We have mixed feelings after staying for 2 nights in the tent in the Camping Rendez-vous.
Pros:
-outstanding views, comfortable setting for the tents: each tent has it’s own numbered spot, with different levels;
- friendly and helpful staff.
-There are areas, where you can eat your meal under the roof, so called barbecue areas, if it’s raining, that’s great!
Cons:
-the reviews about far location of the bathroom are true. You have to walk up and down the hill rather far if you need to use the bathroom, it’s very inconvenient!
-On the top of the that, you have to pay for the shower! It’s our 5th camping during our trip around Switzerland and the first with paid shower!
- very strange layout of the bathroom.. there are separate cabins for men and women in the toilet area, but there is only 1 sink.
Then, when you enter the separate shower area, there are numerous additional sinks to use. But it seems, that not everyone notices them as there are located behind the door. If you don’t use the paid shower, you simply won’t notice them!
During our stay I saw people brushing their teeth everywhere: on the hill close to the tents, using the sinks where dishes are being washed inside and outside, 3 people were brushing their teeth all at the same time over 1 sink in the toilet area. So maybe it’s a good idea to state that upon the arrival check-in, for people not to be confused.
-again, if you are in the tent, there are not enough parking slots for everyone. They state that there a is additional parking spot down the hill, but you will have to go up and down the hill again. We are not lazy and came to the country to hike, but you can imagine that after a long day hiking to continue going up and down, it’s not something to enjoy.
- stated WiFi works only around reception area, it does not cover tent places.
