Camping "Im Aal"

Fabulous campsite with great facilities and bar. Pitches are big and flat, and really well maintained. Toilets and showers kept clean and well stocked throughout the day by the team. The owners (and team) are friendly and welcoming, and work really hard to ensure everyone has a great stay. We loved it so much we changed our touring plans to come back a week later. Local area is spectacular too. We will certainly return.

We are here now. The campsite is in a fabulous area. The pitches are a little small but for the location well worth stopping. Booking in was very easy, but once we were set up reception closed and I couldn't find anyone to contact about services. Eventually I found the receptionist walking through the site. They had decided to shut the bar/cafe as not enough customers so we didn't get to use this😢. The town Esch is 5 min walk and is stunning. There were a few bars restaurants open there. Definitely stop to see the area, it's amazing.

Lovely lady on reception was super helpful and friendly. We checked a couple of pitches and asked for another, no problems. Sanitary block was very clean all the time we were there. Easy 10 minutes walk from site to town. We enjoyed our stay and would come again, recommend.

This was a very friendly campsite just on the edge of a very picturesque town. The location is great and the campsite has two halves either side of a lovely river. In the off season only half the site is open but we used the closed side of the site for walking the dog in the morning. Unfortunately the part of the site that is open off season does have a large number of static caravans which impacts the character of the site and can make you feel that you intruding in someones garden! The river front offers better location but less sun (as the deep valley creates lots of shadow), the road side has more sun but less quiet. Local maps have lots of great walks from the campsite and the town is easy to walk to for evening meals and well lit for your return. Luxembourg really maintains its environment so we found great roads, paths, parks and well sign posted walks.

Stayed here for 2 nights at beginning of European tour. Had a wonderful riverside large pitch. The weather was perfect and luckily, was within walking distance to local town where there are 2 restaurants. The showers were very clean and staff were helpful. Stayed on a Sunday and no staff at all, no bar/restaurant which was a little disappointing. We paid €17 per night which was an absolute bargain. Would definitely come again - and be more prepared for a very quiet Sunday..

Situated in a beautiful location through the Sure course, this camping is the nearest to the picturesque little village of Esch sur Sure (300m). It is high significant in beautiful weather days because at night the village's towers are enlighted and the view is great.|It is also near to the bus stop (250m) before the village. Since the village is very little, the camp thanks to the bus gives you the chance to relax at the Lake of Haute Sure or descend to Ettkebruck.||About the camping: staff very nice, bathrooms and showers are really clean, there is also a cafe which opens in the afternoon. The spots are polite, with no slopes and well divided but at the same time you can share some words with your neighbours.||Approved!

My ideal campsite! Right by the river. Calm. Quiet. Clean. Organized. Friendly staff. I spent 4 lovely nights. Perfect pitches for tents. Cute near by village if you're looking for a simple meal. Nearby kids playground. Nice long walks by the river. They have a bar & restaurant but didn't try it since I cooked all my food at my tent by the river. A lot fishermen but didn't see any fish. Looking forward to staying at this campsite again. Recommended for singles, couples and families for a short or long stay.

Location is perfect. Next to a pretty busy road but more quiet during the night. Nice café to treat yourself after a day of hiking. One element we found needed a little work were the toilet blocks, outdated and some taps (both in sink and showers) were broken.
