Cool things to do in Sydney with your family - SilverKris

"A sheltered harbour-side beach near Watsons Bay Ferry wharf and the South Head precinct that’s ideal for family days out. Paddleboarding is particularly popular, with on-site hire and the option to book an instructor for lessons, and there are also opportunities for snorkeling and sunbathing in a scenic, Instagram-friendly setting." - SilverKris

We ordered the brekkie sandwich, the veggie stack, a carrot cake cold brew, and a honeycomb matcha latte. The brekkie sandwhich was so good my husband nearly choked on it from wanting to eat it so fast. Bacon was thick and a little hard to chew through but delicious nonetheless. The carrot cake cold brew was refreshing and it really did taste like carrot cake with dark chocolate. The honeycomb matcha latte was delicious! It tasted similar to Offbeat's matcha, very rich in flavor and bigger size than Offbeat's. Love it.

Google
This has hit the spot, the burritos are OUT OF THIS WORLD Y’ALL! So filling, delicious and just melts in your mouth. The cookie we got knocked my socks off, no wonder they sold out so quickly every morning. Joseph and his team are amazing, please support our local Aussie coffee shop 💯🤠

Google
This avocado toast was absolutely delicious definitely one of my favorites! And the matcha latte was just as good. Today, I was happy.

Google
Got the blueberry matcha & the flavor was a hit not too sweet (which i appreciate). I also got a chicken sandwich which looked really good but it was so flat and over fried that there basically was just batter & no chicken. It was so chewy. Not sure if it’s a one off situation but I think quality of food being pushed out should be important especially when you’re a new business.

Google
Maybe one of the most perfect cortados I've ever had. The breakfast sandwich was great, as was the super thick bacon but maybe not the right choice structurally. I ended up eating the bacon separately. I'm gonna need to return to try the soft scramble.

Google
Such a great find! We came on a Saturday morning around 11 so it was a bit busy. Staff were very friendly and seemed calm despite the busyness- helped create a good, chill vibe. The coffee was delicious- just watching the barista you can see the craft and care they put into each cup. Makes it worth the wait. I had the carrot cake iced latte- yummy. We also got the soft scrambled eggs with avocado on the side. Very tasty. I wish there was a location in San Diego!

Google
Super cute and clean little cafe with Australian vibes. Everything I’ve gotten here has been great: chai latte, brekkie sandwich, soft scrambled eggs, matcha, etc. They make it so nice to customize anything with all of the add options. Even when your food is to go, they keep the presentation just as nice as if you were eating in. It’s still new-ish so no super long lines and the food always comes out quick and fresh. I’m vegetarian and am able to ask for no meat! Great subs with add on options. Definitely recommend!

Google
coffee and matcha were both absolutely delicious. The vibes were very cozy and excellent music was being played. Will definitely be coming back again!

Yelp
We tried to meet up with some friends at a nearby restaurant, but they were unexpectedly closed without any warning on the storefront or social media. Scrambling to find an alternative, we found Camp Cove, which was on our friend's list to try. Upon peeking inside of Camp Cove, it seemed to be a more compact cafe, but it seemed pretty popular. Fortunately, we were able to grab a table that could accommodate 4 people (not many of this seating). The staff seemed pretty friendly. Their drinks were good, but I think their dishes pleasantly surprised me. I think I typically don't expect much from coffee/tea shops that also serve food, but I feel like their food was so good and unique! Grilled halloumi salad: the halloumi was either grilled and it was so delicious! I loved the textures added by the greens, pistachio, and the farro. It felt so light and healthy. The dressing was also the right amount. Chicken schnitty: delicious and well seasoned. The chicken was crunchy and the avocado was a nice contrast to the fried chicken. Honeycomb matcha: strong matcha taste, a bit more earthy than refreshing for my preference. Still very good! Not too sweet. I think this is on par with some other local matcha shop. Iced carrot cake latte: couldn't really taste the carrot cake aspect. This was fine though. Overall, I would recommend this cafe!

Yelp
One of my favorite matcha spots near my workplace! They always have amazing seasonal matchas, and I'm obsessed with the Honey Matcha Latte and the Earl Grey Matcha -- both are so smooth, balanced, and delicious. Their breakfast burrito is also a must-try, especially with the sauce. It's super filling and flavorful, perfect for mornings when you need something satisfying. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor space is small, but it totally works and feels cozy, and the outdoor seating is great on nice days. Overall, such a cute and reliable spot with great drinks, great food, and good vibes. Highly recommend if you love matcha!

