Camping Péguère

We stayed here on Weds and Thursday last week and loved it. Mountains all around and the soothing sound of the river running passed the campsite. Staff were very friendly and helpful and because it was quiet we were able to choose our own pitch to park up which we really appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The camping experience was great, and the location is perfect for hiking in the mountains. The service was excellent, and the owner was very friendly—she even brought us blankets because it was cold at night. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it.

Superb camping next to a river, very clean, great views, super friendly service and not expensive. It is a 1 km walk uphill to a very nice town where you have walking routes, nice restaurants and shops.

I had the pleasure of meeting the famed women you read so much about in the reviews here. She defo is as nice and warm hearted as the people write. She has always a smile reserved for you and tries her best communicatibg even though not speaking the same language. I will not shy back announcibg her to be the nicest person of this town. The campside is also the nicest one of three we checked out in this area, though if you looking for a bungalow better call first, there are only rarely openings. For tent and camper it is well equiped. It's next to the river if fishing is your thing, apart from the river It's quite and though it's half an hour by foot away from the town center, you have an outdoor shop and supermarket 5 minute walk away. If you hike the G10 have a rest here :)

A very nice large Campsite for caravans, motorhome and tents plus some static permanent homes. Large pitches, stunning mountain views, the site is very well kept, clean and tidy. Three toilet blocks all clean and modern. Our car, caravan, 2 people and 10amp cost €20.50 a night in early June 2023. Our pitch had it's own water, grey water waste point and electric. The site is next to a fast flowing river which gives a constant fairly loud white noise. This didn't bother us. Short ish walk into Cauterets which has supermarket shops market bars and restaurants. I recommend this campsite.

Very large pitches, clean toilets and a warm welcome. We asked for directions to go hiking and got a clear explanation. And off course: a magnificent view.

Location was excellent to explore other local villages. |Late afternoons under the shade of a big tree, drinking local red wine and nibbling local cheeses and meats made for a relaxing way to end each day. A cuppa and chat at the local bakery is a must! Their croissants are really yummy too!

Excellent campsite, best we have used so far. Quiet, clean, excellent facilities 👍
