Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge actually stretches 22 miles along the coastline down to Bulls Island, just South of the Myrtle Beach area. The tour group we had, Coastal Expeditions, was awesome not just with the tour, but in their other associated programs that they run and giving tons and tons of information about the ecology and history of the area. Great, beautiful area, definitely worth looking into a visit to Bulls Island and Boneyard Beach.

This photo was taken during the August 21,2017 solar eclipse. Cape Romain was the last U.S. point of the eclipse and lasted for 2:39. Awesome!

Not actually the a Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge! This is a private camp. You cannot drive down the dirt road behind the metal gate.