Yelp
Came in on a Friday before closing at 1:30pm. We got the earl grey latte (fall drink) and matcha latte (+ vanilla cold foam). My friend requested to add a cold foam with vanilla syrup to the matcha, which they happily allowed. Good amount of earl grey and coffee taste. I would maybe prefer a little stronger earl grey flavor. Matcha was also delicious, lightly sweetened and not overly milky. Friendly and quick service :) Earl Grey Latte: 4.5/5 Matcha Latte w/ vanilla cold foam: 5/5

Yelp
This was my first time at Camp Cove, and it's safe to to say that I'll be back! The cafe is really cute and you can tell it's heavily inspired by the beach (hence the name). I can already picture this place being a beach cafe next to the ocean, but we're in Sacramento so... I got the brekkie sandwich which was very flavorful and hearty. I loved that it comes with thick cut bacon-- I think that's what really made the sandwich for me. The egg was perfectly jammy, not too runny and also not cooked all the way through. The aioli that's added on the side was delicious and had a good spice kick to it. If you're the type to add hot sauce to anything, ask for this aioli sauce if you don't already get it with your order! The iced honeycomb matcha latte was soooo good. As a matcha connoisseur, it's always a hit or miss when I get matcha anywhere because some places use quality matcha, some places don't, and a lot of places don't know how to make good matcha. Camp Cove has good matcha. I personally thought that the honeycomb and the amount of matcha flavoring balanced each other out really well. And the foam on top was spectacular.

Yelp
Love this place and the staff! Super kind and were happy to give recommendations. The space inside is small, so come early if you want to sit on a Saturday. Our two drinks took about 15 minutes during a rush. Overall the honeycomb matcha was our fave! The crunchy bits added that extra sweetness. Matcha was smooth and flavorful.

Yelp
First, I want to say the food and most of the prices were decent at this place and if there hadn't been an issue with the service, the rating would have been much higher. When we got our drinks, our server didn't acknowledge us and we still thanked her and she didn't respond. She might have been irritated that my husband pointed out there was nothing visible stating they only take card and that they are giving away 3% to the credit card company for every transaction. As a business, it's their right to not accept cash (though it is the legal currency of the country) but as a customer, we have a right to point out that some people carry cash for a reason and don't use cards due to fraud. The other server was nicer but by the time he brought our food, I was tired of the other server being nice to everyone but us. On top of that, the place is small with no fans or AC. If we weren't in a rush and from out of town, we would have gone somewhere else. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the Anzac biscuit was really good. The coffee on the other hand had a bit of a burned/bitter taste to it and my husband said the breakfast sandwich wasn't worth the $14 price tag.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to trying out Camp Cove as I saw it on TikTok with unique matcha drinks like their blueberry and earl grey combinations. Their cafe was quite small with a few tables/chairs but perfect for grab and go drinks. I also saw that they had food and pastry options, but we wanted to try out their matcha. Service was quick and we were in and out of there within a couple of minutes. As for the drinks we tried, while I really liked their blueberry syrup, it overpowered the matcha flavor of the drink, and same with the earl grey latte. I would come back to try the food, but not the matcha lattes again.

Yelp
Camp Cove is a spot I've been meaning to check out since they opened in Sac because I am basic and I enjoy visiting cute coffee shops. Their thing is Australian-inspired vibes. The person taking our orders had an Aussie accent, so it already felt very authentic. It's a small spot and quite busy, but we received our drink and food orders fairly quickly. They have a solid menu for breakfast and brunch. They have an extensive non-coffee menu, which is always a plus for me because I'm not a coffee girlie. Oh! And there are cookies the size of your face. I got a seasonal matcha guava lemonade which completely hit the spot. I also got an avocado toast with a poached egg on it. The toast was a little pricey with the egg, but it was a nice twist on the standard avo toast with peas mashed in. The bread was substantial and thick, but still easily cut with a fork and knife and it wasn't gonna cut your mouth open. It's a nice spot for a post or mid-bike ride snack. Outdoor seating was quite limited with two small tables and 4 chairs, and one bench.

Yelp
Visited in July 2025 around 11 am. Came in for a caffeine fix and left mildly more sophisticated. Ordered a flat white and a cortado--both were solid, well-balanced, and satisfying. Service was friendly and laid-back, though nothing particularly memorable. The café hums with quiet charm, like a playlist you didn't know you loved. Aussie-inspired touches give it character without trying too hard. Not life-changing, but definitely life-improving for about 45 minutes.

