in returning.

Google
Food is good, but not great and on the expensive side because there is a more heavy load of tourists coming through on this street who are willing to pay more. The gazpacho in the supermarket is just as good as, if not better than the one we had at Camille, and the fried chicken Caesar salad salad was decent but not great. It was a Saturday lunch so the place was fairly crowded, so service was a bit slow, but the staff is friendly and we saw they were nice enough to provide the neighboring table a water bowl for the dog. Kids were playing there too, so kid and pet friendly.

Google
Very frankly both the food and the service are quite average. The place looks nicer than it actually is and the food and wine are slightly overpriced for the quality. I didn’t have time to be super picky, so I ordered despite the rather lengthy wait for the menu, but to me it’s not a place worth returning to.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our meal here thought if we're being honest with ourselves it wasn't quite as good as another marais place. The steak was a little chewier than we'd like though the fries were excellent. The onion soup is a standout balancing flavors without being too overwhelming. The cheese also melted and was perfect for the soup. Get the duck too. It was great. Good wine and service was quite good too. You won't go wrong here.

Yelp
I don't know if it was because I stopped by at 3pm to eat something before catching the train out of Paris, but the service was very slow and the waiters were pretty.. how should I put it... "abrasive." Now that I think about it... a friend of mine did mentioned that the Parisians take their lunchtime of 12pm-2:30pm very seriously - and of course I was outside of that timeframe. Regardless - on to the food. I ordered the steak and fries. The steak was very well cooked and the butter on top was parsley and garlic infused. However, there was something missing. The fries were nicely crisp and the meat was very well cooked; however, both were missing an element of taste. If I could shorten the review of my entree to 1 sentence, it would be: The textures were all there, but the flavor was lacking.

Yelp
Comfortable place, cozy food, great choice. Enjoyed the canard and the mashed potatoes were amazing as well. Great choice for my first trip to Paris

Yelp
Was recommended this restaurant by hotel staff and it did not disappoint. The staff was kind and helpful (especially with my poor French). The food was fantastic and served quickly. The ambiance was quaint and nice. I had a filet mignon with bernaise sauce and potatoes. Both excellent. The waitress recommended the chocolate mouse, which was great, but the best thing she did was bring over finely-ground sea salt which I sprinkled on the mouse. This absolutely made it. Would highly recommend and return again.

Yelp
It is quite a charming restuarant in the Marais. We came in for lunch and sat at a table outside, amid a bustling neighborhood. We had a appetizer salad and the Ribeye with fries. All was done very well, but I think if I were to come back I'd prefer to come during the dinner hour as most of the menu is relatively heavy entrees. Still we had a very good meal and the waiter and service staff is very friendly and prompt.

Yelp
So we spent the day walking around Paris, we being my wife and I and our 19yo daughter. I did not make a reservation but I saw they have some gluten free options on google, so we headed there and without a reservation we were able to be seated-it was early and then the rush came so we got lucky....I wanted classic french cuisine and that for me was a steak. We all got different dishes, we all enjoyed it and the service, but what stood out was, who I assume is the manager of the restaurant she noticed my wife steak cutting being a bit tough, she asked how the steak is cooked and my wife said its fine but the manager said "No, you must have perfect french cuisine" so she asked to take the plate back and came back with another filet that was fantastic. We had a great meal and loved the vibe in there.

Yelp
Fantastic lunch spot. Absolutely loved everything we ordered here! We ordered: - Eggs mayonnaise - Gazpacho - Crayfish salad Everything was outstanding - including the bread and wine! Ambiance was perfect and the service was good, too. And it was dog-friendly! I would definitely come back!

Yelp
Authentic French food, exquisitely prepared. Conveniently located in the Marais, the proprietor was friendly and welcoming, the service was good, and the restaurant intimate and warm. The venison stew was excellent. The is a local favorite and a nice alternative to other options in the area. Reservations suggested.

Yelp
We really enjoy this restaurant. Been last two years on Christmas Day and New year's day and god willing will do it again this year. Good food with excellent service.

