I came here with high expectations, remembering this place as a camping jewel in the Dolomites from 10 years ago. Unfortunately, it feels like time has stopped—maintenance and upgrades aren’t a priority. The toilet block looks new but is too small for the number of guests, and finding toilets out of paper at 7:50 AM was disappointing. Out of the three campgrounds we visited this week, this was the dirtiest in terms of toilets. The minimarket was poorly stocked, with many empty shelves (though it’s nice they let guests use the freezer).
The minimarket is rather poorly stocked with lots of empty shelves, but it’s nice they allow guests to use their freezer.
The restaurant seems to have kept the same high standard.
We wanted to rent bikes here, but to be honest, the 6PM deadline for returning the bikes along with the 12 euro requested for insurance, added to the 69 base fee, made us think twice. We found a more convenient option 5 minutes by car, at a specialized bike shop with good reviews.
Check out at 10:00 AM is kind of harsh for a camping, considering how much work is to be done before being ready to leave.
The best part is the location, near the forest where you can hear reindeers at night.
