We had a great stay. The property is very unique. Lots of outdoor seating areas and music piped throughout the complex. It was a fun vibe. Our room was right next to the fire pit so it was interesting to feel like there was a party outside until quiet hours at 10pm, but it wasn't disruptive, just different. And everyone respected the 10pm quiet down. Our room was comfortable and clean, the walls are thin but again, after 10, everyone was quiet so it wasn't a problem. We would stay again if traveling this way in the future.

This is not an hotel, it is an adventure! The campfire is magnificent, the room is very spacious and comfortable and very original in design and furniture, good airconditioning, great solution for delicious coffee in the room, friendly and most efficient staff, just a perfect place to stay. Close to where it all happens in bend, and a grocery store across the road. Good price/quality!

This place was rad. Short driving distance to anything, from old downtown, to breweries, to old mill shopping and all the trails. It also has a pool party with Dj on Sundays 3-7pm which was dope. Looked at many other modern style hotels, but the “vibe” is here if you’re an adult that likes to stay and play. The other hotels were just plain boring. .

We had a one night stay at the Campfire Hotel and enjoyed every minute except for our noisy neighbors but the hotel was kind enough to provide us with free ear plugs. Great atmosphere, tons of extras, amenities you don’t find elsewhere and friendly staff. Alice at the front desk was especially nice and accommodating and frankly fierce when confronting some very noisy neighbors. We’ll be back!

Positive: The ambience of the rooms, making you feel like you were on a camping excursion. The majority in the room was fun. My husband plays guitar and tunes the banjo the best he could, and played it for awhile. Negative: The bed was too soft.

Overall, our stay the Campfire Hotel was great. The service was amazing! The rooms were incredibly clean with nice amenities in it (mostly for purchase). The walls were a little thin, but that wasn't as issue aside from Saturday night. The firepit, pool, and canteen promoted a lot of community - folks often socializing over drinks. Location is also great. Easy walk to downtown Old Bend. Plenty of parking. And in the winter, they're a 3 minute walk to the bus stop that has a shuttle up to Mt. Bachelor. Would come back!

Initial impressions were positive. There’s definitely a theme that the owners are going with. Overall a decent place, but it seems as though comfort and convenience is sometimes sacrificed for the theme with a lack of attention to detail and customer service. 1. Front desk staff on check in seemed preoccupied. Other than running my payment card and giving me keys, they told me nothing about the property other than the parking situation. 2. Parking is “1st come 1st serve”. When we returned later in the evening, all parking was full so we parked around the corner on the street. A fair bit of the main parking lot has been converted for outdoor seating areas and food truck use. I didn’t mind parking on the street, but guests that are more paranoid about their cars should be aware. 3. The camping theme extends to the rooms. Our room had retro folding camp chairs instead of traditional chairs. While they fit with the theme, they aren’t comfortable to sit in. 4. Our room slept 4, but there were only enough towel linens for 3. There was only enough in-room coffee service for 2 people. This is Oregon, please provide more in-room coffee. 5. There was no information packet in the room describing hotel services, etc. The place seemed to have decent amenities but a little more information about it would be helpful, either at the front desk on check in or in the room. 6. Large cobwebs above the sink mirror lights. The room was otherwise clean, but this was a glaring oversight. 7. When we made the reservation, we had requested the additional Craft Beer service. It wasn’t provided upon arrival. I wasn’t disappointed but upon checkout I did mention it so that I wouldn’t be charged for it. I was assured that it would be removed from my bill. Despite this, I was charged for it. A refund was eventually issued after several emails. 8. Speaking of billing, apparently there is an “amenities fee” that gets added on. We didn’t use the pool, fire pit, or other common spaces so that’s a bit annoying. Considering how expensive the room was for our one night stay ($364 total for 1 night in the Summer season), the separate charges seem poorly thought out. Either include them in your rate structure or be more transparent and up front about extra fees. 9. Here’s some positive highlights: Convenient location. Next door to Fire On The Mountain. Pool area and other common spaces are appealing and tie in well to the camping theme. Breakfast burrito food cart onsite, can’t go wrong with that. Despite the billing error, the morning front desk staff person was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is apparently very dog friendly. I hope that the owners and management take some small steps to continue to improve the property and guest experience.

