Shelly H I believe the manager was super kind, courteous, helpful, and knows the menu well. The wait staff were attentive and courteous. The food was scrumptious and delicious. I suggest you get their Ruben Sandwich as it's in the top 5 best I've ever had and I've had many from many cities and states and multiple countries. Their Mozzarella sticks are excellent as well. If you're in the area and love good cooking stop in you won't be sorry.

Always so good…..fresh and plentiful. Tonight I had the walleye sandwich and it was the biggest piece of walleye I’ve ever had. It’s hard to find that fish around here and it was so delicious. My husband had the four piece chicken dinner for the first time and he said this is now his new go-to meal!

The last visit few years back wasn't very good. So we heard things have changed and now back to update. THE Reuben was delicious, the salad was fresh. Chicken fried steak with gravy was tasty. The price was around $15 a meal. The menu is limited. It does have a separated bar area. The country decor is pleasing and the restaurant is very clean This is a sit down full service restaurant and has carry out.

We celebrated a birthday there. He had a Reuben with fries and Ihad a Walleye sandwich with mashed potatoes. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was delicious and we finished with cherry cobbler a la mode. It was our first time there but we don't be the last.

Fantastic service! Our waiter, Dustin was excellent. This was our 1st time here and we will definitely be back. My chicken livers were crispy and they even cooked the onions right! The Mac needed some salt but I salt everything. 😁My husband had a burger and it was delicious as well! If you want some home cooked country food..... this is your place.

Juicy, perfectly cooked (medium) mushroom burger and crispy, golden fries. Tasty, nicely breaded country fried steak. Could have had a bit more gravy on the steak, and macaroni and cheese was average. Caitlin gave prompt and accurate service... which is much better than I'm accustomed to from a very young server. Atmosphere was quiet for a steady Sunday lunch in such an open setting, almost downright cozy. We'll definitely drive the 30-ish miles from Northern KY again for a meal this good!

It was our first time there and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everything is made in house My husband had the BLT, I had the mushroom burger and we also had cheese sticks.....the cheese sticks are out of this world! 😍

One of my new favorites. Sadly I only got one picture since I was already 3/4 of the way done inhaling it. I had potato skins, meatloaf, steamed broccoli, fries, and apple pie with ice cream. I also took a few (9) bites of my dads tenders and they were the best I ever had, so was the apple pie and meatloaf. Amazing service and great atmosphere. *I may or may not have already tore in before even one of the pictures* I'm so excited to go back :)

Delicious fried chicken! My husband and I both ordered the 4 Piece Dinner - breast, wing, leg and thigh. It also comes with two sides of choice and a roll. The fried chicken was delicious! We both thought it was prepared perfectly. The seasoning was flavorful, the skin slightly crispy and the chicken meat juicy. I chose the side salad and the jalapeño cheddar potatoes for my sides and my husband had the mashed potatoes and green beans. We both enjoyed the sides. My husband said the green beans were really good. I liked the jalapeño cheddar potatoes but found the bagged shredded cheese a bit unappealing. It didn't melt well, was greasy and then congealed while cooling. The potatoes with jalapeños were decent, though. It was a lot of food. We would probably split the chicken next time and order extra sides. The service was fine, the food was good and we'll return to check out more of menu.

Stopped in for lunch today. Server greeted us and told us to have a seat. She came over and got our drink order right away. We both ordered to chicken Philly sandwich, one with fries, one with onion rings. The food came out within 10 minutes. Everything was hot and as ordered. Onion rings were hand breaded but, a little greasy. Fries were crisp and not greasy. Sandwiches were good. Our server, Andi, was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Overall, a hearty lunch and good experience.

We had driven past this place for years and years but never knew what it was. I think here on Yelp, I finally figured it out. We've been a handful of times since. Think southern style cookin'. The regulars recommended the fried chicken - OMG. Best fried chicken I've ever had. Their grilled chicken salad is huge and an awesome bang for your buck. It's easily 2 meals. Next time I'm trying to fried fish.

