Camping Akti Retzika

Great place, separate from the cities, villages and other urban settlements, next to to beach. The beach is safe for kids, with small slope into water, mostly no waves, also in the morning the water is nearly as in a lake. In August there water was 27 degrees. Pitches are generous but parking spots are often far away, at the entrance. Bathrooms are clear but sometime cleaning takes anoingly long times so you cannot go in if you need to. There are strict rules to follow which help in maintaining a peaceful environment and everyone can enjoy a nice stay.

The camping is very well maintained, with attention to detail. The service is better even compared to some premium hotels. We were a big group of 20 adults and 20 kids and they were very well organized in serving us altogether for breakfast and dinner. The bar is a nice addition with a good range of cocktails.

It was just perfect, everything, the location, the stuff, the food. I really recommend it to everyone, for families, for couples. The food was so good, like in a five stars hotel. We stayed in a bell tent, it is so nice, very well equiped, really good beds. The beach is nice, too, you can get sunbeds for free. The whole camp is very clean, and the stuff is so kind.

The place is hidden oasis only 40 minutes from Thessaloniki by car. |Perfect gateway from busy everyday life. |The food at the tavern is always fresh and delicious. The daily catch fish , octopus, shrimps and kalamari are 10/10.||The staff of the complex is extremely kind and polite, always on your desposal.||Also the beach and the bar are excellent. ||For sure will come back.

Really nice camping for families with children. The bungalows were a bit tiny but equipped with everything you need. Not really suitable for cooking big meals but we opted for the half-board and the food at the restaurant was simply amazing ! The beach is nice and sandy.

The food is incredible, the room is super clean, the surroundings are well maintained, and the beach is sandy and perfect for kids. Sunbeds for everyone. The staff is well prepared, helpful and polite. But the food... omg, the food is the best we had in Greece. My special thanks for the chefs. You were outstanding!!!

I leave Akti Retzika with mixed feelings. I can’t say it’s completely bad, but it’s far from perfect in my experience. What was good? - The location of the beach is awesome - Staff is kind, our kid was ill and they let us change one of the dates of our stay so we won’t miss time from our vacation. - it is pet friendly - the atmosphere in the camping is nice - the trees keep you safe from the summer sun. What we didn’t like? - Food - the breakfast was extremely low quality, the vegetables and fruits weren’t fresh and they looked like they were from yesterday. - Dinner - I am currently pregnant and even if I said I want my meat and shrimps well done, they were served almost raw. We definitely didn’t feel the typical “taste of Greece” that we are used to. Other options from the menu were ok, but nothing special. - Location - this region doesn’t offer anything special and it feels a bit like a desert - sandy winds, dry air. - Beach - it was okay, but the staff of the beach bar of Akti Retzika does not put a lot of effort cleaning small rubbish like beer caps, used napkins and other similar. - Service in the restaurant - extremely slow. For example an usual situation was ordering food at 19:30 and it being served at about 21:30h. And in the beginning of June it is not so busy with tourists - probably because the season is still low, they don’t have enough staff in the restaurant.

We loved our stay at Akti Retzika! Location and ambiance is perfect. Trees and greenery and with beachfront it is so scenic! Beach is clean and sunbeds always available, showers, toilet, changing rooms... Camp is very clean, no trash outside anywhere. Kid friendliness: Water is very shallow for a long distance so we felt safe letting our kids go by themselves to play, with monitoring of course. Nice kid playground and area around restaurant so that kids can play around while the food arrives. The only real issue we had was the AC which smelled very bad. It's our bad that we didn't complain as I'm sure they would have tried to fix it. In the first days there was no need with the shade and breeze, but when it got 35+ and was our last days, it didn't seem to be worth making a fuss about AC.
