Camping Club Desert

This well-maintained camp is located on the outskirts of the city, right next to a beautiful date palm grove. It offers plenty of space with flat surfaces, making it ideal for setting up camp. The facilities include four showers with hot water, four toilets, and a dedicated area for washing dishes. The campsite is secure at night, ensuring a safe and peaceful stay. The staff is exceptionally friendly and provides helpful information about the area. A great bonus is that they can bring fresh bread upon request. Another highlight is that beer is available for purchase on-site, which is a rare find in the city and local shops. The camp has a welcoming and adventurous atmosphere, as it serves as a meeting point for travelers heading to or returning from their Sahara adventures. Highly recommended for those seeking a comfortable and well-equipped stopover in the region.

We camped four nights at Camping Club Desert in October 2021. First things first: We would go there anytime again and I would definitely recommend this place to my best friends. The owner Sophia is a gentle lady and speaks at least four languages: French, English, Arabic (Tunisia) and German. Her staff is always friendly and very helpful: Ahmed provided an angle grinder immediately when ask for. The bathroom area is simple but clean and provides a hot water shower. The place also provides a washing machine to do your laundry. At the main building’s terrace you can chat with likeminded people while drinking a cold beer.

nice camping on the edge of the dessert and well secured. For all kind of hardcore overlanders. Restrooms and showers are clean. Located close to the old town and market. The management offers beverages and beer 🤩 Been there many times and can highly recommend that place. Nice restaurants are located in walking distance. You also can do a car wash and fuel station close by.

Nice cozy campsite near the town. Owner very friendly and helpful. A Good spot for meeting other offroaders and start adventures into the dessert.

A very beautiful camping with an amazing staff! We were here for only one day and the owner as well as the staff did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible (she even arranged to have a restaurant make us some camel) This gem next to the gates to the desert and the palmeraie is definitely worth your stay!

Nice and clean camping in walking distance from market place and nice cafés/local restaurants. Stay in company of many 4x4 tours and enjoy the warm shower

Great camping, very helpful staff. Ablutions are clean and hot water, which is very pleasant if you just returned from the desert.
