This Women's-only Summer Camp in the French Countryside Had a 10,000-person Waitlist

"An emerging women-only camp set in an aristocratic coastal residence near Cassis in Provence that focuses on a choose-your-own-journey format—guests can sign up for multiple electives or simply relax by the pool. Early attendees, including content creators, praised the mix of activities (horseback riding, baking bread, watercolor classes, and local village excursions), the opportunity to form lasting friendships, and the sense that the stay could be life-changing. The retreats emphasize slow, social, creative experiences in a lavender-scented Mediterranean setting; pricing starts from about €1,999 and typically includes accommodations, meals prepared by a private chef, and electives." - Chrissie McClatchie Chrissie McClatchie Chrissie McClatchie writes about travel, wine, and yachting from her home on the Côte d’Azur, where she has lived for nearly two decades. Her stories have appeared in Condé Nast Traveler, BBC Travel, CNN Travel, and more. She is also a contributing author to four Lonely Planet guidebooks. Travel + Leisure Editorial Guidelines

Normal camping. Great spots with trees around the campground making shadow. Only down part is the showers. They shower you like a fire hose and the water switches from boiling to cold ever 25s.

Lovely campsite! Short walk into town. Lovely views. Sadly no toilet rolls in the toilets though so remember to take your own!

Good location and friendly staff. The bus stop to get to Marseille is just in the front of the camping place. Takes only half an hour. The sanitaires are old but clean, being cleaned two times a day. We had a pitch in the middle and it was really quiet.

Staff are functional but questionable if friendly. Showers have not been upgraded since the 80’s. The toilets for blokes are pretty much all squat, this is 2025 right? Individual sites with some shade and water taps in various locations across site.

All you need is here. It is not modern, but very xlean and very close to tje town centre, by foot or bike, it's the hill that kills ou on the way back. Nice little port and lots to see and eat. Enjoy..

Extended my stay from 1 night to 3 nights. Had a spacious spot for a tent + car and electricity for a reasonable price. Toilets and showers are simple but convenient. Staff was friendly and I enjoyed the location. Centre on walking distance (when you're fit enough), the way back is steep!

Charming, independent campsite a short walk from the amazing port town of Cassis. 20 minutes walk into town, probably twice that on the way back! Or catch abus (m1) at the Casino bus stop in town. Anyway, site well maintained and extremely clean. A small shop selling local produce and a great, typically French bar, where the drinks are cheap and the patron very friendly. There is also a cat. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Yes, they are almost always fully booked by the afternoon (even in October) but it really is a lovely camping once you get in. Very friendly employees, it’s quiet and the hedges provide a nice amount of privacy. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but very clean. Village center a very doable 15-20 min walk away. Would definitely come back and wish we could have stayed longer.
