It's a lovely camp situated in a good spot. It's a busy camp next to a city but it still has that peaceful environment in nature that campers are used too. My only complaint would be that the shower was cold every time I used it but it's summer so it's not too much of a problem!

Stayed at this well maintained and clean campsite with our motorhome. Friendly staff. Great location. Signage to the campsite could be improved though. Pitches not huge but okay. Hot water & body wash in the showers, liquid soap at the basins & toilet paper in the toilets - luxury! Campsite is only a 10 minute cycle ride to get on the free ferry across the river to Amsterdam (near the train station) Ferry every 3 mins up to 12 midnight - great service. Would recommend this campsite!

Great camping, very quiet (nothing prevented us from sleeping well) and green; good location: 10 minutes by bicycle and 5 minutes ferry to the center of Amsterdam. I was impressed by the fully automated check-in and check-out procedure - I did not need to visit reception not even once! The only, but quite serious disadvantage is that showers are closed from 1AM to 6AM - in case you like to enjoy Amsterdam till late night, like we did, you won't be able to take a shower.

I was there mit my RV. The sites are pretty close to each other, but this was fine as the neighbours were very considerate. It was silent after 11 PM. Sanitary Installations we're clean and there were showers available instantly both times I needed one.||There's a cafe with great breakfast in site and you can also have lunch/dinner.||The ferry to the city ist about 20 minutes in foot or maybe 5-10 minutes by bike. The ferry ist free of charge and takes you to the Centraal Station from where the city centre is only a short walk away.||Check-In and Check-Out was easy as I had my number plate registered before. You can then immediately drive onto the site and go to your booked place.||All in all a lovely experience at Camping Vliegenbos.

A surprisingly green and calm environment given where it is geographically located, this site is one I would return to. The proximity to the free ferry to the centre of Amsterdam, the excellent on-site facilities (super clean showers, toilets etc.) including the café and laundry, and being next to a public park/woodland for walking the dog, are the key reasons.|It is quite a densely packed site, so there is competition for the motorhome service point at times of the day, and the Wifi really doesn't work well at all, slow and patchy most of the day - mobile signals were good though, so we had a fallback. Despite how busy it was, it wasn't noisy.

Quiet and family friendly. Clean and well organised with friendly staff. Short metro ride from the central station but recommend renting bikes from the site and cycling into town using the free ferry. Recommend a visit to Straat and cycling to the the cafe in Twiske.

Lovely, clean and peaceful campsite. The cabin we stayed in had everything we needed, the price was very good, most hotels nearby are almost double the price so if you’re staying in Amsterdam for a few days then this place is perfect. The ferry is a 20 minute walk and the train station is a 10 minute walk from the campsite if you want to get into the city centre. The staff were friendly and the cafe was great. Will be coming back again.

We had a fantastic stay at this campsite in Amsterdam. The site itself is clean, well laid out, and offers excellent facilities, making it a very comfortable base for exploring the city. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with any questions or local tips. One really useful point for anyone travelling with dogs: there’s a vet close by, which is perfect if you need to deal with any emergencies or get your pet’s worming treatment sorted before returning to the UK. The location is brilliant too—just a 15-minute walk to the free ferry that takes you straight into Amsterdam Central. All in all, a great spot that I’d happily recommend to anyone visiting with or without pets.
