This Women's-only Summer Camp in the French Countryside Had a 10,000-person Waitlist

"A women-only summer retreat in the French countryside created as a safe, judgement-free space where guests can relax, be themselves, and form deep connections; it was founded by Philippa Girling after she and her family bought a château in the village of Béduer in the Lot Valley. The camp—which went viral after content creator Allison Wolf posted a reel that has more than 24 million views—offers a pick-and-mix schedule of activities such as yoga, kayaking, horseback riding, cooking, art (including cyanotype printing), jam-making, and Paint n Sip, plus excursions. Attendees sleep in château bunks or glamping tents, sessions are capped at 50 people (drawing solo travelers, friend groups, and mother-daughter duos) and the demographic ranges from people in their 20s to their late 70s, with about 80% from North America. The experience is positioned as immersive and restorative, emphasizing intergenerational conversation and kindness, and has seen intense demand (sold out for 2025, 2026 session release sold out in minutes and large waitlists); a second property in Ariège is planned for 2026. Pricing for a six-day, five-night stay in 2026 is €2,400, which covers accommodations, meals, snacks, beverages, multiple daily electives, and excursions." - Chrissie McClatchie Chrissie McClatchie Chrissie McClatchie writes about travel, wine, and yachting from her home on the Côte d’Azur, where she has lived for nearly two decades. Very nice clean camping ground with swimming pool, bar and snack bar. Friendly welcome, the owner even gave my horse a shower for me after a hot day travelling. Mobile home adequate and well equipped, recommended, will be visiting this campsite again I hope.

We felt ourselves so fortunate to have found this campsite! We had travelled all day looking for a nice site (we looked at 5 and they were various degrees of awful), so by 5pm when we had almost given up looking, we found Camping Pech Ibert and could have cried with relief! It's absolutely wonderful! Florence who greeted us is a lovely lady, who invited us to look around the campsite and take our pick of where to pitch our tent, she was so welcoming! We enjoyed drinks at the patio bar area every evening, the fresh bread and croissants each morning and the wonderful pool, especially as we were there during a very hot spell of weather. The facilities were always immaculately clean, and the whole atmosphere of the site is peaceful. We will definitely go back to Pech Ibert, we loved the area very much so there's lots we want to go back and explore.