Yelp
This cute little restaurant in Le Marais that I recommend. I think it's better to reserve ahead of time but luckily they were able to seat us inside but they just gave us an hour to finish our meal just because we didn't have a reservation which was fine with us. We chose this place due to awesome reviews. We definitely love the vibe of this cafe. I ordered the steak tartare and that was my first time eating it but it was good. My husband ordered their steak that he thought was not seasoned well. The escargots were delicious. I love their fries! We paid 69 euros for all three items so not too bad.

Shlomo S.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place for dinner and it was great! The waitstaff is very friendly and they speak English Very cosy French bistro with cool music in the background. We had the French onion soup which was delicious and entrecôte with fries (nice portion cooked to perfection) as well as the duck breast with delicious mashed potatoes and very delicate honey sauce, just perfect! Delicious chocolate moose for dessert. It is a bit pricey but it's my first meal in Paris so what do I know? Well worth it! Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Delicious! Staff was great, interior was modern but warm. Excellent wine selection. I had leeks to start with a tangy vinaigrette, the perfectly cooked duck breast with decadent mashed potato's. My daughter had a perfectly cooked steak, not too fatty but flavorful. Fries were awesome. My friend assured me the cod is delicious and they was my second choice! Make a reservation!

Yelp
As soon as the cantaloupe gazpacho hit my tongue I knew I fell in love with this place. It was the freshest of the fresh and I'll remember it for a long time. I cannot get over how incredible this place was. The two-course prix was a great deal at lunch time. I completed my meal with a pork tenderloin with a dijon sauce, and lovely french white wine. It was perfection. The serv ice was great and the french baguette with butter was just another piece of French loveliness. I would go back to this place in a heartbeat on a visit.

Yelp
Colleagues made a group reservation here for a group of 6. We had 1 cancel at the last minute and we were delayed due to a member of our party stuck in traffic. However, restaurant was fantastic about accommodating. Traditional brasseries in the Marais. They have outdoor seating, but it was a bit cooler that evening and we opted to be seated inside. I believe they have english menus, but I ordered from the french chalkboard. Menu had all your traditional french brasserie items. With that said, wine, escargot, and foie de veau was what I had in mind. I was tempted by the tartar, but colleagues recommended the veau. This brasserie delivered. The escargot and foie de veau were splendid. After our meal, we ordered rounds of coffee to continue speaking into the night. Server was attentive and made sure our every need was met.

Yelp
I did not take many pictures as I was enjoy the moment but the service was ourstanding. Food was very good and fresh. It is definetly the best food we ate on our trip to Paris. The escorgot was very good and of high quality. I was hestitant on eating it because of the thought of it being snails. But I am glad I tried it. The veal piccard was 7/10. Nothing special. Sea bass in olive oil was out of this world. Very fresh. Cooked to perfection. Would strongly recommend it! The waitress paired our meals with the perfect red and white wine.

Yelp
It seems that the Sunday night's menu has limited choices, with no sophisticated cooking. Food is fair, though. No complaints about the service, friendly and efficient. Located in a beautiful area, in the heart of Paris.
google avatar

Yelp
Camille is a solid bistro with a wonderful ambiance in a lovely part of town. We were able to walk in at lunchtime on a Friday and get a table for two outside. As for order, escargot was excellent and the beef tartare was a generous portion and very good. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. Removed one star given service was a bit lacking, even for standards in Paris and it was most certainly not a bargain.

Eric B.

Yelp
Now HERE is a special bistro. Food, service and ambiance all in a cozy package. You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Yelp
Some relatives were recently in town, and enamored of the Marais, asked me to join them for dinner and to suggest a place. My first choice was already booked until nearly 21h30, so I picked Camille as a place I had often passed but never been inside. The food is good and the staff are friendly and very English speaking. Maybe 21 total menu items, to help stanch choice anxiety.

Yelp
There was 3 of us. Had the fillet mignon w/bearnaise and fritters. Cooked perfectly! Had rice pudding for dessert. Lovely. Veal and noodles tender and flavorful. Had the sea bass.... "BEST PIECE OF SEA BASS I HAVE HAD EVER!!!! CHABLIS WINE, ROSE, DELICIOUS! best meal while in Paris so far. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Made our experience so much better.