Yelp
Camp cove-- located on o street right next to PSB! Street parking available, dog friendly coffee shop! Been wanting to try this spot and finally made it in this morning for an iced chai! It was really good! The perfect amount of spice and flavor! They also have a food menu and baked goods! The inside is really cute- decorated like a beach coffee shop! Can't wait to come back and try more stuff!

Yelp
Decided to drop in because I was craving some matcha! I ordered the Honey Comb Matcha Latte and it was delicious. The honey comb adds just the right kick of sweetness, especially since I enjoy my matcha with a little flavor twist. The staff was super friendly, the ambiance was cozy, and it's very dog-friendly, which is always a plus. Great vibes all around. Definitely recommend if you're in Sacramento and looking for a unique drink spot with welcoming energy!

Yelp
I started with the açaí bowl which is super tasty and the fruit is always delicious. The space is decently small but comfortable and the staff is very friendly. The Brekkie sandwich is arguably the best breakfast sandwich is Sacramento. The cheese and thick bacon are a great combination.
google avatar

Nhuy C.

Yelp
The breakfast sandwich is so simple but good and the thickness of the bacon is perfection. Do not skip out on the banana bread with butter - it's a must! The egg was a little too salty for me, but so pretty. The matcha and coffee were just standard. I couldn't really taste the matcha. I would still come back for the banana bread and sandwich. The only downside is the store is small, so very limited seating.

Yelp
I came in to bring my coworkers to this new super cute spot and I also wanted a snack. So glad I got talked into buying the chocolate chip cookie bc it was AMAZING! Wonderful customer service, so cute inside, and really like the iced matcha! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Iced Honeycomb Matcha Latte 3/5 Iced Chai Latte 5/5 This cafe was very clean and had a good amount of seating even though it was pretty small inside. The menu was very simple and I really wanted to like the honeycomb matcha but it just didn't taste as good as I hoped. The service was good and they were quick when making the drinks. They even have a polaroid wall with pictures of pets and it was so cute!

Yelp
We stopped in on a Sunday morning around peak time (~12pm)- the cafe was quite busy, basically every single table was taken, and there were about 2-3 other parties in line ahead of us. The space itself is very cute and well-decorated, although the seating areas are pretty limited. This wasn't really an issue for us, since we were planning on just taking our drinks to go for a walk around the Capitol rose garden. The girl who helped us at the counter was really friendly, and gave us a lot of suggestions regarding the menu. I ended up ordering the earl grey matcha, which is a matcha latte sweetened w/ earl grey infused syrup - I asked for this half-sweet, which was perfect. I was also interested in the cold foam that comes w/ their usual honeycomb matcha, and requested to have that added on top. It was delicious, highly recommend!

Yelp
Honeycomb matcha!!! Amazing!!!!! I came back to have this again! Absolutely amazing I love it The burrito was amazing as well! We got the brekkie bowl and that was sooo fresh and filling. Absolutely a great experience. The owner is so friendly
google avatar

Dan P.

Yelp
Iced blueberry matcha latte - comes w light cream top that I wished there was more of. blueberry flavor is fresh and not artificial with slight citrusy aftertaste. I def recommend adjusting sweetness to 50%, it's still sweet but not overpowering. matcha is smooth and subtle, not grassy or grainy. Staff friendly and my drink came out really quick! Plenty of seatings and table - perfect for work or hanging out. Didn't try their pastries and brunch items but everything looked amazing.
google avatar

Leilua L.

Yelp
The chicken schnitzel sandwich alone is 10 starsss! Allll the stars actually! It was the best thing I've eaten in awhile. I have come before and didn't really like the blueberry latte I got, but came back for another try and was not disappointed. My friend got the Avo toast which was equally amazing. Nice distance from capitol park and great service. I'll definitely be back for the sandwich.
google avatar

Yelp
Babe, you have to go to Camp Cove.. it's so delicious. The blueberry matcha is amazing, and my absolute favorite latte is the Earl Grey iced latte. I never would've thought to pair Earl Grey with coffee, but it's become a new favorite. Plus, they have an incredible chocolate chip cookie that sells out on weekends--definitely ask for it warmed. The shop is small but has enough seating, and it's really pretty, almost like stepping into a cozy beach-town coffee spot.
google avatar

Terri S.

Yelp
I've left a review on my old yelp account, but I'm back to say this place is still a 10/10 for me! Their chicken wrap is so good, flavorful, and it's portions are generous, I usually have to take home the other half! Alongside their matcha, it's so good, perfect mixture between sweet and earthy. They brought back their honeycomb matcha for the season, which is by far my favorite. I also love their banana bread, it comes warm and has that natural sweetness from the bananas. Workers here are very kind and get your drinks and food out quickly.
google avatar

Julia G.

