Probably the most beautiful camping I've ever been with very tall mountains towering around it. Everything from the camping was really nice with enough tables for cooking and sitting inside for tent people. There was also a drying room and the bathroom was very clean. Small complaints were that there were not enough showers, so sometimes there were small queues and all the tents were really close together in the tents space, you don't really get your own space. Biggest downside is that this camping is just like the rest of Grindelwald very expensive, we paid 70€ per night for 2 people with 2 small tents.

We came here years ago and it was great, but today I arrived with my two newborns to a horrid camping space. We literally parked in what looks like a road, with dirt and small gravel on the ground. Cars pass by our table. The kids cannot play on this awful place. There is no shade. There is no playground. And it is overcrowded. The other permanent vans stay on the grass, but we paid a good amount of money for a parking lot. I am very very sad and disappointed. Even on Google maps it looks grassy, so this was just a plain scam. Who in the world thought this was a good idea shame on you.The mountains are amazing! This is the only good part.

The camping is amazing because of its location / views (10 minute walk to Grindelwald) & nice staff. It has a freezer and fridge available as well. However, for its size the amount of toilets and showers is not adequate. Also, the majority of pitches for cars are gravel, so we had to ask to switch to one of the fewer grass pitches to be able to set up our other half of our rooftop tent. Also, the campsite is not directly at the river as the map suggests but there is a dam/dike in between (so from the pitch no direct access to the water, which is not a big deal but worthy to note).

One of my favorite campsites on my backpacking trip through Switzerland. It has a small field for tents and therefore not too many people. Space for probably 10 tents max, the rest is for campervans. It has very friendly and helpful staff at the reception - they were very kind to offer me help with laundry when I came without cash nor detergent. For 10 CHF I got both coins for washer and dryer and a cup of detergent which I greatly appreciated after hiking in the same clothes for a few days and nothing seemed to dry in the rains. I met the most wonderful backpackers here and we shared meals in our covered kitchen. Restrooms and showers were clean and plenty. They also have shelves and fridge storage for the food - don’t store food in the tent at this campground, foxes will find anything and everything that smells of food and will bite through your tent. Campsite has multiple signs about it and one backpacker lost an entire bag of food overnight. Tent field did not flood in the heavy rain. Views all around are incredible. There are no cows with bells nor town bell nearby to guarantee a quiet and peaceful night sleep. I’d love to be back. Thank you for your kindness ❤️

The camp offers a picknick room, a room for cooking and a storage room with fridge and shelves. That‘s why 4 stars. Otherwise it would be 3 stars because of old bathrooms with only two showers for men and two for women. Sometimes the shower was clogged and some toilet seats were broken. I had a feeling that the camp site was overbooked with tents squeezed next to each other and some tents outside of the fence. Not too comfy.. Very good location for exploring the area. Great view. Ideal for climbers and light travelers. Pleasant staff, especially the young lady.

Great location and amazing views, with a bus every half hour up the hill to the centre of town. The shared eating areas, food storage, fridge and freezer were a real bonus, but they quickly became too full. There is a drain next to the eating area where the caravans unload some liquids and it is quite disgusting. The staff was super nice and the woman in the reception gave us great suggestions at for activities and helped us plan hikes in the area. The campsite is not ideal and was overpriced for the experience. It's a very small strip wide enough for one row of tents on each side. There are no pitches marked out and this was taken advantage of by groups setting up their own seating areas, kitchens…etc. As there is very little space, it seems everyone pitches on the same area, making the ground very muddy. It also seemed overbooked during our stay. The showers and toilets were okay and clean, but 2 showers (sometimes only 1 working) is not enough for the whole site and you always had to queue.

Top location! Pitches are big enough but it would be great if they can cut the grass! There are more than 70pitches and space for tent but only 2 showers and 3 toilets😕I need to wait every evening for 20minutes to take a shower. The balance between hot and cold water is also bad. But all things considered Grindelwald is very beautiful valley! I recommend!

Campsite is located at a very scenic valley with picturesque mountain views, and our pitch was next to a river Some construction went on while we were there but the owner Daniel gave us superb service and support which made our stay ever so pleasant and comfortable. He even helped us sort out our electrical cable challenges and gave us some travel tips as well. Highly recommended if you are looking for a nice campsite in Grindelwald area !
