I camped in a van, booked 1 night, stayed 2, with my dogs - very easy to find, very friendly welcome, excellent electric every few slots, and nice rambles for the dogs - someone younger, or stronger on uphills, could have taken them far further afield, we enjoyed what we experienced. The views on the drive both ways were awesome, despite having to keep both eyes on the road as there are hairpin bends galore. I went in July to escape the high summer temperatures nearer the coast and it was lovely during the day, cooling by 9 pm and a jacket needed at night - perfect. Facilities were good, showers had excellent hot water, I mainly self-catered but enjoyed a good breakfast on Sunday morning (the dogs were allowed, and stayed quietly under the table). I've only given location 4 stars as getting there was a little more challenging than expected, 5 stars would have made it sound too easy. It is a beautiful setting and as an experience it was everything I had wanted. The photo used was from the top of the row on Monday morning. There were more vehicles and tents on Saturday night, but the generous layout allowed space and privacy.

I loved this camping! The placements are nice and big and the camping is quiet. The view is amazing. You can see the village trevelez 2 km down the road. The pool is clean, the water is a but cold which is nice in the August heat. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are always available. The staff is super nice and Tommy is the adorable mascotte of the campsite Bonus: bread can be dry in Spain, but not here! The delicious baguettes are baked fresh every day by the French owner.

Liked: Very nice friendly staff. The facilities are basic but all functional. The shower had lots of hot water. Close to the town of Trevelez which is very nice. Close to lots of walks. Disliked: There was only wifi at the reception area.

Liked: I booked my site at Treveléz from the highway between Spain and Portugal (where I live) as I realized that it was more than 2 hours to get to the camp site and I would be arriving late. The road took me over the Sierra Nevada mountains past a ski slope and kids throwing snow balls then down a long, narrow and winding road through a valley and then back up to the town of Treveléz - reputed to be the highest town in Spain - through numerous other villages perched on the side of the mountain. Eventually I arrived at the camp site and was greeted by a very friendly french guy who is the manager of the site. The camp site is on a steep hill with various levels. I eventually chose the top level (5) which had the best views and the best camping sites - although a fair distance from the facilites. Of course, visiting a camp site in winter surrounded by snow capped mountains meant cold weather and it was already late. Prior to my arrival, I had (with some difficulty!) found some suitable food in the town which I then settled down to cook (sadly no braais allowed as it’s in a national park) with a well-earned beer. After a cold night, the sun was a welcome addition the next morning and after breakfast, I set off for a walk. The walk from the camp site is 2km and then you follow the signs to the high point and view of the town which provides a great view of the surroundings. Next, I looked for a short hike and finally settled for the start of the most famous walk which is called the 'Seite Lagunas' which means 7 lagoons or lakes. I walked uphill for an hour and suitably exhausted enjoyed that stunning views of the town and the Treveléz river valley. The full walk is 17km there and back and you go uphill for 1500m! I would need a full day for that. I had planned to walk to the river from the town after that but that, too would have been a lot of up and down that there was still the 2km back to camp. Returned and enjoyed the views over a beer for a while before making some food and settling in for the night. Next day was equally beautiful, but I had to head the 700km back to the Algarve. Easier said than done. After packing up and ready to go, turning the car key revealed what we all dread - no power. I took the trek down to the office to see what my options were. No local mechanic - nearest was in a town many Kms away. This is were true service shows itself! The manager came up to the camp site with his jumper cables and we tried for a while to start the car. He then went back down and returned with an extention cable and turned on the closest power point so that I could hook up my charger. 45 minutes was enough to get the car started so I am eternally thankful for his excellent service. People like this aren't easy to find.

A nice camping spot in the center of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The owner is a very good host. The view could have been better but is covered by nearby trees. Anyway, we had a good overnight stay and fully enjoyed the amenities (hot water, electrical box next to each camping parcel etc).

Mountain feeling, nice pitches, everything ok, what you need. 7m50 max I put a review because it's a must do.

Small camping by the road near the village of Trevélez. Utilities building is small and in the lower camping level, at the caravans area, a bit far from the upper camping area. It has a small but deep (1'70 m) swimming pool, adequate for the camping if not too busy. It has a nice bar-restaurant with terrace over the valley. Not a big amount of meals, but enough for a change. Staff is helpful and nice. Camping is connected to village through a footpath.

Liked: Friendly check in service, all amenities explained, the site has terraces offering a good amount of shade & grass pitches for tents. Toilets/shower block easily accessed & nearby, clean with plenty of hot water. The site offers some food options and has a good swimming pool. Trevelez is a 10 minute walk away. The site was very quiet, however it was mid September. Disliked: Nothing, would recommend and stay again.
