After visiting the southern parts of France, my wife and I decided to drive through Switzerland to experience the country. Since we mostly had stayed in hotels over the last two weeks, we decided to go camping. I must admit I was very unsure about the choice due to all the negative experiences from some other visitors. However, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we arrived at the camping a bit late (21.30) The reception was then closed, obviously. But- since there was a telephone number on the reception-wall, I tried to call that number. No answer and no returning call, so we agreed to set up our tent and pay for the stay the next day - as we are used to elsewhere around Europe. Since we discovered that this was a very quiet place, we unpacked everything and mounted our little tent very carefully while actually whispering to make sure not to disturb anybody. Went to sleep at 2200, and all seemed good. Until the next morning… When opening the tent, the lady in the reception called at me, and I went over. I started with a smile, hoping to get a good conversation. But- no. The lady behaved in a very angry matter, yelling at me for entering the camping in the way that we had done. She even implied that we were not normal! Quite a shock! If I was given the chance to explain the late arrival and excuse for not having the possibility to come earlier, i certainly would would have done so. I also explained that we had called the telephone number on the wall. But no- the lady of the camping was very angry and absolutely not in the mood for settlement. Payed 40 euros for the night we spent, and left without any words. Some other camper had heard the rage from the lady in the reception, and he was as shocked as we were! In fact- he was embarrassed for the behavior he had witnessed. It is really pitiful that we were treated the way we were, because despite all the mosquito and the worn- out facilities, i believe we could have had a good experience on this nice place. To all of you who are considering this place; read and trust the other negative reviews and stay away.

I stayed here with my partner for two nights as we read in a brochure about the farm's option of the "hotel mais", which are, literally, beds in a cornfield! Great camping-in-a-bed experience, very unique and memorable.||||Generally very good value for money. ||||We also thought the whole complex (the farm, trampoline, sand pit, table tennis, and the private beach at the lake) is a great place for a family holiday and we vowed to come back one day. The farm is about 10 minutes walk away to the really pretty village estayaver-du-lac which has a lovely medieval, typically Swiss feel to it. Estayaver-du-lac is right by the stunning lake of neuchatel, a paradise for bike rides, walks, and of course swims and all sorts of water sports. Apparently you can do really good water skiing stuff, but we haven't tried it out. ||||We'd highly recommend it if you like nature and camping and friendly surroundings.

We were in this campground and I would not recommend it. It has swiss level prices but very poor services. The worst is the treatment received. If you do not speak French, you run the risk of the staff making fun of you, as it happened to us. There is only one bathroom area, both for women and men, and they are mounted inside a container. The plots are not delimited, like the campsite itself. They have almost nothing to eat. Better to look for an alternative.

This is a wonderful place for relaxed, outside-the-grid holidays! Lots of space between individual sites, so you feel totally free. Very well -kept, well organized, very clean sanitary installations. Personnel very friendly and helpful. We’ll certainly book again!

Nice place, with access to a lake, very welcoming reception, faire prices, hygiène is good, there's also a medieval village 10 minutes walking, but aware of mosquitoes