Yelp
Overhyped and not worth the drive! My latte was just not good - no espresso flavor and only milk tasting. Also, I think this establishment is extremely overpriced. There are so many other options in this area that are hands down better and worth your money.

Yelp
I've been here twice so far and both times have been incredible. This spot is so cute! I love the branding and overall ambiance of it. The cafe itself is quite small with a few tables, but it's great for a quick stop. The first time I came here I ordered an iced matcha with oat milk and banana bread. The matcha was super smooth without any bitter taste. The banana bread was some of the best I ever had!!! They warmed it up for me and topped it off with some toffee or pecan butter (it was a while ago so I can't remember exactly). That butter was seriously so delicious and enhanced the banana bread more than I thought it would. My friend ordered an Açaí bowl and the presentation was amazing! She said the flavor was really good and was very refreshing. My second time here which was yesterday, I ordered the blueberry matcha. I was quite skeptical because I find that blueberry doesn't always pair well with coffee/matcha. HOWEVER, this was one of the best drinks I ever had!! The blueberry sauce/syrup tasted really smooth, wasn't overly sweet, and wasn't grainy. It really elevated the matcha and added such a delicious and balanced tartness to it. My friend got the honeycomb matcha and also noted how smooth and creamy it was. Service here is really fast and staff are very nice!! This is def a top spot for me now.

Yelp
First time at Camp Cove and had heard so much about them prior to coming. I was waiting for the dust to settle and for them to work out any issues. I was instantly greeted coming in and it was already a somewhat full house. There were a few empty tables and open seated bar along the window. Ordered the oat milk flat white and their brekkie sandwich without cheese. The flat white came out quickly and it was divine! They also have a matcha selection which seems to be a hot item. I think almost every other order I was listening in on had a blueberry lemon matcha or honeycomb matcha. Will have to try those next time. There was a bit of a wait with the sandwich but it is to be expected for the morning. The brekkie sandwich comes with 2 thick cuts of bacon, egg, on a toasted sesame brioche (I think) bun. So, I eat bacon once a year and I'm also picky with bacon. Camp Cove's bacon is thick, juicy and leaves you craving for more. I thought I'd never like bacon but I absolutely loved theirs. The cafe is small but I loved how they used every inch of space they could get. There's outside seating tables if you prefer. Staff & service was excellent and I'll definitely be back. If you're reading this and haven't had the chance to visit, highly suggest coming.

Yelp
Camp Cove is a treasure trove of great drinks, healthy food options, and the not-so-healthy but indulgent treats. I've been eyeing this place for quite some time now and finally had a chance to try them out. My first visit, I only had their seasonal Honeycomb Matcha and Chocolate Chunk Cookie, but those two were enough to prove this place legit and deserving of 5 stars. Iced Honeycomb Matcha 5/5* This matcha is not a latte, so no milk. It's tea based, and one of the best tea-based matchas I've had. Usually non-dairy/soy/coconut based matchas are too watery and bland, but Camp Cove's version had the distinct matcha flavor and was fully blended well into the tea. It had just the right amount of sweetness with a creamy foam and bits of honeycomb on top. This is a seasonal drink, so not sure how long it'll be on the menu, but hoping they make it a permanent menu item. Chocolate Chunk Cookie 5/5* These fat plump babies with its seductive gooey center were calling me from the pastry case, but I resisted and did not get one. But the force is strong! There was a problem with the register and they had to re-ring me up. "I saw the sign" and used this opportunity to tack it onto my purchase. What a great move! That deserved a back pat on my part. Flaky salt is a must on all cookies, and this one didn't not skimp. It was scattered throughout the cookie for that salty sweet crunch. The chocolate was a mega hunk and added such a melty satisfaction to the crisp edges and soft inner texture of the cookie. Cold Brew 2/5* My 2nd visit, I decided to try out some coffee for a well rounded idea of this place. The cold brew had sour notes, which I'm not a fan of. First sip was pretty intense and not so smooth tasting. I'd probably stick to the teas or try a flavored coffee instead next time. The remodeled place is small and cute, taking over the previous Indian restaurant space next to Supreme Pizza. The space is now bright and airy with boho vibes. There are always patrons hanging out for a quick lunch, and I'm excited to try their food menu, especially the well-praised breakfast sandwiches.