We frequented campbells barn years ago. Loved it. Best fried chicken on the planet. Piping hot with juicy interior and a skin of perfection. Sadly, like everything else, this place has gone to the dogs. We visited again recently and were so disgusted with the quality of the food. I've had better gas station chicken. Everything out of a jar or can or a Sysco bag. Like a school cafeteria from the 1980s. And when I asked for butter instead of the poison seed oil whip they serve? Nope. They do not have butter. Wtaf. Beware any joint calling itself a restaurant that does not have real butter. What a complete and crying shame. Campbells Barn used to be fantastic. They should sell it and do something that brings them joy as cooking obviously no longer does. Rip Campbells Barn of 2010, you are missed.

First time here. Great homemade food. I couldn't imagine the wait if it was packed. They had a sign on the door to be patient. Only a few people in he restaurant since it was late afternoon. Prices were very reasonable. My son and i each ordered the 4 strip and 2 side meals. The specialty of the house is chicken. They also recommended the waleye sandwich and reuben. Cheese stick appertizer was amazing. They are either mozzarella or pepperjack. They are the fattest ones i have ever had. The waitress said they are a specialty as well. The restaurant is an old barn that used to be a party hall. Sweet tea was super sweet, very Southern. Great service. Lots of televisions with sports.

We recently hosted a large 100th birthday party at Campbell's Barn. For the very first meeting that we had with Tracy and Shelly, EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL!! Everyone at Campbell's were so helpful and friendly. They helped us plan everything and then made sure the party was a great success. A special shout out to our server Dustin who kept the drinks flowing and the buffet run seamlessly. And now about the food- it was amazing! Everyone LOVED the fried chicken and all the other yummy things on the buffet. Absolutely delicious- start to finish! The whole experience was exceptional- wonderful staff, wonderful food, wonderful memory

The server was very nice and quick. We got the house made cheese sticks which were very good. Prime rib salad was good as well. Inside was decorated cute.

Second time we have gone there and the dining room has the distinct smell of sewage. It is very obvious, must be from bathrooms but not sure why it has not been fixed.

The wait staff is way over stressed. Need at least twice as many servers. Beer was flat and waiter never checked on me to see. Could have seen for himself.

Ate here alone on Saturday for lunch. There were about 8 tables occupied. There were only 2 servers, a male and a female, and the male was doing almost all the work, but he was really hustling, so the service was good and attentive. I had the mushrooms with spicy ranch appetizer and the meat loaf dinner with jalapeno cheddar potatoes and green beans. Everything tasted great. I had strawberry shortcake for dessert--small portion, but good. This place was a 45 minute drive away, so I probably can't return soon, but anyone on the east side of Cincy would probably find it a rewarding experience.

A pleasant surprise right in the 'hood! A friend had recommended it but we just kept driving by; one day, after a hectic day at work, he said: how about The Barn for dinner? Why not? We both had the walleye; it was fried perfectly. Outstanding. The sides were delicious as well: salad was fresh and crisp, Mac and cheese was creamy, green beans spot on! Absolutely one of the best country pork chops I've had in a very long time. Cooked to perfection with baked potato and coleslaw. What another fantastic meal.

The service was just fine , however it was thanksgiving and they were hurting for help . So they let my food go with another person but i got his and had his number. Long story short we just traded and never thought about it once . Food is always good! And always plenty . I must say its a place to see, unique.

This restaurant could so much better than it is. Food is just mediocre. Food seems to be cooked from frozen. May draw more customers if they stepped it up a bit. More fresh ingredients and healthy options.

I have only been here once, but it was good food and a good atmosphere. They have a great menu and it's a good place to take the family or a date. If you like German food, you'll enjoy it!!

This is about the fourth try we have given this restaurant to improve the service. We try hard to support local independent businesses. While the waitstaff can't control how fast things come out of the kitchen, they can try and appease customers who are waiting on their food. It took over an hour for our food (burgers, sandwiches) to be delivered. I think we will move on to another local restaurant in the future. It is a great location, prices are fair, but the service is not worth the trip.

Best fried chicken around! May need to wait a bit since it's cooked fresh to order but it's well worth it. Have gone in during COVID and it is much better than many other restaurants. I felt very safe. I also got the carry out to feed a family one night and the chicken and sides were just as good as eating in! Highly recommend!

I got a carry out order. Blackberry cobbler was nothing special, but the cheese sticks with marina have to be the best in the ohio!!!! They were huge and delicious!!!!!!