First of all this is not a paid review and my experience was last night. If you want a great place to smoke This is it. Smoke anything outside a room all night and party. Make all kinds of noise. If you like Astro turf this is your place. To potty your dogs, just leave the premises as there is no grass or other areas on premises. To visit bend, just drive a few miles. There are homeless on the street in tents to visit with. The restaurant is mostly outside sitting so you can smoke. The sheets are clean. The bed and bathroom clean. At $380 a night for a motel six with kitchy bark finishing not so great. The camp fires are lit in one spot, every other lit spot was hand held. After traveling all day and viewing the great marketing... We had hoped for sitting outside near downtown with our dogs, visiting others and enjoying and quiet spot. We got chairs outside covered with bird poop, smokers, strip mall, homeless, Astro turf, noise, no sleep and high prices.

Yelp
My friends and I stayed at Campfire Hotel in Bend during part of our Oregon road trip. The pros: -Gigantic fire pit outside to get a camping-like feel -Outdoor hot tub and swimming pool -Social opportunities (there was a karaoke night) The cons: -Parking could be hard to find, so you might need to park on the street -Located near a homeless area with a lot of drug users. They didn't bother us, however, we made sure we stuck together as a group when we were out at night and tried to avoid the area they were in. We also made sure we removed all valuables from the car Overall verdict: For an affordable place to stay in Bend, Campfire Hotel fit our needs and we had a good experience.

Yelp
I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could, it wasn't bad, but I probably wouldn't stay there again. Pros: Everything was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool and hot tub were awesome, the fire pit was a nice touch; we enjoyed meeting people there each night. The decor was fun. It has a party vibe, but they enforced the quiet hours really well, which was nice. (We were also there during the week, I can imagine it gets rowdier and louder on weekends when they have a DJ at the pool.) It's a queer-owned business and they seem to do a lot to support the local queer community. Cons: It's a motel, so all the rooms have doors that face outside, which means it's louder--you hear people walking by, cars and motorcycles in the parking lot, and the din of traffic. The conversion they did of this old, formerly run-down motel was good, but the walls are thin, and I was kept awake one night by the people in the room above us, not because they were partying, but just because they were awake until 2am and moving around and every footstep sounded like a bowling alley. The rooms are also really small--no closet or dresser, just some hooks an a few hangers. I also didn't find the bed to be very comfortable. The Canteen Bar is fun, but everything is overpriced ($13 for a small, pre-made frozen cocktail.) There were some good parts, but we didn't sleep super well, and it didn't feel worth if for the price, unfortunately.

Yelp
Stayed for a weekday night and the service was nice, room was comfortable, and location is walkable to downtown. Didn't get to enjoy the pool or hot tub but looked very inviting. Their little bar is nice with well done cocktails. Only issue was there appeared to mold starting on the ceiling of the bathroom shower that was coming back or had once been painted over so wish there was better quality control to address these items before putting guests in the rooms.

Yelp
Very cute hotel, thoroughly enjoyed my stay. They had a fire pit along with a heated pool along with jacuzzi, though everything is shut down at 10, which is a buzz kill. They also had a bar if you want to grab a drink along with snacks in lobby like trail mix and apples. I enjoyed it and it served its purpose, rooms were a tad outdated but it had personality and I liked this hotel and have no regrets of picking my stay here. Things to do: check out Blockbuster, nostalgic feeling going in there, Crux fermentation and Smith Rock State Park, beautiful hike.

Yelp
I would like to take a moment to acknowledge Stacie's exceptional performance during a challenging guest situation at the pool and hot tub area. We (a group of 7 different guests of the property) had an unnecessary negative interaction with another guest who was behaving aggressively and disruptively, causing discomfort for everyone. Despite having to be requested three times, Stacie handled the situation with remarkable professionalism and kindness. This person antagonized everyone in the hot tub, based on where she perceived we were from, which was incorrect on many accounts. The guest swore at us and actively neglected her children that were in the pool behind her. It was a very uncomfortable situation to be around. Stacie handled it like a pro, her ability to navigate such a difficult scenario effortlessly is truly commendable. Her calm demeanor and quick thinking ensured that the disruption was minimized, allowing other guests to enjoy their experience. I am grateful for Stacie's dedication to providing excellent customer service. Her handling of this challenging guest situation exemplifies her commitment to creating a positive and enjoyable environment for all. She is a valuable asset to the Campfire Hotel team, and I highly commend her for her exceptional skills and outstanding customer service. Thank you, Stacie, for your unwavering professionalism and kindness in dealing with this difficult situation. Your efforts are genuinely appreciated.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are incredibly spacious and decorated in a modern rustic aesthetic. My room was clean, with the exception that the comforter was a little dirty (see picture). I think this is a renovated motel, so it still has thin walls and noise from the people above, but they supply earplugs (which I didn't need), and it was very quiet during quiet hours after 10. They seem to be good about enforcing this. Other reviews say this is a loud party hotel, but I did not find this to be the case. I went in April, so maybe not the high season, but the pool/hot tub was busy, and people were drinking, but everyone was friendly and respectful. The best amenity is the hot tub and the hot pool! The huge fire pit is also a great place to relax. They all get shut down at 10. I personally would like it if they were open until 11. They have good coffee in the lobby. My biggest complaint is that there is not much parking, it really fills up at night.