Yelp
My last dinner in Paris before I headed off to start the Camino... so I thought I should go and treat myself! Course 1: A beef stew terrine- who would have thought that beef stew would taste good in jello form?? But it was really good. Main Course: They brought a filet mignon that they brought me on accident... of which I took a bite into and realized that it was not the duck I ordered. But damn. that was a good bite. The duck breast that I actually ordered was excellent, with a sweet plum sauce. Dessert: A crème brulée that was just a tad too... Brulée. I daresay it was just burnt. This was a disappointment. Besides the mixup of plates and the burnt taste at the end and the classically cranky French waiter who accused me of lying about him getting my order wrong... Great way to end my time in Paris! ... but in review land, it was enough to make it just a mediocre experience. Maybe it was my bad french! I'll practice and come back!

Yelp
On our trip to Paris we rented a flat just across from Camille. We ate there several times. We loved the sidewalk cafe, the kindness of the servers, the neighborhood ambiance, the traditional dishes. My favorite was the veal blanquette with a side of spinach. My husband enjoyed the veal kidneys. The food is portioned perfectly. The taste is very traditional and classic. Delicious! The wines by the glass were very nice. Loved this spot!

Yelp
Wish I could give this place more stars! Went last night for dinner with my travel mate for his last night in Paris- what a treat it was! There was a nice, private and cozy spot by the window next to the bar and we were seated immediately. It was about 8pm and only a few tables were dining at the time. The waiter spoke English and had actually been a pastry chef in NYC for a few years before returning to France, so conversation was easy and interesting. He also had an English menu on hand for me, which was great to have after days of struggling with French! Had the Saint marcelle cheese salad to start, and it was SO GOOD! If you like Brie and soft and empty cheese, go for this. They give you plenty of bread for you to enjoy it with. The other (very minor) thing here was that they give you butter with the bread, which is so nice, because all the other places usually just give you bread. Granted, it's so good that it doesn't need it, but I like what I like. I had the steak and fries for my main course (plat) and could barely finish, but the entire meal was exceptional. Come here and enjoy a lovely meal. The salad was around 11 euro while the steak and fries were around 26 euro...can't remember exactly, but if you want a nice splurge meal, here it is!

Yelp
A homey spot in the Marais. For our first night of a four night stay we wanted to be close to our apartment. My pot au feu de Mamie Jeanne literally disintegrated when I picked it up with the fork. I started with some leeks. Offspring had the salad with marcellin cheese and darling husband had the charcuterie. Even though we were stuffed, we accepted the offer for dessert. Who can resist Berthillon ice cream and a creme brûlée? Not us. I agree with others that it's not a destination, but a comfortable place for Some French classics.

Yelp
Yes, it's noisyand it is crowded a lot of the timebut that means people like the place and keep on returning. Good classic French Bistro food and drink in the Marais--with a small terrace for people watching on the very lively rue des Francs-Bourgeois. Many lovely shops and museums nearby. Walk up the rue Elzévir after lunch towards the Picasso Museum and enjoy the nearby shops and parks! A treat '(¿) !

Yelp
My first Parisian meal and intro to their restaurant customs. The service was good and the food tasted as attractive as they cooked it. I learned that the entree must be finished in it's entirety before main course is served. The prices were up there but I think the tip was included as with all European things - up front costs, love it! I ordered the Bordeaux wine, foie gras entree, and sea bass for my main. Total came out to 48Es. Highly recommend the foie gras, it came with a sweet tomato onion garnish (yums).

Yelp
Stopped in for a Cappuccino and Hot Chocolate... Yum on a brisk day. The decor is beautiful the service is excellent a must visit if you're in Paris. They have outdoor seating when the weather warms up.

Camille F.

Yelp
This restaurant was good. Waiter was nice, food was decent, and had gluten free options, so i've got to hand it to them for that. Also named after me, which is pretty funky. However, they did tell us to be quiet when we were talking at an appropriate level. Wouldn't recommend for people who like to talk and laugh. Also very expensive.
google avatar

Yelp
This was one of my favorite meals in Paris. My girlfriend and I stopped by on a Sunday around 2PM for lunch. We waited to be seated about 35 minutes. It was worth it! I had the braised beef cheek with mashed potatoes, a glass of champagne, and OJ. We sat outside on the sidewalk and people-watched. The servers were attentive and quick to get us a table. Can't wait to return here! The only downside? A little more expensive than other places we visited. But it was worth it!
google avatar

Erica L.