Mozzarella sticks appetizer was outstanding - huge sticks cooked perfectly and really good sauce. Kids menu was really varied - 9 year old nephew picked Jake burger with Mac & cheese. He loved the Mac and cheese as did his 13 year old brother. The kids burger itself was bigger than expected - looked the size of a McDonalds Quarter pounder. Adults shared the Bacon Cheese burger and Chicken Tenders. The Tenders were great - not greasy or too much coating / very tender juicy meat. We enjoyed the 1/2 pound burger - nicely toasted bun and flavorful meat. The jalapeño cheddar potatoes and creamed corn sides were unique and delicious. If you are in the area (like we were for a baseball tourney) it is worth the stop.

This was our first time at Campbells. We were in town for a basketball tournament and wanted to try a local restaurant. We made a great choice with Campbells Barn and Saloon. Our waitress was Andie and she was wonderful. They were short staffed, but these waitresses managed to take care of their tables and give great service. The food was delicious and the free refills for our boys was a nice perk. Andie checked back with us on a few occasions and was pleasant to chat with. We could use a lot more Andie'a in the world. You don't see hard workers like her very often. Keep it up Andie!!!

We come here a lot, but I've never documented it via Yelp. We've been coming here for around 7 years, often on a weekly basis. The food is great, service is quick. My husband orders different things - burgers, chops, sandwiches. I tend to get the same thing because it's always so good: grilled chicken tenders, baked potato and some other side like salad, green beans, Mac and cheese. Their chicken is AMAZING and their Mac and Cheese is delish! Well, all their food is delicious. We always get Tonya as our server. She is friendly, prompt, fun and our daughter loves her!

Fried chicken was very good. Must try the jalapeño cheddar potatoes if you can only try one side-delicious. Plus it's great on the wallet- huge portions for the two sides and the fried chicken for $10. Great local place that may get overlooked but shouldn't!

Mediocre at best. Literally not a single thing was good or bad. It was just there. Nothing special, nothing horrible. Disappointing overall. Biggest complaint is the dang menus. It's so badly fricken designed that I had to comb over it just to find the headlines. Let alone any real descriptions of the food. "Two tenders" was listed twice on the menu, in two different spots for $3 difference. Granted one was with a roll and one with a side. Honestly the food is like if you go to your old country raised grandparents' house who live off social security and they have a lot of health issues so they don't put a lot of extravagance into their meals since there's not a whole lot of options for them to actually eat, and no one is a fancy cook, and your grandpa refuses to eat anything that could be construed as culturally different because he's a bit racist but you try not to mention it because he's stubborn and it's not worth the headache. It's like that except you have no obligation to like the food because this is a restaurant not your grandparents. You'd be better off going to your grandparents since your grandma will try to give you another pair of shoes that you don't need because she keeps buying shoes that she can't wear. Honestly should have just gone to my grandparents for dinner. At least then I could see my grandparents and would have called the night a success.

Pretty good first time eating here. Service was decent and we came on a friday. I didn't have any complaints with the food.. this is one of them places that you have to try for yourself instead of trusting reviews. Even had a nice 22oz Miller lite. Just what I needed on a Friday night.

This was one of the worst meals I've ever experienced. I can't believe it was rated so well. First of all, our server took forever to take our order and then our food sat under the lights for a solid 10 minutes before she noticed. I had the chicken breast and the hubby had the chicken sandwich. The fries and sweet potato fries might have been ok if they weren't cold. The chicken... oh the chicken! It was like trying to chew a dollar store rubber chicken. I literally couldn't cut into it and couldn't eat it. I tried different spots on the bird and it was inedible all around. The worst thing I've ever tried to eat. Stay away from this place!

Campbells Barn Restaurant is just that - a restaurant in a barn. It's a charming, well-lit space, so don't worry about any unsavory barn accoutrements here. As you might expect, they serve country homestyle fare. There's nothing very innovative about the menu, but it is excellently prepared from what seemed to be fresh ingredients. Fried chicken an creamed corn top my list here. Usually, I find "country restaurants" to be generic and underwhelming-- the lazy restauranteurs choice, if you will. But Campbells appears to have a passion for the food, and you can certainly taste it. Also, they have a nice, large space for hosting events, which they promote pretty clearly on the menu.

