Camp Elena

Such an amazing experience. I have never felt so relaxed. It was so magical. The road to the camp is a little far and difficult to access. We definitely needed my husband's truck. The water was also a little too cool for me; I would have liked warmer. But, the solitude and beauty of the place was amazing. It also was SO clean. I couldn't have asked for a better trip!! We will definitely be back.

I’ve been to Big Bend countless times, and this is by far the best place I’ve ever stayed! The tents are clean, and the bathrooms are really nice. All of the amenities are upscale and great quality. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into each part of the layout. There’s definitely no corners cut. The views are spectacular and the camp feels very safe. I’ve already recommended this place to many of my friends. So excited to stay again in the future!

Big Bend has been my bucket list for some time and I have searching the nearby hotel to stay with my family. I was very skeptical of what to expect and I spoke with Stacy a few times but even then, I did not know what to expect. From the moment we arrived at Camp Elena we were blown away by the impeccable service and stunning ambiance. The staff welcomed us warmly and went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. The rooms were not only spotless but also beautifully decorated, offering the perfect blend of modern elegance and comfort. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the panoramic views from our balcony were simply breathtaking. The amenities were equally impressive. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool, indulging in rejuvenating spa treatments, and savoring delicious meals at the on-site restaurant. Every dish we tried was a culinary delight, and the breakfast spread was especially exceptional. What truly set this hotel apart was the attention to detail. From the complimentary treats in the room to the personalized recommendations from the concierge, we felt pampered throughout our stay. Did I mention - Stargazing - as the night went on - it just got better and better.... Thank you Stacy - you were simply amazing and thank you for taking all my calls and putting our minds to ease - we truly appreciate your help! We can’t recommend Camp Elena highly enough! Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or just some time to unwind, this hotel is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to return!

The desert was magical. Waking up and seeing the colors change over the mountain thru our sliding glass doors and our oversize zip up window was a great way to start the day. The glamp tent was perfect and super comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the balcony. Loved the fire pit that on a cool night. Only thing lacking was a place to hang some clothes.

We've stayed at Camp Elena twice now and we'll surely be back again. For me, it is just the right balance of amenities for a getaway to Big Bend. The space is comfortable, there kitchen is well stocked to make good meals, and a hot shower after a day of hiking is incredible. The bed is comfy, the heater in the winter is invaluable on a cold morning. The view from each tent is incredible, being off the main road and up the hill is perfect. It's a very relaxing and peaceful place to be - the perfect escape. I can't recommend it enough.

Absolutely loved Camp Elena. The rooms are stocked with super comfy bed and high quality linens, great set up in the kitchen with French press/pour over coffee/beans/dishes and just enough cook wear to make a meal. The bathroom had a very nice, roomy shower with great soaps and lotions. The deck and camp fire area were also set up perfectly. The view from the bed is stunning. We also added borrowing a Yeti cooler and backpack and was pleasantly surprised by little extras like a picnic blanket and binocs. Absolutely perfect! We will def go back to CE!

Attention to every detail starts with their email which provides detailed directions to the tent retreat.Walking into tent you first see the beautiful view through the sliding glass doors which extend the entire length of the tent. 2 bags of chips and Kind bars were on the dresser. I don’t usually eat chips but it was the perfect welcome snack after a long drive. Kitchen well stocked with 2 types of coffee makers plus frother and tea. Bed super comfortable with plenty of pillows. Awesome deck & 2 chairs and telescope. Bathroom and shower very nice with plenty of fluffy towels. Quality lighting and furniture in tent. Didn’t get chance to use the grill provided. Also provided ear plugs given that during high winds the wind hits the walls and roof which can be heard. Didn’t need them and enjoyed the ambiance- as if outside, but not. Slept like a baby without plugs. There when temp hit a low of 25 degrees at night. Heater provided sufficient heat. Didn’t need electric blanket they provided. They thought of everything to make it a very comfortable stay.

If you are looking for getting off the Grid, but like luxury and quality sleep, this stay is for you. I LOVED it. The bedding was top quality with eastwardly views so that the sunrise touched our faces. The bathroom was large and functional with a darling rug and Aesop products that smelled divine. The toilet flushes with power and efficiency, and they had probably the best close up mirror I've ever seen in that bathroom. The kitchen was my happy place. The coffee was organic and whole bean...they provide a very good grinder and frother and french press. The cups and dishes were thick ceramic and beautiful earthy colors. The refrigerator was deep as was the freezer and kept our food perfectly crisp and cold. The stove is gas which brought me joy too! Honestly the Camp Elena folks thought of everything. They know what their customers want. I also loved the fact that we had to take a dirt road to get there. It's not directly on the 170 which is refreshing. A hidden gem if you will. Definitely going back and hopefully with all of my sisters or children one day!!!

My wife and I stayed at Camp Elena in March, 2025. We had a fantastic time. The amenities were first class and super comfortable. Also, very cool to stay in a tent. We felt like the hosts anticipated all our needs. The views from the porch were awesome. We will definitely stay there again.
