Liked: Really beautiful campsite, with a river running through it, up Valle de Lagos. Staff very friendly and helpful. You can swim in the Lagos - which is about a 2-2.5hr walk up the valley - bit of a slog but well worth the effort. Disliked: Our pitch felt slightly cramped but we were in peak season and they were extremely busy. Not their fault but drive up was VERY steep, and our ‘mature’ van needed to stop for a breather part way up.

Liked: Location, clean toilets and showers Disliked: Lack of facilities in general! Only two toilets for each sex! And no doors! Just curtains .. had two embarressing meets ! We stayed in low season and had to queue! Hate to think what its like when busy. EHU? Some just on bare mud! Horrible! Mud in general ! All over and as result was walked into shower block. A few tons of gravel would make live easier for everyone. Pitches SO close together! We had to move as camper van parked SO close ! NO cooking facilities!! There is a pathetic attempt at a kitchen ( one small electric hob and tiny microwave) All out in the open and wasn’t working! The bar ? Said it would open ( we needed dinner) then closed ! No warning or apology ! Had nothing to eat but thankfully campers gave us some food.

Bad service, good scenery. The campsite is very expensive for what you get; toilets with shower curtains and a lot of rules (signs saying what you cannot do) . Too bad, because the surrounding scenery is beautiful, although there are limited options for hikes. We wanted to stay two nights, but left after 1 night. The money paid for the second night was not refunded.

I think this is a beautiful camping site in a beautiful scenery. The facilities are very clean and modern anfechte showers have a high water pressure which is often not the case at other camping sites. Out of three toilets , there are 2 with a curtain , which is a bit unusual . The showers have a door except for oben. But in the end this is a camping site , anyways I didn’t mind. I also don’t understand, why some say the service was bad. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is also a lovely playground for children. The bar is cute and they offer some food. We had the burger , the cheese plate and the chorizo and liked everything. The price fur food and drink is also fair. I can definitely recommend this place :)

There are also great climbing routes on the rock just behind the camping site. They were very kind to lend me the climbing guide to check the route grades and how to access them.

We spent around three days on the site in our campervan and had the most wonderful and peaceful stay. It was very early in the season(late May) therefore very quiet which was a bonus for us. The staff were very kind and easy going, the location absolutely stunning, and we were lucky to have glorious warm sunny weather, with some evening misty cloud occasionally descending (it’s very high up in the mountains, over 1000 m above sea level). Having a little bar and basic provisions available to buy on site is very helpful and the showers aren’t fancy but were clean and good and there are laundry facilities. We enjoyed the gentle companionship of the neighbouring cattle in the field beside us, and the lovely farm dog and donkey that visited us, and sheep and horses. Kids would love seeing all of those! There’s a picturesque river running alongside the site and beautiful walks from the site further up into the mountains. It was hard to leave as we felt completely at home and welcomed!

Super location and very picturesque. Owners are extremely friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere of the site is welcoming with a pleasant bar, selling a small selection of meals which has seating in and outside. A great location for walks up the mountains directly from the site. We were staying in a camper van with electric hook up. Overall a very peaceful stay - (except for festival weekend in July which goes on all night for two nights!). The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because the toilet blocks could be modernised, however they were clean with plenty of hot water. Would definitely go back.

Liked: Location- absolutely stunning position, nestled between mountains in a designated nature park. The number of wild flowers is extraordinary. It’s a very rural place with cows roaming free, horses, goats etc. Lots of beautiful well marked walks and the local town (3.5km down hill) has a pool and little museum. The campsite has spaces for tents only (no car access) and grass pitches for campervans. They specify nothing longer than 7m which is good advice as the access roads are very tight! They won an award for being the best mountain campsite in Spain and we can understand why. The staff are very kind, helpful and friendly and the general atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Such an amazing place, we stayed longer. Disliked: There was a festival going on up the road, with live music starting at 10pm and finished at 6.18am, for 2 nights! So maybe check if that’s running if you like a really quiet nights sleep! Recycling set up wasn’t clear.
