I stayed in a double room for 2 nights as a solo guest. ||||The room was of a poor standard decoration wise, with poor chipped paintwork, dirt stains and poor finishing. The floor tiles were either cracked and in bad condition.||||The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean. ||||The bathroom was also uncomfortable to use, poor pressure on shower like a slow garden hose and cold too. The shower cubicle had cracked tiles, mould and dirt in areas. ||||I had room next to restaurant and windows only being of mesh, it was very noisy for me till guests went bed after watching tv as they sat in the restaurant and it became noisy at 5am when kitchen staff prepared for breakfast.||||Breakfast was basic - eggs, toast, hot drink and arepas. ||||Dinner was expensive at 20,000 - 25, 000 COP. Limited choice generally and even more so if vegetarian. Pasta was like pasta in plain tomato soup with no flavour. The second night I asked to be made chips as thought this would be more satisfying, which they did for which I was grateful. ||||The pool and sun bed area is nice, yet the toilets downstairs underneath are like an unfinished building site. ||||The hammocks in the grounds are nice to sleep in. ||||People said that the tents on the beach front were clean and comfortable to sleep in. ||||The beach is vitually empty and peaceful, but you can not swim in it.||||Staff are lovely and helpful. Laurena and Rozana were very nice.||||With a bit of attention this place can be amazing. Shame it is not. It was over priced for about £40 per night for double room given the standard, but I think I paid more for location than standard. ||||Overall, nice to stay in Tayrona National Park, which is lovely and handy if you want to be in the park for more than a day.