Yelp
The theming and decor were great. It's a motel that they made look very cute. The front desk people were very nice and helpful. They had a heated pool, a fire pit and bikes for guests to use. Great amenities. The bed was a little soft. The room was a bit warm even with the air on. The walk to downtown Bend was just 10 minutes, but a little dicey at night. All in all well themed and a great value

Yelp
Look, I don't give hotels five stars, ever, but the campfire was a really nice spot. No, like really awesome. Very welcoming, great staff, clean and bright rooms, a really cool atmosphere that has "the Bend vibe" written all over it. There were single speed loaner bikes, the pool and hot tub were in great shape, the fire pit area was really nice, full-service bar with a second smaller fire pit overlooking the pool, so that adults can enjoy adult beverages, while watching the children lose their minds splashing and having a blast. I had a conversation with the grounds staff while walking the dog and they really seem to care both about the upkeep and maintenance of the place and that people were having a good time. Was there over a holiday weekend and even during a slammed holiday weekend the staff was still super concerned about everyone that was staying there and having the best time. That says a lot. The bed was comfortable, sheets were crisp, yet soft, the decor in the rooms is what I would describe as modern mixed with classical Mountaineer/chalet vibe. The color schemes were great. They had snacks and drinks in the room that didn't have the cheesy Vegas mini bar thing going on. The hotel is dog friendly!! How many hotels are dog friendly?! This place was a nice little urban oasis for us while spending just a little bit of time in Bend. I would recommend to anybody going and staying in the city.

Yelp
Super dog friendly place. Loved the ambiance and room decor. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the pool amenities. I wish the bar served breakfast as well and they had handicap spots for parking in front of all the different buildings.

Yelp
We stayed here for 4 days and our room was lackluster, like a motel 6 or travel lodge with hipster wallpaper and old fashioned light bulbs. 80s style ac, 80s style mini-fridge and the microwave had a timer dial you turn, and the carpet was gross. The bathroom was tiny, sad, and musty; no fan/vent for the shower. The door needs to shoved open and it doesn't lock. They don't do maid service so we had to ask when our room didn't have soap or tp. Also make sure to call them at 7am if you want late checkout. The pool was good.

Yelp
If you're going for a themed experience as a hotel, fully commit the way Campfire Hotel does. I arrived late one night after working an event. The parking lot is difficult to navigate, especially on dark rainy nights, but once I found a spot, the lobby was easy to locate for check-in. That process was quick and smooth, and I love the cute lobby area overall. Very inviting. My room was cozy and spacious. Everything from the bed to the counter of snacks and the rotary phone was Instagrammable. I wish I could have spent more time chilling and watching Netflix or Hulu for free, but I had an early scheduled departure from the airport. Didn't get to experience breakfast (front desk staff told me the burritos are great) or the pool. Bend isn't a city I'm dying to come back to, but this has certainly become one of my favorite hotel experiences. I don't really camp, nor have I been through many camp programs. Nevertheless, the low key hospitality and hipster amenities inspire me to explore more of the outdoors and maybe even hang out with new friends around the bonfire.

Yelp
Cool vibe, friendly staff for the most part. Go in with the expectation that this is more of a "party" hotel. You will not get a peaceful quiet nights sleep. We originally booked a room and told they upgraded us to one of their suites (room 229). I didn't realize this room was directly above the bar, and I didn't know that they were having a karaoke night well past 10pm. I was not stoked to say the least. This is all well and good if you go in with those expectations. Enjoy the heated pool, hot tub, bar, and fire pits and loud night life. It's perfect for that if that's what you are going for. If you are wanting to get sleep and need to wake up early, pick a different hotel or pick a room way towards the back no where near the bar or pool area.

