We were on vacation with no camping reservations. We lucked into finding Bord de la Mer campground located right next to the St Lawrence River. This campground has lots of sites with options of 2, 3 or no services. Beautifully maintained. We opted for 2 services and got a site viewing the water and easy access to the beach. The walkable beach is long which you can walk on or enjoy the sunset. The weather was very warm however, the brisk breeze kept us cool. Dogs on a leash are welcome.||Bord de la Mer has a website and takes reservations. The staff in the office spoke fluent French and English which was very helpful. Easy access to the dump station. Well within the average price for 2 services and the view of the river and beach can't be beat. Enjoy!

This is a great place to stay, we rented a cabin, it was comfortable and clean. The views are spectacular and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. It's peaceful and quiet, I would offer only one suggestion for improvement. Relocate the laundry. It's currently in the ladies washroom - shower room and men are hanging about while ladies are doing their toilett and showers. We will come back for another stay at this campground.

Fabulous location. We had a site right on the seaside and got lucky with the most spectacular sunset. Owners are friendly and bilingual. Veronique cooked us a delicious lobster dinner which we took to our RV to enjoy by the sea! Cap Chat is a very pretty area and the beach provides a wonderful walk!

The campsite is located directly on the sea. And 40 minutes from the Gaspesie National Park. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a delicious lobster meal for the first time. We liked the salty sea air better after a mosquito plague at the campsite in the forest. And the most beautiful thing is the sunset at sea.

Camping au bord de la mer is one of the best shoreline campgrounds we saw in our late May 2023 trip along the St. Lawrence River through Gaspesie. A lovely young couple runs the campground and keeps things organized and clean. Both French and English are spoken. The sites are open and fairly close together, but this is typical for all campgrounds along the River. Camping au bord de la mer is located on the sea side of Highway 132, unlike pretty much all the other campgrounds in the area. The bathrooms are basic but clean with flush toilets, hot water, and showers that cost $1 per 5 minutes. There are also laundry facilities in the women’s room side of the bath house. |The campground has free wifi with good complete coverage. One nice bonus is that the owners will cook you a fresh lobster dinner (~15$ per pound) that you can either eat at your site or in the dining room attached to the office.

Beautiful campsite with access to the water, wild roses and butterflies. We loved watching the tide go in and out. The sound of the sea put us right to sleep. We stopped on our way to Forillon. Bathrooms were clean. Owner was very nice!

We really enjoyed this campground. We had one of the sites overlooking the St Lawrence, it was beautiful. Sunsets were great, sitting and enjoying the waves breaking on the beach was very relaxing. We saw a seal and a bald eagle from our campsite. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They also serve lobster directly on the campground, and it was delicious! Would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
The most .... interesting camping spot we have ever stayed at. Back onto the Saint Lawrence River.. very quiet, very French... lots of local spots to eat. We would definitely stay again. If I can add pic at a later date I'll will.