Yelp
We enjoyed this place so much we returned for seconds! The escargot is absolutely delicious, the entrecôte steak was prepared perfectly, the pomme frittes were fresh and crisp. The steak tartare was among the best we've had whilst in Paris. Also, the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed it and will return on our next trip Le Marais.
google avatar

Yelp
There are a number of cafe's with great ambiance as you walk the streets of this cute neighborhood. We popped in here looking for a quick bite to hold us over before dinner. After trying the pea soup, we needed to try more. The pot au feu was great and the staff was terrific for English speaking tourists.
google avatar

Suhail K.

Yelp
Great service & friendly staff. Food was ok at best compared to other places in Paris. Snails were too buttery and the noodles were a bit dry. Nothing to write home about but still fun.

Douglas G.

Yelp
We recently visited for dinner on two consecutive evenings. Because it was so great, we came back again! The restaurant itself is lovely, comfortable, and so delightfully French in decor. The service was efficient and friendly even though we speak only a little French. We were even offered a menu in English to make us more comfortable. When I asked about the delicious sauce on the duck, the waiter took the trouble to ask the chef and report to me the ingredients used. Loved that. The philosophy here seems to be to be approachable in attitude for tourists, but still keep high French standards as to cuisine. As an American tourist seeking authentic French food in a real French restaurant, Camille is a great success.
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places for lunch when visiting Le Marais. Very good food, relaxed atmosphere and great location with outside seating. All this makes worth going. They serve ice cream from one of the top ice cream shop in Paris as well as delicious tarts. I can recommend also delicious scallops and tasty piece of cooked veal liver. For lunch I am also fan of melon with prosciutto ham, very refreshing! Service as commonly in Paris, poor but friendly. But when you are used to that, you stop noticing it. Be careful as this place is often full !!! So I would highly recommend to book a table in advance.

Yelp
Vegetarians: do not come here. Pros: Great service, decent bread, amazing olive oil, good atmosphere. Willing to work with English speakers. (There is NOT an English menu and the food menu is written on a chalkboard, so even those of us who can piece together our old French might struggle.) Caveat: It's a French bistro, and trying to find vegetarian-friendly dishes at French restaurants is kind of like trying to find vegetarian-friendly restaurants in the American South. That said, we are a resourceful bunch and are used to making due with unusual menus. This menu *does not work.* Here's why they lose a star: Cons: In spite of researching the place ahead of time and thinking we could work with the menu, my partner and I were brought a plate of four vegetables by our waiter -- and were charged sixteen euros each (the cost of the first course), for what essentially amounted to a side dish. Don't get me wrong: the spinach was well cooked and the mashed potatoes were delicious... But a plate of four veggies for sixteen euros as your only vegetarian option? Oof. Meat eaters, I imagine, will love this place.

Yelp
Lovely little restau/cafe in Marais. Feels oh so french for tourists. Qualite/prix = more than good enough. Excellent service. (This place made me happy again after an evening at the Relais Plaza that was just... Not worth the money.)
google avatar

Yelp
In the quiet area just north of Le Marais district, Camille is a traditional French bistro serving such standards as pot-au-feu, maigret de canard, entrecote, foie gras, and veal kidney. Small selection of wines and beers. The wait staff is friendly and cooperative - English speakers are welcomed. The soup de jour was cream of celery - delicious. Our party had pot-au-feu, canard, and scallops (St. Jacques). All were fantastic. We had desserts of creme brulee, caramel glaces, a citron tart (tarts are the house speciality), and rice pudding. They were great. Our waiter, Fredrick, warmed up during the service and was soon joking with us and making the meal quite fun. We'll be back soon.

Yelp
Decent food. Good service. Felt very French sitting in this bistro having a late lunch. rosé €14, niçoises salad. €14, duck w/ mashed p. €20, veal piccata w/ pasta €21, frites €4.80).
google avatar

Heather D.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner here! Four of us had no reservation but the staff accommodated is on a Tuesday during prime time. The escargots were amazing, as were the rognons de veau, if that's your thing. Everyone in our party enjoyed their dinner, which encompassed a wide variety of offerings. Highly recommend! It's in a lovely neighborhood and service is very friendly too!

