Knowing what I know now, would I go back? Probably not but I am thankful for my all too perfect dress. When I first walked in with 3 friends, I waited for a good 10 minutes before I was greeted. Yes, I did make an appointment. The woman that did finally greet me was very short with us and not friendly at all. Thankfully I did not end up working with her. I worked with someone else and unfortunately I do not remember the woman's name but it was her who found my dress after my friends and I pulled 10 other ones. She was wonderful and sweet and very helpful. I found my dress on January 2 and ordered it later that week. Fast forward to early August for my first alterations appointment. My first appointment was with Kristen who was quite stand offish at first but gradually warmed up. She smelled of cigarette smoke which was very disappointing considering she was in my direct vicinity and would be working on my dress. I had suggested 2 particular things. 1. Cut out the chest padding (it was not the right size for me). She told me that I didn't want to do that and that it was part of the dress. I figured whatever, Id do it when I get it home. The top portion of my dress is quite thick, and they are not needed. 2. I wanted to have the straps adjusted (not sure how else to describe it but I showed her.) She told me I shouldnt do that even though the dress was gapping at my side boob. I did argue that point and she finally agreed and pinned it. After the rest of the pinning was done, I took the dress off and bagged it along with the belt I had purchased. I made my appointment for my next visit for 9/13 at 3:30 pm. At 2:26 pm on 9/13 Kristen called me to tell me that she had had an emergency and they were busy all day so she wasn't able to finish my dress. I asked if she had had my dress for a month and a half why she was still working on it an hour before my appt. She not so nicely said to me that she was doing me a favor and called as a courtesy to tell me that she was unable to finish my dress and that I wouldn't be able to pick it up. I understood that perfectly but wanted to know why. Never got an answer. I had to cancel plans and call people to cancel with them. She rescheduled me for 10 am on Wednesday. I had to take time off of work and now had to go alone for my fitting. When I got there on Wednesday, Kristen had a much nicer attitude and didn't smell like smoke which was nice. However, when I looked at the dress I found 3 black marks on my dress, the belt was not properly sized, the buttons for the bustle were not even, my right shoulder was too loose and the gaps on my side boob had not been touched at all. I was visibly upset and trying not to cry. Angela the co-owner ended up taking over. Angela was very pleasant and assured me everything would be taken care of. I left without my dress on Wednesday with another appointment today (Thursday, 9/17/2020). I arrived early and Angela had my dress waiting for me. The black spots were cleaned, alterations finally correct and even the boob inserts cut out. Angela did take $20 off my $380 alteration bill but again given the whole experience I don't think I would go back. Shopping for a wedding dress is suppose to be fun and exciting and I cried more than once, not happy tears.