Yelp
Camp Cove has amazing coffee and breakfast along with sweet treats and lunch. I got a standard mocha and it was the perfect sweetness for me. That is to say not cloyingly sweet but not bitter either. It was a drinkable temperature and presented beautifully. We also had an iced Chai that was super flavorful. I had the avo toast and I appreciated the extra pop of pomegranates and also the sweet peas mixed in with the avocado. The pomegranate added a beautiful color and the pea was a great flavor pop. The sourdough was fresh, squishy and thick. We also tried the acai bowl and the fruit was super fresh and again, the presentation was beautiful with no skimping on the fresh fruit. The café itself is a little small with not much seating and the chairs are not particularly comfortable. The service was friendly and fast. I look forward to going back!

Yelp
Ummmm how cute?!?! Really amazing vibes at this cafe. It's a smaller space but there's lots of seating for the space provided. A great spot for catching up with friends for sure. Their menu has lots of flavor and unique ideas. The blueberry matcha was perfection. It had little blueberry bits at the bottom which made a yummy addition. The vanilla latte was also delicious, no notes. I'm excited to go back and try other drinks!

Yelp
Camp cove is a little more hidden and can easily be missed if not paying attention, but it's a cute small place. The staff was super friendly and kept the line moving. The overall atmosphere of the place felt like a brunch but cafe style as it's a smaller place but with tables inside to sit. Honeycomb matcha: good drink, but personally tasted nothing like matcha. It tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios milk, which essentially isn't bad but didn't satisfy my craving for matcha. Blueberry matcha: this one definitely tasted like blueberries and a little more like matcha than the honeycomb matcha, but again, didn't hit the spot for a matcha craving. This was good if you don't like strong matcha. Breakfast sandwhich: a really bland sandwhich, I wish it had some sauce or even just more flavor to it. I did appreciate the runny egg, I've never had anything like that before in a sandwhich. The texture was fluffy and smooth to eat but just lacked flavor personally. Chocolate chip cookie: honestly, this is what saved them lol. I'm a sucker for a good cookie and THIS was a good cookie. Super big and I love how chocolatey it was, complimented the sea salt super well. I would be willing to come back for cookies or even a second chance at a regular matcha.

Yelp
My favorite cafe in downtown during my lunch. I had their banana bread and they recommended some additions like butter and powdered sugar to it and I couldn't say no.
google avatar

Nazanin T.

Yelp
Tons of food and drinks to choose from! I would say there is something here for everyone as the menu can be customizable at some points and they offer sweet, savory, or fresh options! We tried the blueberry matcha drink that was premade and the egg dish. Everything was simple yet flavorful. I'm curious to try their baked goods next time!

Yelp
Upon entering, you'll find a cozy establishment with a bright coffee shop feel. With only 5 tables and six seats at the bar looking out on the street, I could definitely see this place being packed. A couple benches and stools are available for to-go orders too. Smooth jazzy music played on the Friday morning I arrived, and the two individuals manning the counter/cashier bar were sweet and calm. I did detect a soft Australian accent from one of them which made the experience even that more special. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with thick cut bacon and a Chicken Schnitty. Holy cow wow, this place exceeded my expectations. The breakfast sandwich was salty, unctuous, and filling in all the best ways. The egg was fried perfectly, and the broken yolk added the saucey texture missing from the sandwich. The Schnitty was one of the best sandwiches I have had in a while. I love fresh avocado and their mild ginger sauce was extremely flavorful and earthy. The chicken was fried well and the whole thing came together with a great mix of flavors and texture. No notes. Also, both sandwiches came on buns overloaded with sesame and a fantastic slice of white cheese. I would love to know what kind of cheese it is. Coming back here soon!

Yelp
This cute cafe offers a unique breakfast experience with healthy, fresh flavors. I love their soft scrambled eggs, breakfast bowl with halloumi and matcha! It's a small shop so I wouldn't work from here but def great to enjoy your food and go. Staff is very attentive and helpful.

Yelp
I stopped into Camp Cove with a coworker after seeing them pop up on Yelp and Instagram. I love checking out new coffee houses and it's even better when they have delicious food. After learning that the owner is Australian and that they were bringing Aussie flavors to Sacramento with their menu I knew I had to order the flat white. After seeing the photos of the soft scrambled eggs I was sold- they looked PERFECT! My flat white ($6) was delicious and I learned they use Amigo Coffee Roasters. The soft scrambled eggs ($12) come with toasted sourdough and you can add on other ingredients like thick cut bacon, grilled halloumi, roasted mushrooms, kale, avocado, and labneh. I opted for the thick cut bacon (+$4). The owner brought out our food and the eggs were beautiful, perfectly cooked, and seasoned well too. I typically like to add hot sauce to my eggs, but these didn't need anything. It was nice to make little bites of sourdough, egg, and bacon and it paired well with the coffee. The whole cafe is welcoming and there's a good amount of seating inside. Perfect to meet up with a friend, coworker or date. They just opened recently so we'll see more changes coming to the menu, but I'm very excited to go back again.