Yelp
My steak was delicious. Not to be hyperbolic here, but really, this was one of the best steaks I've had in 4 years (I was able to recall the last place - House of Prime Rib in San Francisco). I was not expecting much with this place and was really happy. It's also funny because I just read a story in the NY Times about beef in France - particularly about how hard it is to get a decent steak in Paris - and this just knocked it out of the park. Salty, rich and with some mustard on the side it was great. My wife had pork with lentils which was good, but not nearly as good as my cow. Get steak. It good. Nom nom nom.
google avatar

Jen B.

Yelp
Had the loveliest picota de veal - tender, full of flavour. Hit the spot after a full day of sight seeing. Had a beautiful Beaujolais to go with it.
google avatar

Steve L.

Yelp
Probably the worst steak frites ever. Extremely tough and fatty. The opposite of Le Relais de l'Entrecôte. Only redeeming quality: no line - for obvious reasons.
google avatar

Heidi S.

Yelp
A good standby when visiting The Marais. I have visited a few times and always leave happy. The traditional bistro has seating outside when the weather is nice. I also like that when dining alone they do not stick me in a dark corner and forget about me. The food: traditional French fare - duck, entrecôte, veal, scallops. I have had the duck breast and mashed potatoes and the lamb chops with ratatouille. Both were excellent. The ratatouille was amazing - flavorful and felt like some care went into the preparation. My starter was a warm cheese salad - a big gooey slab of cheese on toast over a simple salad. Hits the spot. They offer several wines by the glass for about 5€-8€. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse which was average, and I probably would not get it again. Service is a bit better than most places. The waiters speak English and they have English-printed menus which are helpful. It does get quite full as shoppers in the Marais heed the call of hunger, so either plan to arrive around 7pm or make a reservation.
google avatar

Anneke D.

Yelp
What an excellent find! My friend and I chose this place on a whim one rainy weekday, and we will most certainly be going back. The lunch menu that day featured filet of duck breast in a delicious blackcurrent sauce, with creamy potatoes. The amount was just perfect, the duck was tender, and I took my time to savor it all. I started with an endive-roquefort salad with walnuts (also extremely delicious), whereas my friend chose the plat-dessert option and had a slice of apple tart. The staff is kind and attentive (though a bit absent-minded during the lunch rush). If you're in the Marais and looking for a stellar meal and some of that ol' Parisian charm, this place is a must (and the number of regulars can attest to that).
google avatar

Roxy H.

Yelp
Great place for a quiet dinner in La Marais! Definitely try the escargot and the duck breast

Hugh L.

Yelp
Nice décor, but food rather disappointing. Steak is pan fried not grilled, stringy and fatty. For €24 it's just way too expensive. Fries are terrible as well
google avatar

Nisim H.

Yelp
Wow if I could only describe to you the dinner we had here tonight. The lamb chops I had were so tender and flavorful, the ratatouille that came with it was heavenly. Lucky for me, I was able to finish my daughter's heavenly entrecôte steak, tasted my son's divine fillet mignon and 'Georgian potatoes' and my wife's awesome Duck. I thank the people of this restaurant for a very memorable dinner and the nice service that we received. We'll be back soon. Merci beaucoup!

Anna-Aleksandra R.

Yelp
So far the best restaurant I've been in Paris! Staff was very friendly and professional, they looked very efficient. We were lucky to find table in this crowded restaurant and compared to the amount of customers food came quickly. And the taste of the food was purely spectacular! Our waiter was very great, he even gave us some special potatos to taste... Only bad thing was that I was ordering lamb, but the waiter came to tell it run out. Then I ordered veal, but they run out of it too. I had to settle for beef, but it was perfect. The prices were higher than I expected, but deffinetly worth it! If you have time, you should also take a walk around the neighbourhood, because it was the most beautiful area I've seen in Paris.
google avatar

Ken B.

Yelp
The reviewer who said the menu is only on a chalkboard in French is wrong!! They have both printed and chalkboard in English! Also, the two waiters we dealt with spoke fluent English and were very responsive. The food and wine was great too! Prices a bit high, but this is Paris! We had Veal Picatta and Beef ratatouille, apple crumble, Cote du Rhone wine. Magnifique!