Yelp
this place is just a motel six updated by hipsters . $250 a night not worth it at all the rooms are terrible , the atmosphere is pretty nice, but I've stayed at the Grand America in SLC for the same price and the grand America is a Billion dollar world class hotel
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome staff and a great location! The 100° pool was so comfortable that we didn't even need a Jacuzzi. Short drive to Mount Bachelor and lots of restaurants including their own in the area. I love this hotel, I will definitely return

Yelp
This place was exactly what we were looking for. Just trying to get away from the big city for a couple days we booked a room here for a few days during the week. The room itself was nice and clean and full of local treats. It did have some snacks and beverages that you had to pay for but were very fairly priced compared to most hotels I've been in. We were here on week days so the pool was never too crowded and always hot. Seems like a great comfortable spot for the community as you can pay a fee to come to the pool if you're not a guest at the hotel. The bar area was a bit small, but the cocktails were great, beer selection was solid and the food items we tried were good. Overall nice little getaway looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Yelp
This place is kitschy, but overall a fun and affordable stay. If you're looking for quiet before 10pm, this is not the place for you. They have music playing outdoors and there's lots of people out in the common areas in the evening. There's a huge fire to sit around and plenty of chairs outdoors. We also checked out the pool area - lots more people chilling and hanging out. They do have additional property across the street from the main lobby/pool/campfire side so if you're looking for more quiet, maybe request a room over there. We weren't expecting anything fancy, but it's definitely a motel contrary to the name. The room smelled damp and of chlorine when we checked in. I really enjoyed how the room was decorated and the lights around the property. AM Coffee in the lobby was great - they also supplied to go cups. We only stayed for a night, but took advantage of their free bike rentals in the morning before we had to check out. We brought our bikes in the backseat of our rental and were able to bike around the Old Mill District for about an hour. Definitely a bonus of our stay! Parking lot is pretty tight and fills up quickly, but there is street parking on the street in between the two lots as well.

Yelp
We decided to give this place a shot on our Bend Trip. Great location and easily walkable to the store and Downtown. Front desk attendants were friendly. Online check in and the mobile keys were a little challenging for me, thankful for the help and check in and normal room keys. I have a TBI so not surprised the mobile check in and room key was difficult for me. They helped me so no worries. Motel was adorable. Room was comfortable. Location for us was great and one of our favorite Mexican spots is close as well as where our dinner was at off Wall Street. We knew this was a motel and assumed the vibe and style and did not expect something fancy, we expected a cute place with adorable decorations and a good vibe kinda place. It was great and met our expectations. We will definitely stay again next time we need a Bend place to sat close to downtown.

Yelp
This place is ADORABLE. I don't often wish I had more time to spend in a hotel, but at Campfire Hotel, I do. We booked a last minute deal online so we could have somewhere to stay before we left at the crack of dawn to head to Crater Lake National Park. I found out later that they have little packages for couples and for stargazers..kinda wish I would have seen that before I booked, but oh well! I would say the place has a vibe that I would expect to attract 20-somethings who are big on adventuring and meeting new people. The hotel has a camping theme which is incredibly evident from the moment you walk in the lobby. There is a gift shop with all sorts of things: apparel, stickers, snacks, etc. There is also a little bar area, pool, and huge fire pits that we didn't have time to check out. They also have live music and free bike rentals. The beds were comfortable and there were robes, beach towels, and chairs for lounging by the pool. Our room also had a nice little basket of treats (if you wish to buy them) and a stocked fridge. We had no issues with the temperature, shower, etc. Hoping to come back sometime if we are in the area again, thanks!

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Camp Fire Hotel in Bend, Oregon . It has incredible vibes with a fantastic pool, DJs, and a huge fire pit. The themed rooms and the nighttime lighting was amazing.

Yelp
This is such a fun hotel in Bend. They have all sorts of swags for sale up front. A fun bar with some pretty good food to boot. There's a huge fire pit, a spa and pool area and all their rooms are camping outdoor theme, some even includes musical instruments for you to play at the fire. Also, in additon, this is one of the most pet friendly hotel you'll ever stay at. Your doggy companion will always get a swag bag for their stay here.

Yelp
This place was fine. Older but fully remodeled. Was able meet some nice people by the campfire. Wish the bar had been open.

Kala R.

Yelp
I would not recommend staying here. Besides the pool the hotel is pretty rundown. If you are on the first floor you can hear everything from upstairs. There was a guy smoking in front of our room every day. The bathrooms are awful, tiny. Housekeeping on request. We stayed for 4 night and 5 day. Requested once during our trip and they said they need to check if the room can be cleaned. Overall will never stay here again!