Yelp
I'm always on the hunt for the best matcha ! As soon as I had seen this hot and new business open up , I knew I just had to give them a try ! Camp cove is conveniently located next door to pizza supreme being and serves up one of the best matcha lattes in town ! You can get it with or without honeycomb , but I believe the honeycomb is seasonal . The customer service is great and the drinks are always good . I recommend :)

Yelp
A very cute cafe with great coffee and delicious food! This is a place to take a moment and enjoy life~ They serve drinks and food. They menu isn't huge but everything on there are specially curated by the chef. So you can't go wrong with anything. Really just depends on what you feel like. I got a cappuccino and banana bread to start. The cappuccino is made perfectly. And this being an Australian cafe, I'll have to try the flat white next time. My coworker got the flat white and it looks great! The barista did an amazing job she is so wonderful! The banana bread is so good! So soft. They warm it up and add honey comb butter on top and it adds a little butteriness and a little sweet and salty. It's well balanced. Omg it's delicious!!! I then followed up with a soft scramble with roasted mushrooms. The soft scramble is beautiful and so delicate soft. The texture is impeccable. It's seasoned perfectly and goes well with the roasted mushrooms. The sourdough bread came toasted. This is a very well rounded plate. So good! We were able to chat with the chef and I can tell he is so passionate about his craft. They use good ingredients and pour a lot of love into their cooking. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. I can't wait to come back and try more. And get more banana bread.

Yelp
I love trying new coffee shops on my lunch breaks and yesterday's choice was Camp Cove. It has a great simplistic yet summery Aussie vibe and the presentation of drinks and food items are really what drew me in. Upon arriving, parking was difficult as it is for most coffee shops in the area but i ended up finding metered parking. When ordering, the guy at the register (assuming owner?) took my order and then just kind of stared off into space... I said thank you but no response...so I walked away.... at this point the customer service felt meh... I ordered the blueberry matcha $7 and the sunrise burrito $16 (+bacon $4). My bill came out to almost $30...which is pretty pricey for what I thought to be a quick lunch break stop. After ordering, the matcha came out fast but the burrito took almost 20mins and 4 other customers were served their food before me. I walked up to the counter after the fourth person and asked if they were still making it because my lunch break was nearly over and the chef said it was finishing up. I waited by the counter so I could leave quickly after and the barista came up after a couple minutes. Asked Me, " you need something?" In a weird tone.... The customer service here for me was not the best at all...which sucks because I saw other customers getting very friendly service and I've read raving reviews... Now for the actual items ordered.... Blueberry Matcha: I initially came to this spot for this drink because I hadn't seen it anywhere else before! As I watched them make the drink I noticed the matcha is premade in a squirt bottle. Some reviews noted this drink was water based but now it's milk based. It tasted pretty sweet and more like jasmine than matcha, but the blueberry syrup was good. I probably wouldn't order it again... Sunrise Burrito: The burrito was aesthetically pleasing and quite large. I feel like I could've split it with someone else. All of the components meshed really well together and it was very filling. As for the bacon, it's thick cut but do I think it's worth it to pay $4 extra for one slice in the whole burrito? I'd steer clear next time. It was chewy and didn't bite well. I could've just had it on the side because it came out in one large piece anyways. All in all, I think the spot is good but not great. Probably wouldn't stop by here again during a lunch break but more likely on a weekend morning! I think it has potential to be really good but at the price point, I could go elsewhere and get better matcha so maybe coffee next time.

Yelp
My coworkers and I were eager to try Camp Cove since I first heard of it opening. Located walking distance from our office, our group of three took the short walk over and were happy to find one open table during lunchtime. The staff greeted us right away and even offered to help clear the just-vacated table for us as we were ordering. CC is convenient for groups like ours, where we can easily order individually at the counter before sitting down. Between the 3 of us, we tried the soft scramble eggs with bacon, soft scramble with mushrooms, and the rice noodle salad. The drinks looked good as well, but we had all already had our caffeine fixes for the day, so we'll have to come back for those! The short wait passed quickly as we chatted, and my coworkers were kind enough to wait as I snapped a photo before digging in. The eggs were delicious! Something about a creamy, silky soft scramble really hits the spot. The thick cut bacon was also exactly what you'd expect - salty, porky, with a chew. I'll be visiting again with the hopes to try their drinks and other food items. The banana bread looks really good, so I have my eye on that.

