Camping and Leisure Living "Arnumer See"

A bit unfriendly wellcoming at reception. Poir English skills. All info only in German language so foreign tourists not taken i. Consideration. Odd way to arrange the arriving caravans right next to eachother and then leave many empty pitches between. The pitches on the South area are super narrow. The showers are not included.

The Arnumer See is a well laid out little holiday village with cottages spread out along small roads so that you can park in front of your accommodation. The cottages have kitchens with everything you need for cooking your own meals, including large fridge and a stove and a table. There is also an outside table setting on a small patio. There is some screening between cottages and a decent amount of space but it is still a rather social setting. Cottages have sleeping areas upstairs in a loft area where the ceilings are sloping down sharply, taking away a lot of space and height - be careful. There are large windows that open but no mozzie covers on windows so we got swamped with insects pretty quickly; this resort is next to a lake so naturally there are large amounts of mosquitoes about in summer. Beds are comfortable. We tried the on-site restaurant for dinner and were very pleased. Food was good, service great and it was not very expensive. While we had a nice stay here, I must add that we were rather put out in the morning when we got downstairs to be met by the most awful stench?? I suspect there was a dead mouse in a wall or something like that, because it smelt like rotting meat. We opened everything that could be opened and it soon dispersed and we were off early anyway.

Tranquil and picturesque setting, like a little village. The residents were really friendly. The lake was beautiful. Facilities clean and well appointed. Pizza in the camp restaurant was really good. Super easy to get into Hannover on the bus! Recommend.

I stayed in the chalet for 42 days and I just loved it. It was a bit small but the location was amazing. Out of the city, it felt very safe in the area and very quiet location around lake. Very friendly staff but only 1 speaks English.||||A supermarket and the bus is after 15min walk. (GOOD EXERCISES)||||There was an old lady who cleans the room! It made me feel really bad. She is to old to clean up room.||||I didn't like the food but everything else was perfect.||||If I will definitely go there again :)

Fantastic site with a lakeside pitch, lovely clear lake for swimming. We went in June 2013 & it was really hot, we needed the lake to cool down. Lovely little village with a 15 min cycle ride into Hanover City Centre

On googleit said it's open but when you arrive the reception has it's own time (if you arrive after 18:30 there's no point to try) Location- looks sick and relaxing, tho very crowd.

We camped here for one night while touring Germany. Very handy for getting to Hannover with good reliable bus service nearby. Has an onsite shop and bar. Facilities good.

Easy accessible, perfect for urban camping due to the close location to Hannover.