Yelp
We had a quick one night stay in Bend and two people highly suggested Campfire. We were so glad we went with this place. We arrived around 5 PM and they worked with us to get two rooms for the night. The staff was friendly and extremely personable. They gave us food recommendations that were really helpful too being from out of town. Onto the rooms! Super retro with an Oregon cabin vibe. From the old school phone, alarm clock, the bison shower curtain, even lawn chairs, it had such a fun vibe. Not to mention a pour over coffee pot with coffee from a local coffee shop. Awesome! On a personal note, Hotel pillows are almost always a negative for me, but these felt great on my neck and I had a great nights sleep. Onto the pool! They call this place a hotel and 'Pool Club' and it fit the bill. The pool was 90 degrees and the hot tub was 103. The pool had a bunch of people just chillin' and hanging out which I thought was cool. There were quite a few people with some "funny smelling cigarettes" (lol) but it didn't bother us. Pretty normal these days. The pool was pretty much a giant hot tub and we had a great time just kickin' it and talking sports for an hour or so. Overall, we really enjoyed our quick but fun stay at Campfire. If you're not looking for your traditional hotel, I say go for it.

Yelp
What a clever concept! I love how they transformed what used to be an old motel into a super cute, inviting place with a rustic kitsch feel. The actual campfire is nice to relax by in the evening. My husband enjoyed the swimming pool while I walked our dog around and enjoyed the nighttime ambience. I wish we could have been in town for one of their Thursday night campfire concerts but we had to leave a day early due to an incoming storm that we wanted to avoid. We were put in an upstairs room across the side street, which was nice because it was quiet. If you want more action, it's better to stay in the rooms close to the pool and campfire. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I loved that they are very dog-friendly and their camping decor, including that the extra "blanket" at the foot of the bed was actually sleeping bag material. The person that checked us in was very friendly and had great advice re dog-friendly activities/restaurants in town. There was also complimentary good coffee available each morning in the lobby. What wasn't so great is the somewhat seedy area we had to cross when we would walk to the downtown area. There is also a homeless camp behind the motel, which could make some people nervous.
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
stinky room should rename "employee housing hotel" or "homeless camp hotel" this is one of several hotels in this area thst combine monthly renters with nightly.
google avatar

Kelli M.

Yelp
What a great place to find a piece of nature in the middle of nature! Complete with nature themed rooms but lots and lots of hot water and clean towels. The hotel is split in two - the main lobby is near the pool and a great little pub. Lots of beer and ciders on hand near check in and in your room! We were on the opposite of the street where it was quiet and had a tiny version of the fire pit with comfy chairs and tables. We could see the main fire pit across the street with an epic fire. Quiet fun place - caring staff and the best experience!

Heffy J.

Yelp
The hotel is cute, the employees are nice. I like the concept of the place, it is lgbtq friendly. The rooms are clean enough, although dated and kind of depressing, Brown walls, floors and curtains. The walls are paper thin, and in fact there are "complimentary earplugs" on the nightstands with a note saying there can be a lot of ambient noise, so earplugs are provided to "ensure your comfort"...... Dogs are allowed throughout the hotel and barking is a -ok as long as the owner is with the dog. Smoking is allowed outdoors as well, in fact there is a barking dog with a cigar smoking man just outside our door. Terrific. Parking is cramped and tight. The icing on the cake is the homeless encampment behind the hotel. 2 to 3 dozen homeless people at least. We did not feel safe or comfortable walking around except up on the main Street. This is the second time I've stayed here but probably not again.

Yelp
Cute and campy. And I mean that literally and endearingly! We made a last minute stop through Bend on our way from Portland back home. Booked a last minute deal online. I wanted something fun and local-feeling but value priced. Campfire wasn't the cheapest but looked interesting for the money. Their website made it easy to book, too. Arrived late for check in, but staff helped us get situated despite the hour. The parking lot and pool area were adorned with adorable orange string lights giving the place a warm and welcoming vibe. This place is a thoughtfully renovated older motel, with many super cute touches of astroturf, faux logs, and park-like hangout spaces. Campfire carries its theme in every piece of decor and merch in the office and throughout its rooms. Excellent snacks and merch to purchase if you're feeling inclined. We loved the theme and bought a mug. Downsides would be the unpredictable temperature adjustment / not maintaining a constant temp in room 248, and maybe the window ac unit being a little slow, but that was all forgivable. I recommended it to another friend who is coming through Bend in a few weeks. We will probably be back!

Yelp
My wife Lillian and made last minute reservations at Campfire and absolutely love this place , the minute you walk into the front office you are greeted by the nicest people with big smiles , the entire property was renovated in 2020 in a camping theme and the did not miss any details from the black and white pictured wallpaper to the musical instruments hanging in each room to the nightly campfire for all the guests to gather around . The staff is amazing and super accommodating I would give it all the stars in the sky !

