Yelp
Camp Cove is a treasure trove of great drinks, healthy food options, and the not-so-healthy but indulgent treats.
I've been eyeing this place for quite some time now and finally had a chance to try them out. My first visit, I only had their seasonal Honeycomb Matcha and Chocolate Chunk Cookie, but those two were enough to prove this place legit and deserving of 5 stars.
Iced Honeycomb Matcha 5/5*
This matcha is not a latte, so no milk. It's tea based, and one of the best tea-based matchas I've had. Usually non-dairy/soy/coconut based matchas are too watery and bland, but Camp Cove's version had the distinct matcha flavor and was fully blended well into the tea. It had just the right amount of sweetness with a creamy foam and bits of honeycomb on top. This is a seasonal drink, so not sure how long it'll be on the menu, but hoping they make it a permanent menu item.
Chocolate Chunk Cookie 5/5*
These fat plump babies with its seductive gooey center were calling me from the pastry case, but I resisted and did not get one. But the force is strong! There was a problem with the register and they had to re-ring me up. "I saw the sign" and used this opportunity to tack it onto my purchase. What a great move! That deserved a back pat on my part. Flaky salt is a must on all cookies, and this one didn't not skimp. It was scattered throughout the cookie for that salty sweet crunch. The chocolate was a mega hunk and added such a melty satisfaction to the crisp edges and soft inner texture of the cookie.
Cold Brew 2/5*
My 2nd visit, I decided to try out some coffee for a well rounded idea of this place. The cold brew had sour notes, which I'm not a fan of. First sip was pretty intense and not so smooth tasting. I'd probably stick to the teas or try a flavored coffee instead next time.
The remodeled place is small and cute, taking over the previous Indian restaurant space next to Supreme Pizza. The space is now bright and airy with boho vibes. There are always patrons hanging out for a quick lunch, and I'm excited to try their food menu, especially the well-praised breakfast sandwiches.
