Title: Absolute Disappointment – Steer Clear of This Camping Site! If you're planning a trip to Astypalaia and thinking about this camping site, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This place is a nightmare disguised as a campsite, and it absolutely ruined what should have been a relaxing vacation. First off, don’t expect a hot shower. In the 21st century, you’d think that basic amenities like warm water would be a given, but not here. Not a single drop of warm water during our entire stay – I was transported back to the days of my military service, and trust me, that’s not a compliment. Then there’s the guy with the dog. Apparently, he feels entitled to scold guests for making noise while the campsite itself blasts music and creates a ruckus until 3 AM. The irony is rich, but it didn’t bother us – what did was his attitude. Speaking of attitude, the place is crawling with pretentious pseudo-hipsters who act like they’re above everyone else. The lack of communication and basic social skills is baffling. Oh, and good luck if you need some ice. They wouldn’t sell us any, nor would they provide it – as if we’re obligated to buy drinks from their bar, which is only open during specific hours. Ridiculous! And let’s talk about the lack of lighting. They’re cutting corners everywhere they can, and it shows – literally. The beach across from the campsite? Terrible. You’d be better off swimming in a puddle. The cherry on top was the rude staff. Now, to be fair, I’ll mention the few positives: the bar was nice, and the shade was better compared to other campsites. But let’s be honest – these small advantages are nowhere near enough to save this place from being an absolute disaster. In conclusion: If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from this camping site. Astypalaia deserves better, and so do you.

Very clean, super polite staff, and generally great vibes. One of the best organised campsites I've been to in Greece. Hope it stays like this!

The people on the reception and at the bar, were so rude that if I knew it beforehand, I would've booked a room. It's not that they werent helpfull, but you are asking my money in exchange for a service, don't make me feel like you are doing me a favor everytime I ask something You should have cover beforehand. Thus, why I give you 2 stars, despite the pros like very clean bathrooms and good facilities! Also, for the people who enjoy the music at the bar was great! Edit: I know, you know and any one who reads it knows, if my review was positive, you wouldn't even bother to check on your list.

We came in july with friends, and we had great time! This camping is well organized, clean, with many spaces for tents, and friendly staff. Food, coffees and drinks are also provided, and has a fair beach just across the main road. During our stay happened a cool reggae live/dj set/party in the bar of the camping that we enjoyed a lot! The place is fair and with normal and affordable prices. Furthermore, they can pick you up from the port on arrival! enjoy and stay cool!

I am not a very experienced camper but this camping is awesome. Personnel was very helpful and cheerful. Every night's event was fun and the restaurant delivers very good quality and cheap food. Camping areas were very clean and the tent areas were spaced out correctly and not stuffed. I stayed there for 4 days this July and I have only two small complaints. First, when checking out we were asked the receipt of the down payment but that's unnecessary because you can't do a booking without down payment. Also they should have the receipt in handy, no need to ask for it. Second complaint is that the bathrooms (especially the showers) are few. Like, we spotted only 6 showers per gender for the whole camping. Other than that, it was an awesome stay.

The camping is located between the port and the capital of the island making it be in a good enough location. The location itself has a nice view and a comfortable to swim beach right in front of it. Though if you are not an avid walker, walking to the capital and back may pose a small problem. The premises are constantly cleaned throughout the 24 hours of the day and it's one of these camping that you would feel comfortable to even lay on the floor of the toilet. There was no occasion that a toilet was without paper, the bath without warm water or the sinks without soap. Well done. The tent space is very organized and your stay may vary depending on the exact spot. In general, the floor is very small rocks specifically put there for the camping. There is human made bamboo shadow ceiling providing enough shadow. If it windy you also get some breeze. There is not a lot of space to put a hammock. There is no convenience store, just the bar / restaurant which you should take care to note that is not always working when the high season ends (summer end). The camping has a free bus that take you from and to the port which is an excellent service to have. The toilet and baths may be a bit less than expected when the camping is totally full. The wifi is really weak and can only be accessed in a specific area around the reception. There are a lot of power outlets to charge your electronics, some fridges for a thing or two readily available. No lockers are provided but you can ask for the reception to hold something for you which is done really professionally. I would recommend it as a camping site and for sure as an experience. The people that own it are pretty warm and welcoming. The camping shares the same relaxed vibe as the rest of the island.

Remember to pet the cat. It is very important you do this! Not his belly though, he does not enjoy that and will not hesitate to scratch you. You can't blame him though, the belly of a cat is a very vulnerable place and only the most trustworthy people can be allowed to pet it.