Yelp
My family and I recently stayed here and it was an overall enjoyable experience. This hotel seems geared toward young adults aged 21-35, which is totally fine. The pool is small and was SUPER packed. So packed that I elected to just sit near the pool while my family swam. The place has a nice young adult vibe, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to those with familes with small children. It was quite loud until 10pm and even after, there was a higher than normal amount of hotel noise late into the night hours. They provided ear plugs, which was a nice touch, but inadequate. I wish I could give 3.75 stars.

Yelp
I had a hard time deciding on 3 or 4 stars...and I think it's closer to 3 stars but for a hotel room that we paid $110 a night for...can I really complain THAT much? At the price point, it served as intended. The overall concept is cool. Location is fine - we knew it wasn't terribly close to the cool parts of town when we booked it. But, we still were able to walk into downtown Bend without issue. Brisk, but doable. Parking lot is a cluster, and there aren't really that much spots but it's permit parking only. We got there relatively early so we were lucky enough to find a spot by our unit. Canteen bar is great, the bartender who worked there was hilarious and friendly. It was so cozy everywhere. We didn't get a chance to go in the pool or hot tub and we were bummed, but I think it's awesome it's actually open in the winter. The community areas are cool because they light up the gas fireplaces each night so we were able to sit around that and meet some new people. The room though...left something to be desired. It's clear it used to be a Best Western. I don't even know for sure that they took the wallpaper off from the last hotel that was there. We were in a dark, dingy corner. The room was appointed just fine with a bed, TV, toiletries etc. The walls though...ohhh the walls. Paper thin. We didn't hear a peep from the people behind us...but this couple was screaming at each other all night...at one point he even woke her up after going through her phone and asking her why she lied, etc. Yes, we heard it all. It was like a Jerry Springer episode. I would tell you about the bed if it weren't for the fact that I laid awake all night wishing the people would stop. BUT....they provide you with earplugs because they're not even shy about the fact that it's loud lol! Honestly this place would've been cooler I think if it were in my 20's, but I'm too old for this crap.

Yelp
DOG FRIENDLY. Like spending the night in an Rei . Relatively SAFE AREA. CONVENIENT (near gas station, grocery store, downtown bend) My rating is based on hotels in this category. Boutique. This isn't the ritz Carleton, nor is it a Sheraton. I'd say it's like holiday inn or best western and close to being like the kimpton hotel but with a camp style theme. (Definitely far from being a red inn or motel 6. Guests here are travelers mostly young crowd but did see some older, and not local junkies ) The decor is really cool. The vibes are very nice. There is a pool. There are cocktails. There are young people. It feels very social. There are good photo opportunities. If you need a quiet place to stay this is NOT the place. Guests are socializing at the pool and at the fire pit. It is noisy at 10pm. If you are a light sleeper please skip this place. Or use earbuds. Parking was not bad during the weekday. FYI mon and Tuesday's the canteen is closed but looking forward to trying it. If you are high maintenance just leave this place alone. You're not going to get top notch room service. And you will be unhappy. If you're a cheap person who likes to get a good deal and then expect the Ritz and is surprised when it's not, drive away. Now if you want a bend experience this place is awesome! This is a unique gem. It is close to many of the hiking trails. Less than half a mile from Crux fermentation project. There is a Safeway across the street to get snacks. Room is standard has big king size bed, pretty clean, microwave, fridge that's is stocked with beer, small table with chairs, wifi. Bed mattress was not very comfortable for me, it was very firm. Like 7/10 firm. But if you like firm mattresses then you'll be fine. Pillows were very soft, 1/10 in firmness. so if you like firm pillow bring your own. Shower pressure was excellent. My concern before staying here was that I saw a review about homeless around the area. I did not see any, nor did I feel unsafe. This area is very safe. I would stay here as a woman alone, parking lot also feels very safe. 10/10 would stay again and again. Especially since price point is a good deal. I never do hotel reviews and here I am hoping to give some insight. Being a dog owner it's difficult to find a hotel at this caliper in terms of niceness. So it was nice to have the dogs in a nicer hotel.

Yelp
Pros - Friendly amazing staff, spacious rooms, and unique amenities like a great fire pit and lobby bar. The pool is heated and perfect for Bend's chilly nights. Cons - Noisy as fellow guests move the bonfire party back to rooms. More than a fair share of innocuous bugs (2 spiders and a few beetles in my room). (Kind of adds to the camping ambiance so may be a pro) Will I stay here next time I'm up? Yes, would I have my mother and nieces? Maybe.

