"Last year, the company launched Camp Fimfo (sites from $125, cabins from $206), which has upscale cabins and RV sites, plus a water park, mini-golf course, and restaurants. After a successful first season in New Braunfels, Texas, the company will open a second location this summer in Waco, where travelers can stay in cylindrical cabins inspired by the city's iconic cottonseed silos." - Travel + Leisure Editors

We have been here 2 weeks and have had a great experience! Everything is clean and tidy. Last night we hit below freezing temps and had the water dripping. Which wasn't enough so our line froze. (Our fault) so we couldn't shower but went and used the bating facility and it turned out fine. The next Ronnie was at our door to help. He got under the cabin and started heating them up. Had us up and running with water withing 20 min! Very happy with the service and promptness!

We recently stayed for New Year’s Eve and New years. We have stayed at the Hill County version same time of the year two years ago. The kids loved the location but were very sad to find out the general store and pool were both closed the whole 4 days we were there. While we understand why, zero communication was given that these things were closed. That being said beautiful location. We had brought our own gel blasters and loved the utilized the course and it was a blast. The kids and I also loved the putt putt course very fun, (again if you come in the off season bring your own broom or blower to clean the greens. The coolest highlight was the wiffle ball field. We made friends with a few other families and got a game going. Oh almost forgot the pickle ball courts are great.

Very nice campsite! We stayed for a month and would stay again. We had a roomy rv site, nice amount of grassy space and if we stayed in the discounted extended long term spots, it would be even more spacious. Some issues were WiFi, it is so bad we couldn't watch YouTube on our phones. Even though it's advertised as being good for digital workers. We ended up buying starlink. Showers and bathrooms were clean but the water sprays at you when washing hands. Half the time the washer/dryers were broken. Good things are the quiet area, large open fields and playgrounds. Plenty of walking trails and friendly staff. No problem picking up packages at the front office! Staff picks up trash bags around 8-10am each morning. Neighbors are respectful and we are glad we stayed here! Would come back for sure

Currently staying at this park in the off-season. The grounds stay well manicured and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the tavern is good for what it is. There are plenty of activities for families included with your stay, as well as a few activities that cost a little extra. We haven't had the chance to try out the pool or water park, but I would expect it to be up to par with the rest of the park. I would definitely consider this a true RV resort. I will definitely stay at this park again if I ever find myself in Waco again.

Nice, but|Lots of terrific things about Camp Fimfo! Unfortunately for us they were followed by “but”.||Green grassy sites but the sprinklers will randomly soak your camper, site and camp fire at any time. Huge stocked pond but the water is so low only the hydrilla was biting. Beautiful tennis and pickleball courts but be ready for a hike thru tall grass since someone forgot to build an entrance. Swim up bar and restaurant have great reviews but not available during our offseason weekday stay. Lots of activities for kids from splash pad to kayaks to laser tag but again only for weekenders. Trees all over the property but most have died in the drought. Fun outdoor sports area with horseshoes, washers, billiards, etc. but another sprinkler victim during our visit. Huge play ground, volley ball, and jump pad but during our stay they were used by the families of the local flag football league. Quiet spot on the bend of the river but the community by sports complex is on the other side filling the sky with stadium lights and cheers but got a pretty cool picture.

We took the kids on a camping trip complete with tent camping spots which made it amazingly affordable! We love the amenities! Bath houses are clean and there are plenty of shower stalls. They even have family stalls which is great because I have a 2 year old and he couldn't run away! We didn't rent a cabin, but they look fabulous. They have plenty of activities to keep the entire family busy with fun! We love Camp FIMFO and are always looking for an opportunity to go back!

We had a pleasant time for our first visit. We stayed in an RV spot and were able to bike to the pool/bar/park/activities. There is a small restaurant next to a small convenience store. Bathrooms nearby the pool. They had live music in the evenings. They also had activities for the weekend. We were able to visit the Gaines Silos and there is bike trails near by for the mountain bikers. The only downside is that the trees are scarce and the shade is absent. So, I recommend a very good AC and alot of water!!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Camp Fimfo this summer! The cabins had plenty of sleeping options and were clean and in good shape. There were tons of things for the kids to do that were already included in the cost. The staff were helpful and courteous. Our kids loved the jumping pillow, pool, mini-golf, basketball, playground... and everything else! Renting a golf cart wasn't necessary, but definitely made going back and forth to multiple activities every day a lot more novel and easier. The onsite store and restaurant made it so we only left the grounds once to go get fishing bait. The location was super close to Waco and amenities, including downtown Waco and Magnolia (about 15 minutes away). We did have to book 3 nights during peak-season, which made it a little more expensive than some might enjoy paying for a camping resort. But overall we felt we got a decent deal for a family of five and all of the things that were included. We'd definitely stay again!
