Camping Koutsounari

The campsite is good. Large and with many places and different options for staying. I was only with a car - the price was 14€ per night. You have everything you need - bathroom, toilet, kitchen, refrigerator, dining room, mini market with various goods. There is also a washing machine that can be used for €5, but you must bring your own detergent. They don't have a restaurant but there is a large selection of taverns around and all excellent. The staff is responsive. I spent 10 nights there and felt more than good. I'm not giving a maximum rating only because the sanitary facilities could be maintained a bit better. There were a series of days when the soap in ran out and no one replenished it. I didn't notice that they were cleaned very thoroughly. But what I liked most was that each of the motorhome parking spaces is surrounded by a screen so that you have your own private space.

Pros: Very nice location and very friendly personnel! Spent 15 days there really nice experience. Very clean and well maintained facilities. The only camping I have visited that has so well defined areas for each tents or caravan. The beach just in front of the camp is excellent Cos: some spots for tents have limited space, strong winds can be an issue but it's typical case in the area

I am deducting one star from this otherwise well-equipped and well-kept camping, because of the hidden costs they spring on you when you check-in. They now charge you extra to use the pool and the beach loungers as well as imposing a compulsory consumption per person. They don't mention anything about these costs in the website, they announce them once you are there, after having made the reservation and paid for it. When I complained (in writing), they replied "Sorry, we have to cover our costs". Apart from that, very good location, fantastic beach and the young people serving at the bar were very nice and friendly.

Low-quality campsite, unfriendly staff, and restricted hours in certain areas like the pool — even though there were very few people that day, we still got kicked out! Our spot was more suited to a summer camp than regular guests, especially considering the campsite’s poor hygiene. I strongly do not recommend it.

We was in a charming little stone house. But also the possibility with small woodscabins to rent, always with a little fridge and tabel, chaises... The area for campervans was excellent—although often quite windy... But it was definitely the better side of the island by the clean water

The staff working at the pool are unpleasant, bitter, and only there to make money; the customer experience is terrible and should be completely avoided. The campsite’s location is horrible due to the very strong wind, which makes both the day and the night very unpleasant. Avoid it — there are much better camping options in Crete.

We stayed at this campsite and were very disappointed. The tent pitch was terrible — it was extremely windy, and tents were literally blowing away. The swimming pool was way too expensive, and to make matters worse, we were asked to leave because they claimed it was “too crowded,” even though there was hardly anyone there.

Excellent Campsite with all the facilities on site. Family business, very well maintained! Pitches are a good size for campers.