Yelp
Clean rooms and convenient location. We were traveling from CA to ID and this was our overnight stop.

Yelp
Amazing! We had our wedding party stay there in December and they were so hospitable and the accommodations were fantastic. Wish the fire pit could stay on later ;). Thank you for a fantastic time and look forward to coming back :)

Yelp
What a disappointment. Not the accommodations that I has expected. Our room was like a hole, under the second floor, forgotten and out of sight. No guitar in our room. Hooks and stowage for your gear?? Yeah, if you have a hat. Pet friendly? Dog bowl with mold and cigarette butt. You must purchase items in the lobby, for your dog. Smallish pool. Bar is closed. Surprise refundable fee for dogs. Oh, free coffee. For two nights, I payed nearly $900. And I had to get angry about refreshing my room. The "nerve" of me. No. No, I will not go back. My friends and family are laughing at me. Seriously.

Yelp
We LOVED this hotel! The decor is adorable, and each room is unique. Hotel staff were super friendly and welcoming. The giant fire pit and s'mores are a must! Bought the candle! We will definitely back, thank you for a wonderful experience!

Yelp
This was such a fun and comfortable stay. I look forward to driving through Bend again, just so I can stay here.

Yelp
Best night's sleep ever. Woke, took the best shower ever - water pressure is perfect. Highly recommend if in the area. Excellent time.

Yelp
Cool hotel, pool and decor are nice. most of the staff is really friendly, one was a little crotchety. The walls are extremely thin, so keep that in mind if you want quiet. Front desk swapped rooms for me when mine was loud (Thank You!!!). Watch out for all the erroneous snack charges. I was charged for 8 items, however, I didn't use a single one. I received serious resistance when trying to dispute the charges. Have them do a walk through before you leave.

Yelp
This hotel is fun and has great outdoor space. If you want to play in the pool or hang around the fire or party this is the place for you. If you are traveling and just stopping to get some sleep this is not the place. We got a room on the "quiet side" and it was not. The folks next to us came in late and partied until we left at 5:30 in the morning. People were coming and going all night long. Party - Yes. Sleep - No.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about Campfire. So basically it was the cutest little place in Bend. There is a really fun vibe where you can party at the pool, and meet other people around the community campfire. They are dog friendly and the rooms were super comfortable and cute. My issues were this: it's in a pretty sketchy part of town, and I really didn't feel comfortable walking anywhere outside of the hotel grounds. Not to mention I didn't feel comfortable parking anywhere near that area. That's not the fault of the hotel though. There was also a power outage in the middle of the night while we were there, but no one mentioned it to us or gave us a heads up as to when it would be back on, so we just left first thing in the morning in the dark. I went into the lobby/gift shop to see if they sold the cute blankets that are in every room. They had a large gift shop area with all kinds of things to buy. When I asked about the blanket, the girl at the front desk looked at me like I was crazy. I had to explain to her a few times what I wanted and she just shook her head at me with a wide eye stare like I was asking her about aliens. Other than that though, comfy beds, cute decor, and a fun community environment concept.

Yelp
This roadside motel turned fun, charming boutique motel is so cute! Huge bonfire and steamy heated pool, cute rooms, and an awesome juice bar with the friendliest gentleman and the most incredible chocolate avocado mousse. I love this place!

Yelp
Stayed for one night and really enjoyed my time here. The overall vibe of the place is boutique motel. The remodel is pretty cool furniture and visually pleasing. Super clean which was awesome after a horrible stay in Redding the night before. The draw is the pool area and firepit. Which I'll admit was really nice to sit and chat with people after the isolating feeling of covid quarantine. The firepit only runs until 10pm, which I get because of noise complaints but is sad when in the summer sun sets around 830pm. During covid you have to sign up to use the pool and spa which is kinda awesome because you have it to yourself. But you have to sign up early if you want night spa time. Free coffee in the lobby from a local roaster tasted great. And they have a small gift shop and cantina for drinks. Definitely would reccomend this place if you have a dog as its doggy friendly. Only downside I feel is that the walls are thin and you can hear a lot of the pipes when people use the shower or restroom. Also the location is not the greatest but not terrible. I definitely would recommend and stay again. Thank you Campfire Hotel for making our stay in Bend fantastic!

Yelp
Its an interesting place, the rooms are comfortable and the outdoor seating is nice. My only two concerns are the level of evening noise coming from the bar and pool area and the horrible (and short) menu in the on-site dining area. To go along with that the bartender/server wasn't overly friendly towards us (we are more mature in our 60s) but seemed more than happy to laugh, giggle, explain menu items and chat with the younger men hanging around.

