Campsite: The campsite was meticulously maintained, offering nice clean showers, toilets, and spacious pitches.|Campsite Staff: The reception staff were super friendly and helpful, taking their time to provide detailed explanations about the campsite facilities and available tours.|Campsite Location: Situated just a 5-minute walk from the banks of Lake Lucern, guests can enjoy the Strandbad Lido featuring a beach, swimming pool and restaurants at a 10fr entrance fee per person. Additionally, a short stroll from the campsite leads to the Verkehrshaus Lido/jetty, providing access to ferries and tours. From this point, it’s a picturesque 25-minute walk around the lake to the main city of Lucern…|But take heed!.. this campsite is very popular!… we were lucky to get a pitch… as within an hour of us arriving there were 5 campers queuing outside facing a no-entry/full sign!… |We would definitely recommend a staying here!

Great spot. Great service. Great staff. The proximity of the city and the lake makes it the perfect base camp for exploring the region. Been there twice for 2 nights with our motorhome. Once in October and once in May. Daily pass for the public transport included. A no brainer for our future family road trips.

Stayed 4 nights in motorhome. Beautiful site with fantastic view of mountains. Clean washrooms, and nice to have "spare" for when they are closed for cleaning. Great area for recycling, clean water, emptying grey and little tool station for minor repairs (mainly for cycles) Easy to walk to Lake and 1 of the boat stops within 5 minutes. (This stop takes the trip to Mount Pilatus and you can buy reduced cost tickets at reception) Expensive for a day in the lido itself, will stamp your hand to come and go, but nothing really there unless you want volleyball or the beach. Half hour flat walk into Lucerne or can get bus from top of road (10min walk) Campsite give a free pass for use on buses and some boats. Small shop on site and small restaurant and bar. We also did boat to Burgenstock but need to get into Lucerne for this trip. Interesting to note we heard that if your considering buying watches, you'll get a much greater discount in Interlaken!

First come first served, always full with tight pinches a couple of metres away from each other. Facilities are not bad but also crowded. It is pricey because of crowded and almost public. Come for a couple of nights if you could afford the price.

Perfect for our one night stay. Good sized pitch. Facilities are not the most modern but absolutely fine. Great to be close to the Lido and to a ‘dog meadow’ for swimming with the pooch! Easy transport links into Luzern. We managed to get the last ‘on the day’ spot for our stay and we were very thankful for that!

The campsite is in a beautiful location across from the Lake. We were lucky enough to get a space when we arrived. It is in a quiet location, and has great facilities. You can walk to the centre from the campsite along the lake which takes approx 20-30 mins but well worth doing. You also get free bus ticket on arrival, and this was really easy to use and the bus station was at the end of the road. We had an emergency during our stay and the staff were amazing, so thank you to them again! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend this campsite.

We managed to book in advance by email (luzern@camping-international.ch), and this gave such peace of mind that we’d have a pitch that it was worth the banking fee, especially reading the other reviews. The staff are very good and spoke excellent English. The toilets and showers are clean and everything you need. Switzerland is expensive and the other families on the campsite weren’t particularly friendly, but it’s very, very close to the lido (also excellent), and the free local bus travel makes such a difference. We’d definitely go again.
