What an exceptional place! Stayed here for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. This is serious upscale glamping. The "tent" was first class as were all the amenities and thoughtful touches from the telescope and yoga mats to the Aesop shampoo and conditioner that my wife feel in love with. The view from every window and especially the elevated deck/porch was awesome! We also got to enjoy a small fire under the stars every night that made this vacation special. Highly recommend Camp Elena to anyone looking for that special get away.

We had a lovely visit to Camp Elena with our kids 15yrs, 13yrs, 9yrs. The tent was fantastic, linens, bed, soaps, kitchenette…ALL OF IT was perfect. I would highly recommend if staying in Terlingua. A few things to note: 1. The camp is approx 15 min on a rough(washboard) dirt road once you turn off the pavement. I recommend arriving during daylight. It’s pitch black(duh) and hard to see at night. 2. If it’s windy at night, which is rare, the tent will flap around and likely keep you awake. Earplugs are provided and recommended 3. The staff was very accommodating via text message, but no staff are on site 4. This is a “quiet zone” once sunsets, I don’t think this is a young kid friendly place, when it’s dark, it should be quiet AND DARK ! Noise travels and whispering is a thing. I wouldn’t take young kids here

Loved this place! We were pleasantly surprised with the kitchen area, was not expecting fridge, stovetop and microwave. Views were amazing and check in/ out was a breeeze. It was a little further off the highway than desired, but also liked the privacy so gave location a 4 star. Overall would definitely come back.

Absolutely one of the best stays we’ve ever experienced. The service, (allowed us to drop some cold items in the fridge several hours before check in), the views (priceless), all the small touches from the coffee, teas, electrolytes… it was absolutely perfect. We will most definitely stay here again. If there anything at all I could suggest it would have been a poker for the fire pit. But i ain’t letting that ruin a thing!! A lot of rentals could learn a thing or two from Camp Elena!

We had a wonderful time staying at Camp Elena. The location was just far enough off the road and the views were 10/10! We would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting to venture ti BBNP! It was a quick drive to the park and ann even quicker drive into Terlingua where we had some delicious meals. The room was spacious and we were very comfortable for our entire stay. The sunrises and sunsets from our cabin were spectacular!

I don't have the words to describe Camp Elena. I am so grateful to have had the chance to spend three nights in this dream setting. The tents are luxurious, spotlessly clean, and decorated with great taste. We had a peaceful stay that allowed us to recharge our batteries. We enjoyed reading in the hammock area and even got to meet some little roadrunners! The sunrises and sunsets are unreal, not to mention the sky once night falls. As soon as I left, I already wanted to come back! It was pure bliss. Camp Elena is just a few minutes from Terlingua!

Camp Elena is our favorite place to stay when we go to Terlingua and Big Bend parks! We love that it's way off the highway, yet still convenient to town, the privacy, the beautiful and well appointed "tents" and included amenities, and of course the incredible views! We have recommended Camp Elena to all of our friends who also love going to Big Bend 😁.

We stayed 4 nights for my husband’s 60th birthday celebration. When they say “luxury tents”, they weren’t kidding. Yes, it is a tent but the towels, linens, and bed are all high quality. Everything inside and outside the tent was thoughtfully curated to make our stay a comfortable and memorable one. Would 100% recommend!

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at Camp Elena in March, 2025. We had a fantastic time. The amenities were first class and super comfortable. Also, very cool to stay in a tent. We felt like the hosts anticipated all our needs. The views from the porch were awesome. We will definitely stay there again.
