Camping Lapinkylä Utsjoki Oy

It was a very cool and authentic location in the centre of Utsjoki village. They have plenty of small cabins but we reserved the bigger old and authentic traditional log cabin which had an own bathroom and kitchen. Service was a bit minimalistic and not much contact but everything worked well. The cabin door was a bit drafty.

Normal Finnish camping area with 10 small cottages. Common kitchen and showers. Sauna costs extra. Our kid loved the trampoline. Nice and small camping area. Peaceful too. Shops, grill and pub within 300 meters. Fridge in the cabin. Matresses way too thin. Had to pile them to sleep comfortably. Just what we expected. We enjoyed.

Finished Kevo and I wanted a shower🛁🧼, a steak🥩, and some AC🌬🧊. they were able to help me with 2 of them and pointed me in the right direction for the 3rd. clean, well organised camping offering many amenities i was most impressed with our cabin. knowledgeable friendly staff are typical of most people in Utsjoki. I'm sure all other places in town work as hard but I have to give my nod to Camping Lapinkylä.👍🏽

Camping Lapinkylä is situated in the center of Utsjoki, next to Matkahuolto bus station, only 500 meters from River Tenojoki and Utsjoki hiking routes. They have an old log house, tiny new cabins (cottages), tent sites and caravan sites.||||We stayed in their charming old log house. The price was only 80 euros a night (two people). There are two rooms, a kitchenette and a bathroom in the log house. It can accommodate four people. Pets are allowed. Furniture is old and charming, even two old rocking chairs. The kitchenette includes a fridge, an electric stove, a microwave oven and some dishes.||||The bathroom of the log house is newly renovated. It looks very nice now, but it won't be good very long. There are wood panels but no any shower curtain. So wood parts are wet after taking a shower. Luckily there is a good ventilation and also a good underfloor heating in the bathroom. The water heater is too small. Only one person gets warm water in the shower. Then you have to wait until the heater warms more water.||||The electric heating of the log house is efficient. That is very important, because windows and the door aren't windproof. Soundproofing is quite weak, too.||||We loved this place! It is so historical and charming but still near all services of Utsjoki.

Really basic camping. Pitches are not marked and the fields are not flat. A bit chaotic parking. Toilets and showers are a bit worn out. The kitchen is newly renovated though. Really friendly staff. Big plus that the ’kota’ cabin for bbq includes the wood for your open fire.

Very friendly staff. Great common places and facilities such as sauna, kitchen, and covered grill. Highly recommended campground for any traveler. With easy access to trails, supermarket and gas.

Best place to stay in Utsjoki 10/10

Good basic camping site. No swimming possibility nor great views but hiking trails and services nearby.
