Very nice campground. It's huge sites are close together. Sites close to water are sloped. Nice showers, very quite. Wifi is weak where we were. Cell phone 1 bar We would definitely stay again. Take the time to walk down to the water edge beautiful

This is an amazing campground! Joseph and staff have gone beyond our expectations. Our stay here was not planned, happened by accident. Our large motorhome broke down on the highway and the CAA representative who assisted us on the highway, knew we couldn't travel far with the motorhome the way it was, so he recommended this campground. The fact that this campground has everything one could ask for, swimming pool, tons of games, a canteen and outdoor activities for both children and adults, has made our stay that much more enjoyable. Thank you Joseph and all staff for turning our unfortunate circumstance into an enjoyable extended holiday, we will never forget your hospitality and kindness! Karen & Greg Kelly (Ottawa)

Totally relaxed after spending 4 days here with family. I will definitely return! Beautiful view of the river even though we did not have a campsite on the edge of the water. All we had to do was reposition our chairs a little closer to the edge of our land like many other visitors did, and voila, a breathtaking view. Staff was polite and friendly. Cleaning crew came often to clean the facilities, which included showers, flushing toilets and a sink area for washing dishes. Staff drove by to make sure all was good and also had fire wood in pickup for sale. Pool and play area was fun for the kids. Camp site was clean and had picnic table and fire pit. We rented a spot with two services which were water and electricity.

We were assigned a pull thru on the St. Lawrence level of the campground. We tried to stay an extra night but they were booked. This is a great campground for families. Lots of kids everywhere. There is an inflatable castle, a great pool, mini golf, shuffleboard, a snack truck and wonderful playgrounds. The laundry and bathrooms are updated and immaculate....even a private area for bathing baby. Our French is minimal but we made an effort to be friendly and we got a lot of smiles in return, with some conversation using hands and both languages. We enjoyed it. There are rude folks everywhere. Ignore them

It was our second time at this camping. Last time we went with our RV. This year we decided to splurge on a water front cabin that they are renting. Thins quickly turned out to be a nightmare when we noticed that giant ants were crawling everywhere. After killing around 30 of them we went to the front desk and explained the situation. They admitted being aware of the issue.... unbelievable. ||We were told that all cabins we occupied so they gave us the keys to their "family apartment" which is in fact an apartment in a house on the side of road 132... not a camping like experience and definitely no ocean front views, so this was a great disappointment. ||We we asked for a rebate on our cabin rental (500$ ++) we were told that "these tings can happen and are totally normal in the woods! I must admit that I am profoundly disappointed by the lack of comprehension from the manager in regards to the fees charged. Having to still pay full price for a cabin infested by insects is unacceptable. ||Camping is very nice but stay away from the cabins if you don't want insects crawling on you at night. ||Now I am hoping I did not bring back carpenter ants in my own home...

Its rated 5 stars but actually i wouldn't give it more than 3. The beach is actually too dirty to go in the water, looooots of slopes which would be an advantage if the view wasnt blocked by all the trees. The bests campsites are seasonnal campers. Except for the 10 campsites you can get with an RV, you wont have a view other than trees. Beach not accessible for strollers and same thing for the sight seeing spot (interesting choice made by the owners as other seasonnal campsite would allow a great view and access but they are now for permanent campers). Bathroomsand showers are really clean, lots of activities to be offered. ||||Roads are super thight, you can't face another car if your campsite is down the hill. which makes akward situation.||||The small city nearby is great!||||If you choose that campsite for activities, its a good one. For the view, find something else except if you have a tent, the campsites have a great view but again a bad beach.

I stayed at Camping La Demie Lieue twice, initially on the recommendation of a trusted friend. I was on a road trip from Nova Scotia to Ontario and stayed overnight on my way up and for 2 nights on my return trip. I can't speak highly enough about my experience. The setting right on the shores of the St. Lawrence River is absolutely wonderful. The tent campsites are small but set right on the banks of the river like they are I was so very happy. How lovely to fall asleep with the sound of the waves gently breaking on the rocks just feet from my small tent! The staff at the office were fluently bilingual and very friendly. The entire site is well laid out, organized, meticulously clean and very quiet. There are showers and flush toilets right in the tent camping area. They are very well maintained and extremely clean. I also appreciated the outside sink that made it easy to get water for washing dishes, etc. The guy who drives down each evening to sell firewood and act as security was most gracious and helpful when my fire pit needed to be moved. The wood isn't the greatest quality, but has lots of kindling in it and is soft enough that you don't have a hardwood fire going half the night! Not only is the campsite lovely, but the entire region was a lot of fun to spend time exploring. Lots of photo ops; the sculptures that you find everywhere are a lot of fun. And the frequent municipal look off points along the Highway 132 are great. Lots of small restaurants and lovely old Quebec churches as well as traditional houses and great vistas are everywhere. I can't wait to get back to the St. Jean-Port Joli region and to camp again at La Demie Lieue. I think I might even head up for a week next summer just to explore the area and gaze at the lights along the North Shore begin to twinkle as the sun sets and night overtakes the landscape. Lovely. Simply Lovely.

They have nice chalets to rent, this is a fact BUT you cannot visit one before renting. The lady at the front desk said to my husband, "on ne parle pas anglais ici" : nice way to greet a customer, then we learned that we had to rent linen and that on monday, June 20 it was high season, so full price BUT Wi-Fi was not yet available and the swimming pool was empty Bad, bad, bad all the way. Fortunately, when we checked out, the young man at the desk was smiling and polite.
