Such towers were very popular all over northern Italy during the medieval ages. They expressed the wealth of families who built it, but very few remained today. This tower is in the very center of Bergamo upper town, on the main Piazza Vecchia square. Entry ticket of 7 Euros includes climbing the top with an elevator, as well a small archaeological museum down. Views from up (there're two platforms) are stunning, with both upper and lower Bergamo, as well half Lombardy on a clear day

Probably the highlight of my day in Bergamo! I arrived 5 minutes before they opened the doors and I had the tower for myself for about 10 minutes. The view is truly spectacular! Tickets are only a couple of euros and you can also combine the campanone and the museum inside which was interesting but the view is what makes it so worth visiting!

Hearing the bell ring while soaking in those amazing views of Bergamo—that’s a cool moment!

The best vantage point in Bergamo! Highly recommended if you would like to get a really nice panoramatic view of Bergamo and it's surroundings. The tower itself has a lift built-in nowadays which takes almost to the very top. You then just need to climb a few steps to get to the bell floor for best possible sightseeing experience.

Stopped by the is town on the way from Milan to Garda. It were many things to do, to shop and good food around. Bought 12 Euro ticket/person to go in Campanone which this same ticket can be used to access another 4 museums nearby as well. The exhibition has been presented brilliantly, so we enjoyed everything here a lot. The only down side is that it all in Italian so we had to use translation application most of the time.

Easy access to the top of the tower via walk steps or elevator. Beautiful 360 degree views with helpful maps at the top and for every view indicating what you’re viewing in the distance. We bought a package for 15€ each that provided access to 6 sites/museums. Fantastic! Everything very close together. A beautiful city! We stayed in citta Alta which I recommend. Air bnb “Home in Bergamo” hosted by Manuela. Excellent!

🎫 Currently 7 euros but includes 3 parts to the visit. Stunning tower right in the main square, 52.76m high. You can walk up or take the elevator, handy! The views are wow 🔔 Then you can visit the remains of the Podesta Palace of the family, some ruins and then a lovely little museum on the history of Bergamo 'Museo Delle Stories di Bergamo". Lots of activities going on this year in general. Definitely worth it!
