Camping Azilan

Wonderful location for exploring Chefchaouen, friendly and helpful staff. Facilities could use a little tender care but worth the stay. A few stray dogs about just outside the camp, just a note if you take your dogs for a walk they will all come to check them out but no problems.

Arrived just as it was dark, which was not ideal driving up that hill. We found a good spot at the end of the site. Woke up to a great view. The main shower was in use so the guardian showed us the alternative which is in a building with a couple of squats. Adequate, with hand held shower but plenty of hot water. Husband locked the door and stayed while I showered as a there’s only a curtain for privacy. It’s a very steep walk down to the town which takes 15-20 minutes if you take it carefully. The town is very pretty and you are not hassled at all in the medina which makes it chilled. £10 a night, 80p for a hot shower. No supplies available at the site.

Great campsite on a mountain. It was very nice driving my mobile home from Tangier to here on small roads along with the great beaches. The local town is just 20 minutes lovely to walk to downhill. The campsite is full of lovely trees with stunning views all around and very peaceful. Very old toilets, showers, and washing up areas need an upgrade. Most toilets and showers don't have light and no windows. We can't lock many doors from inside, so we have to watch the doors when we are using toilets. Great wifi and lovly and helpful staff.

Lovely welcome , nice walk downhill to Chef, the site itself has beautiful views. Moroccan standards for showers etc. but lovely for a stay over , thank you

We are a group of 10 people biking through the North we stayed one night! The place with a viewpoint of the town, toilets,showers, the staff are good and everything else is good as well 😊

Perched on a hill at the top of the town this camp has a good view over Chefchaouen. There is a pathway of stairs that takes you down to town in about ten to fifteen mins. You can easily get a taxi back for 20 MAD. The camp itself has good shade and flat sites and feels very safe. The ablutions are clean and plentiful. The staff are helpful and friendly. I would say this is the best place in town to camp. There are many camp cats. We befriended a little black kitten called Mr Fluffles. If you see him give him a tin of tuna from us!!

A great spot to visit Chef. Friendly and cheap but the toilets and showers were pretty poor compared to many sites we have stayed at in Morocco. Level site with some shade and a few pitches in the trees. 95mad for camper with 2 people and 10 more for ehu. Easy walk down steps to the lively pretty souk. Get a taxi back up for no more than 20 mad for 2. Decent enough
