We arrrived at Almafrá campsite on a early flight was a 4pm check in |But the eurocamp rep Michelle had text me and arranged for the caravan to be ready for 11am which was great |Marta on reception was lovely and helped us check in fast |The caravan was a bit small for 6 people but was adequate as we didn’t spend much time in it |There was enough plates and glasses and cooking facilities|The mini market is a bit bare not much in it could do with selling suncream etc |The closest big supermarket is a 30 minute walk away walk to Alfa’s de pi |The campsite has a lot of rules |Some understable |But no crisps around the pool is a bit harsh |The pool only opens at 10 am |Which is a bit late during hot weather |The bar and restaurant are cheap enough |£2.10 a pint and it’s nice beer |The food is good and cheap too|There is a bus stop a 5 minute walk away |And a tram stop close too|The tram is a nightmare grumpy unhelpful staff |And it drops you off a 25 minute walk to the beach |The entertainment is hit and miss |Some good some really bad |The animation team are good and try to entertain everyone |The campsite will not tolerate any shouting or arguments and you will be warned to stop or leave |All in all it’s a cheap holiday |Recommend eurocamp to book with |And special thanks to Michelle and Peter who run it |Go above and beyond

I can’t compliment the staff and facilities enough. Bungalow was clean and very well equipped. The pool was clean, and surrounding spotless. The food was excellent, we ate there mostly as the price was good and quality was also. Diego/Nazir/Julia/Clara/George, you guys are fantastic. Huge shout out to Carlito, made me smile, funny guy and so good with the Ninos! Stay here for a safe and enjoyable time. 100% recommend.

Liked: very clean site. Staff were friendly, found travel to various parts of Spain cheap by train a few minutes walk from site. oh need to mention St George's day ..on site excellent. nice pool very clean. Disliked: shop could have done with a bit more variety of goods but okay.

Liked: Fantastic camp site, very clean, well maintained, stunning pool area, reception and bar. Disliked: A male member of the reception team was rude in all my dealings with him. It was a tough day for everybody as Spain, Portugal and France lost its entire electricity network, we had no electric, the toilets didn’t flush and the showers didn’t work, we lost all ability to communicate. So for all the camp looks good, it was a disaster of a stay so we left and returned home next morning, not the camps fault.

Liked: Good size of pitch. Level hard standing. Helpful reception. Good toilet and shower facilities but looking tired. Entertainment most evenings. Good restaurant. Disliked: We had to move pitch after 2 days but our first pitch was not occupied for 2 weeks!

We have stayed at Almafra on many occasions renting a static or a bungalow from 2018 until this year. DO NOT GO , ||- The site is advertised as 5 stars and it advertises many facilities that don’t exist. There are no slides at the swimming pool, the food menu is very poor and the indoor pool is only used by children’s birthday parties and children visiting are not allowed to use. My main points of complaint are:|- people who live at Almafra pay £5000 rent per year , people who book the statics and chalets also pay for their accommodation and both of these include use of all the facilities at the site. For the last year , the manager David has said he doesn’t like the British and has now advertised Almafra as a party venue. ||- The bar staff JULIA AND GEORGE AND NAZ are amazing and work so hard under such pressure|- This means that 2 or 3 nights per week there are children’s parties and at the weekends there are communion parties, weddings, anniversaries etc. which have also paid to use the facilities. What happens is that the party areas are blocked off and people who live on Almafra or are on holiday there have nowhere to sit .|- The residents or holidaymakers have been told on multiple occasions in the last 6 months that food is not available due to the party taking place, When we entered the bar area we were shouted out by the Spaniards who said they had paid for the facilities and the management agreed. |- I complained about not being able to use the facilities and bar area and was told if you don’t like it then just leave |- The pool area is so busy with the private parties that it is impossible to sit there either.|- We looked at buying a static but have been warned that when you sell you have to sell through Almafra and only receive a third of the value… for example, static being sold for £75000 - the owner was only paid £30000|- Every attempt to have a discussion with any of the management team or owners is responded to with … If you don’t like it then don’t stay.||This used to be such a beautiful place until 18 months ago. ||.

Wow, what a weird experience, we booked a 2 night break to explore towns on the coast near Benidorm, Albir, Altea, Calpe and Moreira.|We arrived at the site 12.30 pm.|I called in to reception to be told there was a power cut affecting Spain, France and Portugal, the entire country’s electric supply was down.|In addition, communication was down too.|most shops and restaurants in the area had to close, it was chaos.||After we had checked in, it became evident that this situation would not change quickly, the toilets wouldn’t flush showers didn’t work and we had no electricity or communication.|Nothing worked, we had intended eating out and had not brought food.||Thankfully we managed to get a sandwich from the bar, all they could make and drinks were being served as long as you could pay cash.||We bought a few bits from the shop.||We were going to drive home, up the coast to Torrevieja, however was advised against it as traffic lights on the roads were all down too.|We stayed around, had a beer or 2 in the sun, sat outside the camper.|It was a pleasant evening, all be it, it wasn’t what we had planned.|Had everything, been working, this would have been a fantastic base, a really class camp site, clean toilet and shower area, fantastic, pool and bar and reception areas.||Next morning we had no electricity as no one visited to hook us up, which has to be done on this site, the toilets and showers were still not working, so we cut our losses and drove home.||If I have an issue, there is a member of staff at reception, I found to be rude, right from his first words regards the power cuts , his general attitude at our first meeting and subsequent meetings was very poor.||Other than that the other staff were friendly and professional.|I would go back here and try to do the trip we arranged and hope for better circumstances which were all outside the camp sites control.

Liked: The space for the motorhome was good, the showers were really good and powerful, toilets and showers clean. Shop small but has the essentials. Didn’t try the swimming pool as we have a dog and no access for dogs. We didn’t go to the bar for the same reason. Staff on the desk friendly but not much within walking distance, due to having a dog we had to get a taxi into Benidorm but there was a tram stop nearby for others.
