The situation of this site is good, near beach, a few bars/restaurants open on the way in to town - 30min walk.|The site however needs a lot of work. The pitches are uneven, high kerbs that would catch a motor mover and sharp corners with low tree branches. The ground is the local red earth. Nightmare to keep anything clean and the slightest wind blows up red dust. Showers and loos OK but not great. Several long stay campers seem to think they need to feed the stray cats 2xdaily. Hence I am told there are loads of rats however I have seen none. The bar is the most unwelcoming I have ever been to. They don't turn lights or heating or coffee machine on unless someone goes in. Why would you. Vicious circle. We walked 20mns to Bonterra park to get Happy Hour prices and some atmosphere. I gave this feedback to the site before I left.

We turned up late at night hoping for a pitch, the lovely girl on reception helped us without any problems. Once set up we returned to the bar for a drink, €5.50 for a beer & a glass of wine! Couldn't understand why we where the only ones in there, at those prices. The campsite was clean & tidy. Only 5 minutes walk from the beach & 20 walk from the town centre. Only stayed one night as we're heading further down the coast. I'd happily return, but not in the summer when it would be too busy for us.

We arrived on a very water logged site as it had torrential rain the day before. There were very few vans on site, probably due to the weather !! Receptionist very friendly and signposted us to the pitch. Unfortunately there was another torrential downpour as we drove up the site to look for our pitch number. They were not clearly marked and it took us 20 minutes to find the pitch! The toilets, shower etc were very tired looking and not very clean. I opted out of using their showers and we decided to stay only 1 night. Bar. swimming pool on site, didn't stay long enough to comment on either.|29.50 Euros per pitch including electricity. Definately over priced. I would not stay here again even for 1 night. Benicasim is a really lovely place with a beautiful promenade lined with amazing spanish villas, old and new. Really nice town to walk to from the campsite. Shame about the site as it is well situated.

Liked: Location is great, short walk to the beach. Receptionist very professional and helpful. Bar and pool great. Plenty of hot water. Clean facilities. Disliked: Appears to be a large residential component. Available touring pitches mostly on uneven ground with low trees. Sanitary facilities very dated and would benefit from modernisation. Shower cubicles have no integral area to change or place towel. Communal area to dry and change. One can feel exposed as glass bricks to adjacent facilities. However, they were clean.

Liked: The site was well maintained and had plenty to of other things to do, paddle tennis, ping-pong, kids parks, bicycle hire. We also enjoyed the wetlands and the wildlife watching. On site restaurant is very nice Disliked: We initially booked this site because it came up from a search for Tarragona. It's no where near Tarragona so don't make the same mistake. The nearby town of L'amporra is very quiet.

Me gustó: The pool and bar are great. In good condition and with lots of space. We went in October, so it was off-season and it wasn't too busy but still just hot enough to go in the pool. The toilets and showers are a little bit out of date but were very clean and with lots of space. No me gustó: The pitches were very small. It seemed to us that it was more like a carpark for camper vans. We were in a large tent and because it was off-season we managed to find a pitch with no one either side but I would imagine that in summer it would be very cramped.

Liked: Staff were excellent. Bar was a treat. Swimming pool was great. Proximity to beach a big + Disliked: Somewhat uneven pitchs for tenting with some rocks and a lack of grass.

We loved it so much we are going back this Autumn. It is a short walk to a fabulous beach with great restaurants ON the beach. People were friendly and helpful. It is not fancy, but with its location and friendly and helpful staff, we can hardly wait to return.
