Camping Kovacine

Outstanding camping experience! This is our third year and we continue to look forward to our next visit. Great beach, excellent amenities which are kept clean, walking distance to town, easy access to a market with a bakery, fun activities for all, and incredibly dog friendly (keep your mean dogs at home).

The campsite was decent overall. The swimming pool is really too small for the number of guests. We asked to be far from the main road and got a spacious spot, which was great. The animation team was overly enthusiastic and loud during the day, not our style, but thankfully the nights were quiet and peaceful. Ideal if you like lively daytime activities, but less suited for those looking to relax all day.

Great camping ground with all that you need. From fresh fish markets to dairy markets to fruit and veggie stands, various stands, groceries, bars, restaurants, gym, pool, rent a pretty-much-anything-you-want etc etc. 15min walk from the village of cres. Staff is very accommodating. Huge grounds. Great value for money. Very enjoyable.

Very good campsite, great facilities and beach, but the traffic of scooters and bicycles is very dangerous. No one respects anyone and you need to be very careful not to get run over. The campsite should have warning signs because it is very dangerous and without any control. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation ended up being a huge stress.

This was a really nice campsite. It looked crowded but it never felt that way. The pool was nice and had a small pool bar. The toilets were so clean that you could eat from the floor.

We love this camp! Good service, nice tent places, very nice water and beach!!

Camping Kovačine is for my taste as good as it gets in Croatia. It is a camping spot that has good spots for tents, camping caravans, camper vans and also people that prefer bungalows. It is practically on the beach and it is kids and pets friendly. Camping personnel are polite and ready to help. Last year we forgot keys from the car top carrier and they managed to find us an empty bungalow for a couple of days until we found a way to send keys back to us. Camping spots usually have lots of shade from pine trees. Pine trees also smell good but be aware of pine sap. It is really sticky and hard to clean so having a cover for your car is strongly recommended.

Easy check-in, we came without a reservation and just looked around for a spot, we got one close to facilities and to the beach! We stayed longer than planned, the gravel on the beach makes things a bit easier and bathing shoes are not necessary. There is a 20 min walk to Cres and it’s a beautiful little town with coazy restaurants and small walk ways in the old parts.