Yelp
A friend of mine suggested coming to check out Camp Cove - she knows how much I love coffee and love supporting small local businesses. I came to Camp Cove on a Saturday morning while downtown walking my dogs. They are a dog-friendly spot, however, the interior is quite small and my dogs are quite large (I left them outside). I decided to order a dirty chai latte with oat milk and their Brekkie sandwich. The Brekkie sandwich was an over easy egg on a toasted sesame roll with thick cut bacon and cheese. The service was very friendly and the staff was kind and attentive. The space is very clean and modern and minimalist. Once my latte and sandwich were ready, I sat at a countertop, looking out the window to enjoy the sunshine and also monitor my dogs. The dirty chai was smooth and not overly sweet. And the sandwich was filling and delicious. Definitely an awesome little coffee spot and place to grab a bite to eat if you find yourself down near the capital.

Yelp
Stopped in for some caffeine this morning - although it's downtown, the parking was easy since they're on the outskirts. I was surprised to see them open up so close to another new coffee shop but I hope they both thrive! The decor inside is simple and clean. The menu is equally simple but they did have a couple seasonal drinks featuring honeycomb. I picked the honeycomb matcha, which is americano style so there is no milk in it. I typically prefer my matcha with milk so I was skeptical but I was actually really happy with the drink! It was perfectly sweet from the honeycomb and cream, and didn't taste "watery" at all. The service was great - the owner was so kind to make a little babyccino for our daughter. I have been eyeing the breakfast sandwiches so I'll definitely have to come back again to try more!

Yelp
Camp Cove has been on my list for a while now. I was finally back in Sac and had to visit. They are located near Capitol Park, on the ground level of some office buildings. It was easy to find street parking on a Saturday afternoon. The coffee shop itself is pretty small, about 5 tables (3 two tops and 2 four tops) and a counter with barstool-style seats along the window. There were 4 of us and waited a bit for a table to open up after we ordered, it wasn't too bad. We ordered two matcha honeycomb lattes, a matcha earl grey latte (this was really, really good) and a chai latte - all very tasty! The matcha is great quality. For food, we ordered the banana bread with honeycomb butter (SO GOOD, GET THIS), the brekkie sando, the grilled halloumi bowl and the soft scramble egg with kale and mushroom. All the food was delicious and seasoned perfectly. The brekkie sando had a nice over easy egg and thick cut bacon, which I loved. The halloumi bowl was my favorite, the farro was the perfect touch and added a great amount of heartiness since everything else was so light and fresh. The soft scrambled egg was incredible and I loved the mushrooms. The staff were so kind and attentive and brought all our items to our table, which was very thoughtful. I can't wait to be back to try the other food items and coffee. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Quick stop at Camp Cove before the midtown farmers market, and the iced Honeycomb Matcha, Iced Mocha, and Brekkie Sandwich did not disappoint. Very tasty and wish I didn't share my sando. The sandwich had thick cut bacon, one egg, and cheese on a sesame bun. The word in the street is to order a tim tam slam. You bite the opposite corners of a tim tam cookie, and dunk it halfway into your coffee to use it as a straw. Supposed to be tasty, so I'll have to return for that one.

Yelp
A coffee shop has no business having breakfast as good as this place. We were blown away by the unique flavors and amazing quality and presentation of our food. Did we get transported to one of Australia's Michelin star restaurants? Maybe. Great coffee. Amazing chai latte. Friendly and fast service. Nice atmosphere, but small so it gets packed pretty quickly.

Yelp
New coffee shop in town? I'm there! Iced oat milk latte with blueberry sauce $8 (+$1 oat milk, +$1 sauce)- I LOVED the real blueberries in this not-too-sweet sauce! They usually pair this with matcha for another drink, but the barista offered it as an option because the miso caramel was unavailable, and I was not disappointed! 9.4/10 Açaí bowl $14- actually so impressed with this! The portion size was enough for two and it was absolutely loaded with granola and fresh fruit. The açaí was also the perfect texture- not too soft but not too icy! 9.8/10 Brekkie Sandwich $14- this breakfast sandwich is definitely indulgent! The thick cut bacon is fatty and tender and the egg is nice and jammy, overall a little salty 8.8/10 Chocolate chunk cookie $5- this cookie is HUGE! Loved the soft middle and crisp edges, and any cookie with flaky salt is a win 9/10 The staff was really sweet and helpful- I'll need to come back to try their miso caramel when it's back in stock!

