A nice camping spot in the center of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The owner is a very good host. The view could have been better but is covered by nearby trees. Anyway, we had a good overnight stay and fully enjoyed the amenities (hot water, electrical box next to each camping parcel etc).

Small camping by the road near the village of Trevélez. Utilities building is small and in the lower camping level, at the caravans area, a bit far from the upper camping area. It has a small but deep (1'70 m) swimming pool, adequate for the camping if not too busy. It has a nice bar-restaurant with terrace over the valley. Not a big amount of meals, but enough for a change. Staff is helpful and nice. Camping is connected to village through a footpath.

Liked: Friendly check in service, all amenities explained, the site has terraces offering a good amount of shade & grass pitches for tents. Toilets/shower block easily accessed & nearby, clean with plenty of hot water. The site offers some food options and has a good swimming pool. Trevelez is a 10 minute walk away. The site was very quiet, however it was mid September. Disliked: Nothing, would recommend and stay again.

Amazing camping place with good service. Only crux being, you choose to be close to bathrooms OR you get good views. Me, nivel 5 with the best views of the valley was a no thinker. Amazing starlight/moonlight. Service is simple but very good, everything you need. Lady at reception was super helpful and pretty much a mountain guide on her own.

We’ve had a very nice stay at the camping grounds. The owners are very friendly and always available for advice or a recommendation. They are in a nice area that’s perfect if you love hiking or ham (as Trevelez is known for its ham). From the camping grounds there is a short cut to the village avoiding the main road if you are on food. Some of the Bungalows appear to be very new and modern. 1 star deduced since the showers and toilets, while clean enough, appear to be quiet old and are in definite need of a renovation

An absolute fantastic experience. It is a very large and spread out campground. High up in the mountains, so the nights get pretty cool. Trees, hiking, a small town nearby, extremely clean bathrooms and showers, a small swimming pool, everything you could ask for. Absolutely loved it.

I have just spent 12 wonderful days staying in a cosy cabin at this wonderful, quaint, clean and tidy campsite. Run by a lovely family and backed up with a couple of equally lovely staff, I was made to feel at home with all my needs met with courteousness. ||I had no need to walk to the village for my evening meal after a great day’s walk up in the hills or along the GR7, as the food and service provided in the restaurant was excellent. I enjoyed the views of the village of Trevelez, and the valley and hills beyond as I ate my meals, which were washed down with a beer and a couple of glasses of wine of course.||All concerned with the running and managing of the campsite were full of knowledge in all aspects, and were very happy to pass this on. I was made to feel at home and I was always met with a greeting and a smile from them. ||I found campsite the very quiet and was perfect for my needs in every aspect. The swimming pool was a welcome change when on my rest days off the hills and trails. ||Thank you all concerned with the managing and the running of the campsite for making my holiday an even better enjoyable experience.

TRANQUILITY–that’s Camping Trevelez in a word. And what’s to like about this camping site? The near-wild nature of the campground and the views of tranquility of the village in the distance and the mountains surrounding it. At 1,560 meters above sea level in the Sierra Nevada of Granada, this might be the highest camping site we have pitched our tent at. A unique feature of this camping site is “terraced-camping” with 4 levels of camping places. Yup, lots of walking here, up and down and all around. Heck, even going to the bathroom was an adventure! Enjoy. BIG SMILE! 🙂 🤪🙃😉
