We spent a couple of nights at this nice little site. It is in a great location right next to the cable car for Oeschinensee and only a few minutes walk in to the town. The facilities are good, once you get the hang of the automatic lights that have a habit of switching off when you are in the middle of something!

Like many others have said before, the owner is a horrible person. I would not recommend anyone to go to this camping. After spending 3 amazing nights in a nearby farm, so drove to this campsite to ask for emptying the black water. We drove into the campsite and walked around the reception area for 10 minutes trying to find staff, but it was not possible. We localized the place for emptying black water, it was around the back and available for entrance from outside the camping grounds. We figured this was to make it easier for non-guests to also use the service. After finishing, this arrogant man approach us with an aggressive attitude, we said that we tried to find him and we are happy to pay for the service. So he asks us for 40 Franc (equivalent of 1 night stay). Then I understood what kind of man this is, he also made it clear that he saw us looking for him at the reception, but chose not to help us. Basically waiting for us to use the service so he can approach us like criminals and ask for an outrageous fee. He then continued to block our camper, sitting on the hood, filming us and the car, screaming that we are liars, and making us unable to escape this hostile situation. Outrageous behavior and a very sad way to end a beautiful week in Switzerland.

We stayed here for 1 week in August and had a really nice thing going. The camp site has spectacular views across the mountains. The owner is very friendly and helpful, particularly when you follow the site rules which are there for the benefit of all campers and neighbours. Whilst there are only two showers per gender, and these cost 1Fr/3min, we rarely had a queue and since the showers pause to allow you to soap up, 3min seemed more than sufficient. There is wifi around the toilet block, a picnic area and a freezer for ice blocks. We ordered fresh bread/croissants for a morning and the on-site shop & restaurant were handy.

An absolutely idyllic setting for a well maintained campsite. Fresh bread in the morning was delicious, both owners were really kind and accommodating and the views were just amazing. P.S be careful to check your van/car before you leave as they have quite a friendly cat 🙂

We had a lovely stay at camping rendezvous. We arrived with just a tent from the train station and they have a late arrival policy, endlessly helpful and kind. The site is well run and clean. There is a shared indoor room with tables and benches, good showers (paid extra) and small playground. The site is terraced and pitches can be close but is a friendly atmosphere. Location is 15-20min walk from the train station and town, and right at the bottom of the Oeschinensee cable car. We’d definitely be back.

The campsite has all the necessary facilities. Beautiful views and a nice lawn for pitching a tent. It’s also great that the tents aren’t packed too closely together. The downside is that getting from the toilet to the tent felt like a proper hike. It’s not ideal when the only bathroom is located at the very beginning of the campsite — it would be much more convenient if it were placed in the middle, or if there were multiple facilities available.

We stayed 1 night with our camper van, location was ok, the staff is very welcoming, the only two things you need to know about: you cannot book a pitch in advance if you stay for only one or two nights (it’s written on their website) and you need to pay 1chf per shower. You can order bread for the following morning which is nice.

We stayed one night in a tent at Camping Rendez-Vous and really enjoyed it. The camping area was spacious, and parking was conveniently located just in front of our spot. The bathrooms were clean, and the shower required a payment of 1 CHF for 3 minutes of use. The campsite is close to the cable car that takes you up to Lake Oeschinensee, perfect for a quick day trip. The staff were friendly and helpful — we even arranged fresh baked bread for the next morning by talking with them. The views were incredible, and the atmosphere was peaceful and close to nature. Highly recommend for a relaxing short stay!