We love this place! Very cute & clean inside, excellent food, very nice staff...and lucky us... it's right up the street from our house!

Went here for the first time yesterday. It's a large place, in a barn. Gravel parking lot. Restaurant was clean. I was happy that we arrived during happy hour and I could get a draft beer cheaper than a soda! We started with fried pickles which were hot and crisp. I then ordered the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes. Huge mistake. The meatloaf itself, although it was a large portion, was more loaf than meat. It tasted very "bready." Easily among the worst meatloaf I have ever eaten at a restaurant. The potatoes appeared to be instant, and the portion was small. Potatoes cost next to nothing so serving a larger portion should be a no-brainer. The server was "average," not overly friendly or talkative. I will likely give this place at least one more try, but it will not involve meatloaf!

Food was outstanding!!! I had the tortilla taco bowl and my husband had the breaded pork chops! Both meals were great!!! We'll be back for sure!! We also had their fresh homemade desserts...apple pie and blackberry cobbler......they are to die for!!

This little restaurant should stick to weddings and party's and leave the cooking to the real restaurants. My and family and I recently went and I got the country fried steak. We did a carry out, the food was as warm as to be expected for a carry out. My country steak however was disgusting, it was chewy, the breading was not edible and the gravy.. i almost threw it up it was so gross. it was very thick and had a bitter flour taste. I ended up throwing my entire meal away. I did get cheese sticks as well and although I normally enjoy them this time the breading had no flavor either. My husband got the chicken quesadilla he loved it and I tasted it, it was the best thing we got but it easily tasted like something you could do at home not really quality. They are a little higher priced for the food they sure. Servings use to be larger as well.

Terrible service. We came in after a funeral just after the opened. I would have expected better service with hardly anyone in the restaurant. We will not return and would not recommend.

At the campgrounds for the weekend and took the dogs to the main beach. Wanted a sweet treat for later, so we stopped in and ordered a piece of cheese cake and apple pie to take back to the camp site. Hope I can wait till later.

Possibly the best restaurant bar in the Cincinnati area! Can't wait to come back. Straight forward and flavorful fun food at a good price, always hits the spot with a big and iced drink. Service is quick and throughout, helpful as well! I got lost on the way out and it took hours and hours to get out there but the bar tender gave me a quick route home and I made it back in 40 minutes! So friendly and nice and fun. Great biscuits and burgers and fries and pies and cakes and mashed potatoes and smashed cauliflower and garlic sweated meat loaf and tasty beans and fried pickle poppers. I will be back soon!!!!! Great big oak tree I think? Growing through the kitchen very nice and welcoming.

This place has the best chicken strips ever!!!! Hand breaded nice size! I have fallen in love with this place. Large or small size tables, tv's all over the room. Service has always been great!

Ordered the Barn Burger and asked for no onions or tomatoes on it, add mayo. I was expecting a burger with at least cheese and lettuce. NOPE. I got a complete DRY BURGER!! How do you forget cheese AND lettuce??? AND YOU FORGOT MY MAYO! Also your fries taste frozen and soggy.

Campbell's Barn Restaurant has a great atmosphere friendly people and I love their burgers most of the times I get the southwestern with jalapenos and I love the hot wings as well.

Prices are great and the food is wonderful! The fried chicken is great, loved the fried pickles. Their salads are fresh and they offer a spicy ranch dressing. Great service as well.

I have been going to the barn for many years, the meals there have been very consistent and well worth the money. There are two areas in which to dine one in the saloon and the other in the large dining room, both are well tended to by the servers and of course if you enjoy an ice cold draft beer you're in the right place .... I recommend you give it a try

took the wife and kids for lunch, we had chicken, a burger and the kids had chicken fingers and fries Nothing was terrible, but on the same token nothing was particularly good either. Service was slow and the food isn't worth going back for. Hope they make some changes.

Very country atmosphere, super clean too. Love down home country cooking and reasonable pricing was nice. I think I'll dine there again. :)

...wonderfully glad I gravitated to this barn. Food was great, mashed potatoes white gravy came highly recommended. The farm flavor finished with a pepper scent. Trust in the quality served. Very friendly in the counter area bar and buy some peanuts ;)

Chicken is one of a kind and hamburgers are expertly seasoned however my fav. Is the salad with ranch dressing the best ever
