Camino Verde Bed & Breakfast Monteverde

This is an absolutely delightful B&B in the heart of Monteverde. It is quirky and individual in style, whilst being extremely comfortable with an open sitting room ( and log fire) and sofas dotted throughout the property.|Breakfast was delicious and free coffee and popcorn available all day.|Diego who welcomed us is fantastic- he is a warm and cheerful man with great local knowledge and insightful recommendations for tours and restaurants. He made our stay even better!|We loved our stay here!

I am a solo female traveler who stayed at Camino Verde for 2 nights while traveling in Costa Rica for 10 days at the end of May. I really enjoyed my stay here. I stayed in the small room downstairs with the bunk bed. It had windows facing a hall, with curtains to pull for privacy. I was a little concerned about there not being a window directly to the outside, but the temperature was always comfortable. Although some reviewers complained about noise, I did not have any trouble with noise during the night. I go to sleep early and wake up with the sun, however, so not sure if that makes any difference. The place was clean and it was super easy to book activities. That staff was so kind and helpful. Of all the places I stayed, I met the most female travelers (and solo travelers) in Monteverde. I did the Kinkajou Night tour, Monteverde guided tour in the morning, and took a shuttle to Santa Elena in the afternoon. I absolutely love nature and was glad I did both parks. Monteverde was great for spotting wildlife with the guides and Santa Elena was wonderful for getting a real feel for the cloud forest (it had more of the cloudy feel than Monteverde) and feeling a sense of real quiet. Camino Verde was the perfect accommodation. Just a simple place to sleep with a decent breakfast and helpful staff for choosing activities and getting around. I couldn't have asked for more!

An excellent place to stay in Santa Helena. It's close to Monteverde and the staff are fantastic. If you need help with tours or transportation they will go out of their way to assist you. || The room was of good size. The bed was the most comfortable I enjoyed during my stay in Costa Rica. The shower had hot water and the breakfast was very good. I had a few problems with the internet but when I mentioned it to the staff they took care of it immediately.

We stayed here for two nights for our anniversary, this was acknowledged on our arrival which was a lovely touch. All of the staff were super polite and helpful, breakfast was cooked fresh and very tasty. Free filter coffee and popcorn is available all day, with guests having access to a full kitchen and fridges to store food in. The common areas were well kept and very clean throughout our stay, with excellent views from the balcony which also has a wood burning stove for cold evenings. We had a double en suite room which was very comfortable and air conditioned. We made use of the laundry facility which is $14 for a tote sized bag.

A super comfortable and clean B&B in Monteverde with easy access to restaurants, shops and tours. Lovely bathrooms with really good locally produced toiletries. Jeaustin and Diego were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was also very good and the laundry service was an added bonus. I would highly recommend to anyone, exceeded expectations

Wow. I don't know if I have ever stayed at a better location. Im blown away by the staff (Diego is absolutely amazing) and the rooms and the breakfast. They have multiple breakfast options and serve you very yummy food with a beautiful view. Everything is so clean, and there are snacks (popcorn, tea, coffee) available all day long. The location couldn't be better, with town around the block and an amazing restaurant next door. My favorite part about this place is how amazing the staff is with recommendations and setting things up with local activities. Diego helped us book a night walk later in the week when we are staying at a different hotel, which is just above and beyond any expectations I had. I would recommend this place to any of my loved ones. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer! (Side note- there is no AC, however temperature was good here, and we didn't miss it)

We had such an amazing stay. The host Diego was truly fantastic and really made our experience. The Accomodation was lovely, breakfast was fantastic and the views were incredible. Definitely book this place if you’re in Monteverde!

Everything about this place is perfect! Great staff, they’re helpful and friendly . Great breakfast, if they know you have a tour in the morning they will help you out with that. Nice and CLEAN place. Location is good and seemed safe, only thing is you have to walk a bit to and from the shops which is fine but it does get dark early so could be a bit scary at first . Regardless it is a great place to stay at , will definitely be back!! There is a restaurant right beside that has great food !
