Camping Los Batanes

Great camping, shadow on all the pitches. The facilities are modern. Well located with beautifull lagoons around. The reception is open even during late hours so it was possible for us to arrive late.

Not quite sure why this place has such good reviews. It wasn't a great experience for us. Firstly it was really expensive, almost twice the price of many places we've stayed at. And when we were there half the site was closed, including the swimming pool. But even then it was a pretty large site (we prefer smallish ones). Couldn't fault the staff, though, and the restaurant food was good, even though the menu was reduced to only about 4 options! I.e. about 15 to 20 options weren't available.

Absolutely fab location, loads to do. The pitches in the area over the bridge were huge, shaded in an open area, but a slight trek to the ablutions which of note was very clean and tidy. Check-in was a lengthy process (4 stars) of form filling and signatures for everyone in the party, not sure why all the info was necessary. The only letdown was the number of campers turning up with dogs, barking and kids running around with them and not clearing up the mess - needs better control, especially throughout the night. Shop, noting it was the beginning of the season wasn't particularly well stocked.

Well maintained campground with a variety of different size plots. The best plots are the ones close to reception since they have the most shade and a little more privacy. If the campground is busy, as it was over the Halloween weekend, you'll likely end up in the more open area with less separation between lots - however they are still a decent size. The location is excellent for hikes around the lagoons, however it's a long way (9 km) from Ruidera and most of the restaurants close by are closed in the low season.

Nice camping with good commodities but we were in a part where everything is crammed together. Plenty of spanish families having a great time here. Unfortunately that also means a lot of noise. We did have plenty of shade so that was nice. The little beach on the right when you leave the camping is a true gem along with the small cliffs surrounding the lake.

We stayed for one night. This area is stunning but we had no idea until we arrived or we'd have planned to stay longer. If you love walking swimming biking, anything outdoors this is heaven. The site is nice, the pitches are a good size and everything is clean, the showers are breath taking! There is a bar/restaurant with very reasonable prices and a mercardo. I have two issues, firstly we paid €25 which included electricity! We didn't need electricity but still had to pay €25!! Why? No electric should be a reduced rate. Secondly, fit that price there should be WiFi. Still it's a quality site in a fantastic location and I probably would stay again.

We stayed there for 2 nights with a Mobile Home. When we arrived they were very helpful stating we could stay for one night to see if we liked it and if we needed to stay for a further night just to pay the next day. The first night we ate in the Restaurant the food and wine was excellent and they put the Rugby World Cup Final on the tv for us to watch. The second night we went into the Restaurant just for drinks. Again very obliging and let us watch the Football game. We found the staff very helpful. The whole experience was lovely and we would not think twice about returning to Los Batanes.

Stayed here on the 18th of May 2023. The camping is very large and uses typical row pitches for all types of camping equipment. The ground is covered with small stones so not very tent-friendly. Pricing is a bit above average but not too expensive. Got to do with the tourist attractions in the area I guess. The reception is very friendly and speaks English very well. The camping has a lot of toilets and showers. The water gets warm really well. The camping has a restaurant and a supermarket as well. When I stayed here there were a lot of younger people camping around which caused a lot of noise until at least 1 o'clock at night.
