Camping Hirzberg

The plots are a little on the small side but as the site is so close (a 25-minute walk into a great town) it’s not likely that you would choose to spend a lot of time on site. The facilities are excellent and kept very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful (even offering cycle route suggestions). They also spoke excellent English. If you don’t fancy walking into town there is a very nice restaurant with a large outside area literally next door. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very pleasant campingsite. Mainly for campers/caravans but also has a few spots for tents, hidden from the campers, so that's nice. Staff are all very friendly and everything is clean and working well. Only found two minor downsides: there is no own parking so you have to be lucky to find an available spot along the road (which is free of cost). And the water in the showers turns off every 15 sec or so, so you have to keep pushing the button for a nice shower. Would recommend!

Showers and toilets great. Gets extremely busy. We hadn't booked, but they were able to give us an emergency space next to the bins.

This is a lovely place. Close to Hirzberg Hill and nature, even though it is placer 1.5 from central Freiburg, 500m from tram-network, and very close to multiple supermakets. As a tent-camper, you have both electricity, restrooms including toilets and baths, and kitchen facilities. The staff was friendly and helpsome. Can wholeheartedly recommend Hirzberg camping!

We felt very good. We had a great and warm welcome. It was a great time. Guests were fantastic. Very close to beautifull Freiburg. All facilities were clean, open, and in a very good shape. Bar / shop also great. The staff was very attentive, friendly, helpful, and they also spoke Catalan. ;) We will be back! Music Lover! ;)

Ok for big rigs, good amenities(sanitary, kitchen, washing machines), nice communal spaces, friendly and helpful staff, walking distance from the town centre, near cycling/ walking paths, enjoyed our stay despite the torrential rain.

The campsite is well located, close to town and the river. The toilet block was clean and the showers were good. The campervan pitches are relatively small (the length of our van and a two meters wider). For me that did spoil the visit somewhat as the smell of cigarette smoke and frying sausages from nearby campers pervaded our van - but, you may be luckier than us. That said, the site was quiet at night and felt friendly. I do wish more campers considered the effects of smoking on neighbours. I am sure that in 20 years time campsites will be smoke free.
