Camping Kovacine

Great camping ground with all that you need. From fresh fish markets to dairy markets to fruit and veggie stands, various stands, groceries, bars, restaurants, gym, pool, rent a pretty-much-anything-you-want etc etc. 15min walk from the village of cres. Staff is very accommodating. Huge grounds. Great value for money. Very enjoyable.

we stayed in a mobile home at the end of June. it was a hot week, and the mobile home was in the clear sun, without any shadow. it was unbearably hot. the air conditioning in the house only worked when the key was in the lock. so the house gets too hot and you can't cool it down. never again. we left the house early because the children got sick. of course they didn't take into account the shorter stay and we had to pay the full price. Otherwise the dog beach is nice, with showers and regularly cleaned. The location is also good for early morning walks (or running) to town. Any time later it’s to crowded (bicycles, scooters,…).

The campsite was decent overall. The swimming pool is really too small for the number of guests. We asked to be far from the main road and got a spacious spot, which was great. The animation team was overly enthusiastic and loud during the day, not our style, but thankfully the nights were quiet and peaceful. Ideal if you like lively daytime activities, but less suited for those looking to relax all day.

Very good campsite, great facilities and beach, but the traffic of scooters and bicycles is very dangerous. No one respects anyone and you need to be very careful not to get run over. The campsite should have warning signs because it is very dangerous and without any control. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation ended up being a huge stress.

This was a really nice campsite. It looked crowded but it never felt that way. The pool was nice and had a small pool bar. The toilets were so clean that you could eat from the floor.

The location, activities, sea are excellent. The cleanliness of the rooms excellent. But the 2 out of 3 bakeries are bad, the mini market has bad vegetables and flies around the bakery products, the restaurants are not that good, the rooms for that amount of money come without even towels, and you might get a good bungalow or a really crappy one. Thus the 3 stars.

Camping Kovačine is for my taste as good as it gets in Croatia. It is a camping spot that has good spots for tents, camping caravans, camper vans and also people that prefer bungalows. It is practically on the beach and it is kids and pets friendly. Camping personnel are polite and ready to help. Last year we forgot keys from the car top carrier and they managed to find us an empty bungalow for a couple of days until we found a way to send keys back to us. Camping spots usually have lots of shade from pine trees. Pine trees also smell good but be aware of pine sap. It is really sticky and hard to clean so having a cover for your car is strongly recommended.

We were there for a few days. Campsite is well situated and even better maintained. Reception staff were quite friendly, cleaning ladies lovely and did their job well, toilets and showers were clean all the time, the cafe at the corner was first place in croatia where they actualy knew how to make coffee. Even with loads of work, they were nice :) The beaches and facilities were really lovely. They even had a shower for dogs!!! :) Thank you all!