Yelp
The Campfire Hotel, while nicely updated in the common areas, fell below my (already not very high) expectations. Pros: - Updated features - Convenience of being downtown Cons: - Thin walls - No parking for guests - No monitoring by staff and no response to complaints (meaning parking lot was constantly filled with non-guests so multiple guests were forced to search for parking on the street and there were children screaming/running across the upper level for several hours beyond the quiet hours, every night) The building seems to be an updated motel, which is fairly obvious from the photos. I don't mind that at all, but they did have some features in the rooms that were not updated. Our room smelled rather musty, which I never really got used to. The walls are incredibly thin, but they had complimentary ear plugs on the side table for us. Between the rumbling bass of a neighbors party, completely separate pool party music, kids screaming at all hours and the cars constantly wizzing by on the main road, neither of us slept more than an hour at a time. There were multiple kids racing each other up and down the upper walkway while screaming, starting at 9:30pm and lasting throughout the night until the early hours. It was an absolute nightmare for us, as we were in Bend to attend a sunrise wedding. As well, there was absolutely nobody monitoring anything here. There were two people sitting on lawn chairs, smoking weed directly across the front desk (I have no problem with weed- the point being that nothing was being monitored) and the parking lot was so full from other guest's friends that us and several others staying there had to park down the street both nights we were there. We also couldn't use the pool or sit at the fire either night, because they were fully packed with non-guests. In fact, beyond check-in, we weren't able to get in contact with or directly speak to any staff members during our stay. Lastly, they have an envelope in the room, encouraging you to leave tips, which I thought wasn't really necessary, considering this place was just under $700 for two nights of bare-minimum service. The convenience of this place wasn't worth it for us, since the air quality ended up being hazardous and we couldn't walk to the places we wanted to walk to. In the end, we attended the event we needed to attend and that's all that really matters, however, as somebody who works really hard for the money they've earned and has worked in customer service positions for many years, I can't begin to express the frustration of spending hard-earned money on trash service. We won't ever stay here again, but if you're a non-guest trying to hang out at the fire and pool, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Yelp
This is a former cheap motel gone kitschy-themed groovy which first-timers will either love or hate. If you are a young person who enjoys a motel with a party atmosphere, you will love it! If you are a 50-something prima Donna who is used to more upscale places, you will be disappointed. First off, I am not a snob. I enjoyed the company of a homeless man sitting discreetly at the fire pit so he could stay warm. Yes, there does appear to be a homeless community behind the motel, but they did not appear troublemakers nor dangerous. The door of your motel room (it's not a hotel, folks!), opens right into your bedroom; the bathroom is too small to dress in. When my daughter opens up the door to go outside, the other guests walking past our room saw my husband in his underwear and me with boobs exposed! Did this bother me? Yes. That's the nature of the floor plan of motels! The beds were interesting: nice quality memory foam mattresses. Only problem is: you can't sit on the edge. It won't hold you. If you sleep too close to the edge, you will roll right off! The unsupported sides depress drastically. There's a retro phone in the room. Tried to call lobby but no number I tried worked! Visiting front desk later, I asked staff for instructions on how to reach lobby using their retro phone. She said she didn't know! Then the windows in the room had a serious moisture problem. I used a towel to keep it dry constantly. The fluorescent vanity light does turn on...after 10 minutes! There were a lot of quirks like this. These issues bothered me. But you might be more easy-going than me.

Yelp
This hotel was our favorite part of our entire trip to Bend! Our stay started with a complimentary mimosa bucket for our anniversary and a doggie goodie bag for our fur baby. The fire pit, heated pool, and on-site bar made every evening so much fun - we didn't want to go anywhere else! The room was spotlessly clean and cozy. Keep in mind, this is a place for people that want to have fun and socialize. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this isn't the place for you. We plan to come back to Bend just to stay here!

Yelp
So, overall it was a fair stay. The rooms were quiet and the room was clean. However, the air conditioner would not turn off for some reason. there is also a light (for whatever reason) at the bottom of the TV which is annoying and disrupts the complete dark that is best for restful sleep. The theme of the hotel is fun, but the large picture of an old vintage photo of a man at a campfire is a little weird. There are guitars in the rooms which is a cool idea, unless you don't play guitar... The staff were friendly and no issues there. There was a homeless camp and some vagrants hanging out just behind the hotel. I went to walk my dog around the hotel area which did not feel safe as a couple of the people were talking shit to me. Overall impression is that this hotel is nicely glamorized over an obvious outdated hotel.