Yelp
I was looking for a spot to grab breakfast on Saturday morning before the Midtown Farmer's Market. I found Camp Cove and the food options looked delicious and the aesthetic relaxed. I hesitate to eat downtown/midtown but parking was available on the street about one block away (2 hour spots that weren't metered). Not bad at all! The employee who took my order was friendly and patient. I decided to order the sunrise burrito and mentioned I wanted to split the meal. It was awesome that the employee mentioned the burrito would be served in halves so it would be the perfect option to share. I went with the flat white (per lots of previous Yelp review suggestions) and my sister chose a chai latte. Everything was brought to the bar-height counter we were sitting at. I wanted to people watch from my seat. The drinks were prepared well and had fancy coffee art. Both were served at a good temperature so we didn't have to wait long for our first taste. My favorite part of the order was the soft scrambled eggs in the sunrise burrito. It was so well prepared and had the perfect seasoning. The burrito was a nice size for us to split and be comfortable, but not full. I'm still thinking about that burrito and want to encourage any brekkie enthusiast to try it.

Yelp
Small spot but great service and good! All of the staff was super nice and accommodating. We had a little bit of everything. First, the staff. They were very friendly and even helped us combine two small tables since the larger ones were taken and we had our 2 year old and 4 month old with stroller. So they helped us squeeze in. Also, when they brought our coffees out they offered a small hot chocolate to our 2 year old on the house. So nice!! Iced vanilla latte with oatmilk- delish! Hot mucha with oatmilk- must get!! Yummy chocolate flavor but not overly sweet. Banana butter- warmed with honey butter. Omg I wish they would smother it over every part of that slice. Must try. Breakfast sandwich- perfect pop to the yolk. And that bacon was THICK. Just like we like her. I do wish they put some sort of spread or sauce on it though. Breakfast burrito- my husband had this and really liked it. Wasn't my vibe because of the mushrooms, but that's a personal thing. Wish the sandwich came with the chipotle mayo that the burrito had. Soft scramble with side of bacon- eggs cooked to perfection. Again, that bacon was THICK and delicious. I think it was whole wheat sourdough bread that came with it. I wash they would have thrown some butter with it. Was a little dry otherwise. On our way out I decided we had to try the chocolate chip cookie with sea salt. Oh boy was I glad we did!! It was amazing. Chewy yet soft. Crisp edges. Melty chocolate chunks and the flakey salt was divine. I would come back for that alone. Such a great spot and easy parking on the street.

Yelp
Second time going and I will say it was a lot better than my first. The honey matcha was really good and I loved the bits of honey crumble on top. The matcha flavor came through a lot compared to the first time. The breakfast sandwich was good both time and the thick bacon slice is what really makes it! The service was good and quick. There were people sitting inside the cafe but it wasn't loud at all, a possible place to hang out and get some work done.

Yelp
I came to Camp Cove after hearing great things about their matcha, and while it didn't totally hit the mark for me, I still had a nice experience overall. I tried the honeycomb matcha latte, and honestly it was a bit of a letdown. It tasted more like water with sugar than matcha.. The flavor was super light/ watery and I couldn't really taste the matcha at all. The cream on top was tasty and the sweet crunchy bits (on the cream) added a nice texture but it just didn't come together for me. I wouldn't order it again, though I'd still be open to trying one of their other drinks. On another note, the breakfast burrito totally surprised me. It wasn't super greasy or heavy; just simple and satisfying. The egg, cheese, and mushroom were delicious! It felt like a good meal that left me full enough without that post-burrito food coma. For the interior: indoor seating is limited and a bit tight. They left the door open while I was there, which definitely opens up the place if you don't mind the draft. There are a few outlets, so it might be a nice spot to hang out with a book or do a bit of work, but don't expect a ton of space. Still, it has a cozy atmosphere, and I'd definitely come back to try more food and maybe a coffee next time. Overall: some hits and misses, but enough potential that I'd return

Yelp
Overall? Total win. Cozy corner cafe that nails the basics with your standard coffee lineup but also flexes its creativity with Matcha and Latte variations. Minimalist, warm, and inviting. Service is quick, the energy is chill, and there's enough indoor seating to camp out without feeling like a squatter. I'm definitely coming back to check out their espresso Parking? Street parking Honeycomb Matcha (5/5): Americano meets dessert hybrid, with layers of water, matcha, and a fluffy honeycomb foam topped with crumbles. It's not overly sweet, which lets the honey pair effortlessly with the earthy umami of the matcha
