We loved our stay at Camissa House on the last leg of an amazing trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe. In fact, we spoke frequently about how it was our ideal hotel: beautiful location and design, small and personal, ample inside and outside space (we stayed in Protea, which has a terrace with a gorgeous view of Cape Town, the bay and Lion's Head, but there are no shortage of terraces at Camissa House), and high-value amenities. Those amenities include a hot and cold breakfast, afternoon nibbles (either canapés or high tea, depending on the season) and all drinks from the bar. What could be more perfect? Wake up to a wonderful breakfast, sort out food for the rest of the day and return for drinks and nibbles before deciding what to do next. ||The service was also next-level: warm, welcoming and professional no matter who was on duty, though we especially appreciated getting to know Carlington and Tumi. ||Camissa House's gorgeous location is removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, but it's also surprisingly close to any Cape Town location you'd want to visit. Our wait for an Uber was usually 2-3 minutes (never more than 5), and the hotel-provided evening shuttle is a handy perk. ||Other reviews have already mentioned the...unique bathroom layout with no real wall or barrier between the toilet and the shower area. We weren't bothered by that, but it's good to know going in if traveling with friends or, say, your mom. The only bathroom issue we had on the third floor was the occasional loss of water pressure during high-demand evening times. Being on the third floor in that beautiful room was well worth that infrequent trade-off.||Overall, our stay at Camissa House was an ideal end to a wonderful trip! We can't wait to return!

Spent 4 nights at this lovely boutique hotel. The staff were wonderful and extremely accommodating. The made-to-order breakfast and other treats including all complimentary drinks were delicious. They provide a driver to take you and pick you up to any dinner reservation within the city and had lots of insights into places for us to visit. It felt like a 24/7 private concierge experience.

Camissa House ticks many of the boxes for an international traveller to Cape Town, although it's on the pricey side. The vantage point couldn't be better, with the immediate backdrop of Table Mountain and a panaromic view of Cape Town from the terraces. Interior design is top-notch, with plenty of contemporary art to keep the eyes occupied whilst enjoying complementary bevarages at the bar. There's a jaw-doppping atrium where an excellent breakfast is served, with a small koi carp pool just outside. Staff were universally attentive, although shifts meant frequent new introductions. The eight rooms are broadly similar and we stayed in a top-floor room (Protea) which had a pleasant terrace. The bedroom area was a little on the small size for a top-end establishment, with no separate sitting area in the room. The bathroom was a good size but suffered from a major design flaw of having a semi-open toilet behind a head height smoked glass partition. Perhaps this is an Afrikaans tradition, but it's definitely not one that international travellers would warm to. The flatscreeen TV in the bedroom is a good size, but we couldn't find a way of switching from the hotel welcome screen to that for streaming. A lot of information was provided verbally on check-in, and it would have been helpful to have this in written form in the room, including how to operate the TV. We believe that afternoon tea and canapes are provided, although we didn't see any evidence of the former and had to request the latter. Beverages are complementary throughout one's stay, which included MCC. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but we would suggest that urgent attention is given to the toilet arrangement in the bathrooms.

My wife and I went on our honeymoon to South Africa and our first stop was in Cape Town, where we stayed at the Camissa House. It was everything’s we could have asked for and more. The hotel is situated at the bottom of Table Mountain and boasts incredible views of both Lion’s Head Mountain and the city itself. Beyond the views, the hotel is extremely clean and the staff is incredibly warm, professional, and accommodating. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious, the evening snacks and drinks were great, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The free transportation into the heart of the city was also a nice added bonus. We will not hesistate to stay at the Camissa House next time we are in Cape Town!

We have just returned from 5 days at this lovely boutique hotel which is nestled at the foot of Table Mountain. It's a peaceful haven away from the hubbub of the Waterfront, although this is easily accessible with the very good hotel shuttle service, which is free in the evenings, or a cheap Uber. It feels more like staying at somebody's home rather than a hotel and this is all down to the outstanding staff. Everyone was excellent, although a special mention to Faseegh, Tumi, David & Siya, who kept us very well fed and watered.

We came here on honeymoon three years ago and couldn’t wait to come back! Once again Camissa House exceeded all expectations - all the staff are amazing and can’t do enough to help and ensure your stay is perfect. The location is stunning overlooking Cape Town and at the foot of Table Mountain. You can literally walk out the hotel and walk up to Table Mountain. Other accommodation doesn’t come close and we will be back again! Thank you Camissa House :)

We spend 4 days in Capetown after a Safari Tour in Botswana and Camissa house was the perfect place to wind down. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in every way. The best thing about the place is its location at the foot of Table Mountain with a great view over the city. Especially from the pool and from our room, which was on the upper floor.

We have recently returned from this lovely boutique hotel in Cape Town. It is just at the bottom of Table Mountain away from the hubbub of the waterfront, but only a short journey on the evening shuttle supplied free by the hotel. All of the staff were exceptional, but a particular thank you to Farseegh, Tumi, Siya & David who kept us fed and watered throughout the day. Highly recommended, more a home than a hotel.
