Camino Verde Bed & Breakfast Monteverde

We had a cabin booked elsewhere and the wind was so aggressive our two nights that tree branches were smashing it, banging & clanging hard on the roof and walls- we barely slept on night 1. We looked up in affordable option to sleep elsewhere for night two knowing we had a long drive to get through the day after. Diego (i think was his name) at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating, and they did have one room left. Although we could hear some wind (everywhere could on those few nights!) , it was nothing like our other place. We had absolutely no trouble sleeping. He let me check out the room to see about the noise and even suggested to also check out a place down the road that had a bigger room available - I’m so glad we spent the $60 to stay here. Breakfast is included, and it was delicious. A great find we would stay here again next time for sure! It looks like they have different types of rooms and the layout of the building is really cool. We wandered a little bit after breakfast. Common lounge areas have comfy couches. We had a shared bathroom and it was spotless . Never had to wait for anyone or anything like that, and the shower is separate from the toilet and sink, which is smart to keep each area freed up. We didn’t walk anywhere, so can’t comment on that … thanks for taking us in! Friendly staff & other travellers too. Awesome spot !!

After researching and reading reviews for almost every accommodation in Monteverde, I am beyond thankful for choosing Camino Verde. Honestly, do not let any reviews deter you from booking this bed and breakfast. Diego, who checked me in, was the highlight of this stay. He always took time to answer my thousands of questions (I'm a little neurotic), gave a locals insight to the best places in town, booked tours for me no problem, and always had a smile on his face. He radiates warmth and loves what he does. Along with the welcoming and helpful staff, the room was spacious and equipped with a dehumidifier that worked like a charm. The bathroom was clean with a huge shower and consistent hot water. Breakfast was yummy, the staff were pleasant, and there was indoor and outdoor seating both with views to enjoy while eating. An added bonus, the kitchen is available to use after breakfast hours for anything you need including a fridge to store personal provisions. One of my favorite parts about this place is the common area which really is the heart of the accommodation. There is a lovely fireplace, books to borrow, and an overall friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend this accommodation that's walking distance to town!!!

Staff, Josephine, was so welcoming and helpful. Like a host inviting you to their home, she showed us around and answered every question informatively and kindly. The bed was so very comfortable and the room perfectly clean and equipped for comfort. The place felt like home away from home, as we gathered in the evening around the fire, sharing mutual interests with other guests and taking recommendations on good places to eat. The parking is gated which helped us feel secure. We loved the design of the B&B and our favorite place was the deck over looking the Monteverde mountains. We had no problems with getting our Monteverde Extremo shuttle pickup and return, a big reason we selected this location. Once we saw the road conditions up that mountain we were very glad of our choice. Upon returning midday following our extreme adventures, we went to the kitchen, heated in the microwave our pizza from the previous night, and enjoyed our relaxed lunch on the deck with a view. I am so glad we selected Camino Verde!

We loved everything about this wonderful B&B! The staff is so welcoming and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. They serve a delicious and plentiful breakfast. There is coffee and tea available all day and they make popcorn in the lobby in the afternoon. The team arranged activities for us in the area and even was able to arrange for my husband to view a Champions League match on the TV in the lobby. I can’t say enough great things about this place. Don’t look elsewhere in Monteverde. Book here!

A total gem. Staff are excellent and friendly. Happy to help with details on excursions and very knowledgeable. Our room was clean and quiet. There are loads of nice sitting areas for reading or time alone as well as a great gathering area where we enjoyed drinks after our adventure and where a lovely breakfast is served each morning. Folteted water, coffee and tea are available all the time.|We lingered at the tables near the window, met other tourists and played cards while enjoying the jungle view.|Its a very short walk to town (but there is a decent hill if you are traveling with folks who have trouble wirh that). Easy to find shops, groceries, restaurants, ... The perfect stay while in the area

I absolutely loved my stay at Camino Verde. It was clean, quiet & perfectly located within short walking distance to town. The breakfast is fresh, delicious & filling. There is so much to do in Monteverde & the staff give excellent recommendations. I especially want to acknowledge Diego, who took the time to have meaningful conversation with me & cared about guests feeling comfortable & safe at all times. He helped me start my car when I was unable to myself. He is a genuine person who truly enjoys his job. What a great person to represent Camino Verde!

Excellent B&B in a great location. Stayed for 2 nights. The room was very clean and well appointed. My wife and I both thought the room was perfectly decorated and had really serene, relaxing vibe. Lots of outlets for charging devices. The kitchen area and deck off the back off the property were great places to enjoy the coffee and popcorn that were always available. The breakfast in the morning was a set menu of 4-5 different choices which included scrambled eggs, pancakes, rice and beans and the freshest fruit!! The manager/host Diego was always available and super helpful with making suggestions for things to see and places to eat. We would definitely stay at Camino Verde again without hesitation

Wonderful place and a great person at the reception who was very helpful and informative. The room was nice. A bit crowded - not enough space outside of the furniture. Location was great with easy access to Monteverde amenities, including restaurants. Breakfast was included. Took ages for the staff to bring the breakfast. And even though I had asked for a vegetable omelet, I guess due to the language barrier, she got me a ham omelet. I found out that they didn't have any vegetables and could only make a cheese omelet. I had to do with the rest of what was available in the buffet.
