Located by river Tarn. Friendly at reception. Includes a bar and a nice small restaurant. We stayed in campervan by the river. Shower houses and toilets a bit outdated but fine. Garbage needs lids since at night animals seem to knock them over and dig through. No toiletpaper.

Merci pour tout! We had the most wonderful time on the riverbanks, in the waters and in the tipihome. It really was a delightful place to be in the hot hot sun with swimming spots galore all along the rivers. Now we know why our friends come back here every year, highly recommended!

Expectations still over achieved, superb Site, many Shadowed places, you can jump direct in the Tarn, what was today with >35 degrees wonderful. We directly prolonged for 2nd nicht Sanitary very good, obviously recently (last year?) renewed Also self barbeque area available or just go to the cosy restaurant at river side The chef and staff very helpful, helped me out with power cables Resume: wonderful place

Lovely campsite with a beautiful riverside location. On-site restaurant serves well priced good pizzas, steak frites, salads and burgers, which is pretty much what is served in all local restaurants (it’s not a great area for cuisine) Two of us stayed in a basic static caravan which served our needs as we spent most time sitting on its veranda. Double bed is on the small side. Good size fridge freezer but no oven. 45min walk into Florac mainly along one of the GR routes that follow the river The cheap plastic patio furniture was adisappointment, unlike that provided for the Tepees. You have to clean the caravans or their is a €40 charge which seems a bit strange. I’ve never cleaned a hotel room. Staff are very friendly and helpful Would stay here again.

What a fantastic campsite! We spent three weeks travelling around France and Spain and this was one of our favourite stops. We were warmly welcomed and given a choice of pitches. We chose a tranquil spot overlooking the gorgeous river which was perfect for swimming and beaver watching. All the staff were amazing... so friendly and helpful. The food in the small restaurant was very good.... we ended up eating there three nights out of four! We will definitely be back!

We've just spent 5 nights at Chantemerle and loved every second. The site is quiet and so pretty, with pitches in amongst the trees. The access to the river for some paddling, swimming and general lounging around is excellent. The amenities are clean and the showers warm. There is plenty to explore nearby, if you love being outdoors, and your host will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. Perfect little holiday.

Beautiful campsite, lovely friendly staff who are always happy to help with reservations and suggestions. I couldn't speak more highly of the place. If you like quiet campsites in tranquil surroundings this will be right up your street. There is a safe slow moving section of the river on the site with small sand beach and a rustic restaurant serving tasty food. Always best to book in advance for the restaurant and campsite as they can both book up in high season.

My wife and I had a delightful 2 night stay during a quiet mid-June in 2016. Nicole, the owner/manager was so helpful and suggested a perfect driving circuit taking in the best if the Tarn Gorge and it's picturesque villages. My wife had heard about the resident Beaver family and was delighted by a glimpse of one at dusk. Don't miss out on a pizza whilst you are visiting. They are excellent. Highly recommended camp site. Thankyou.
