Campamento Ñandú Hostel

We stayed for two nights. If Chile Chico had more to offer, I definitely would not hesitate to stay longer at this great hostel. The facility is great, the garden has a cute vibe and the host is super friendly and helps whenever he can. So if you stay in Chile Chico, stay here!

While I was stuck in Chile Chico waiting for motorcycle parts, I stayed at Ñandú. Juan was an amazing host and massively helped me translate and liase with the local mechanic. The hostel is a fantastic place to hang out with everything you need. Can’t recommend enough! 🙌

I stayed here 10 years ago when they first opened and the owners went so far out of their way to take care of me when I had troubles. Some of the kindest humans I've ever met.

If we could give a 6, we would. Spacious rooms, hot shower, comfortable bed and a well equipped kitchen. Most importantly: Juan is a cheerful and amazing host. He is always ready to help you with all your questions or issues. Thanks to his information we changed our travel plans and we are very happy we followed his advice. One of the best hostels we stayed in during our five weeks in Patagonia.

Super cool hostel in the middle of Chile Chico with a very cool backpacker vibe and a climbing wall in the garden. The showers are super clean and nice. The owner is super friendly and very accommodating. Unfortunately, we were only passing through and here for one night. Next time we will certainly stay longer! 😀

Beautiful hostel, great rooms and common areas. Can’t speak highly enough about Juan. So friendly and he went out of his way to help us with planning the logistics of our hike. He is so knowledgeable about the area and all the hikes. Definitely recommend staying here.

We found the hostel by luck, our stay was amazing. Hostel has a great chill-out area, the room was nice and clean and the owner was very kind. He let us use the facilities even after checkout while waiting for the ferry.

If you’re a hiker, backpacker, climber, or mountaineer, this is THE hostel in Chile Chico! Juan is an amazing resource for the area and has himself been instrumental in establishing many of the trails/routes. Amazing hospitality, great location, and a cool hang out area too.
