What a lovely campsite, great facilities and friendly staff. We travelled with my son and his family and hired one of the premium accommodations that had 2 modules which was perfect, the grandparents had some privacy as did the young family. The accommodation was clean and well equipped with a covered outside eating area seating 8, with a barbecue, a clothes drier, and a small table with chairs in the uncovered area. The swimming pool complex is absolutely great our granddaughter loved it, indoor pools, outdoor pools, a slide etc, perfect for the vagaries of the Normandy weather. The children’s play area was great, again our granddaughter loved it. The whole site is lovely, just to walk around the lakes and then walk the coastal path to Port en Bessin — just lovely. We were sorry to miss the fireworks, it was a bit too late for the kids. We found the restaurant fine we ate there 3 times, however, my daughter in law felt the kids menu could have had some more choice. Loved walking at 8 am to purchase the freshly baked croissants and baguettes.|We did this sort of holiday when our kids were small and had forgotten how much we enjoyed it, not having to dress for dinner or be tied into specific meal times etc. We didn’t need evening entertainment as our grandchildren are young, but I imagine older children may need more to do in the evening although there were activities for teens. The entertainment team worked hard and were friendly and enthusiastic our granddaughter did a day with the mini club and enjoyed herself. Our granddaughter has previously loved the mini disco in hotels we’ve visited so we were pleased to see a mini disco, but it was only for 30 mins at 5:30pm and was in the pool — it was mayhem, I found it hard to keep our 5 year old safe as older kids were going mad, however, she enjoyed it. All in all it was great, a combination of relaxation with some visits to the d-day beaches and Bayeux.

We camped on the premium pitch and it was perfect. The staff were amazing and went out of there way to help and check you were okay. ||The site was spectacular, the ground staff were always around doing maintenance and cleaning, everything felt brand new. ||Great pool and facilities. We loved getting involved with sports tournaments and events. So much to stuff to get involved with. ||Huge shout-out to Timo and the entertainment team. They were incredibly friendly, remembered who we were and just put so much energy into every activity they ran. They were so good with our kids. Thanks guys for making our trip really special

We had pitch with a private toilet and shower. This was so awesome!! The entire camping place was newly built, is very green, provides a lot of shadow for sunny days and is taken well of. The kids enjoyed the huge and adventurous playground and the very newly built swimming area. The staff was so kind everywhere. The best stay we had in our entire camping career. Worth every euro! The only thing which needs to improved is the relatively Bad wifi connection, which was impossible to use when many people used it. The mobile network connectivity in the area was also bad, which was a challenge sometimes.

We have just returned from a 1 week stay in this campsite and we loved every moment of it. We stayed in a Premium Nautilhome 2 bedroom and it was clean, well positioned and a good size. The pools are beautiful, a good tip is to go early in the day and it's less crowded. Although the campsite was booked out it didn't feel overrun and could easily hold all the campers. On Friday evenings in July & August the local town Port en Bessin has fireworks and everyone on the campsite walked down the greenway that runs along behind the campsite to the cliff edge to watch the fireworks which was a lovely experience. I have 2 young teenagers and each evening the campsite had meet ups for the teenagers with different games and activities which they thoroughly enjoyed. We will without doubt return next summer and we would love to say Thank You to all the staff at Camping Portland for their hard work and dedication especially the guys running the activities. See you in 2026 from the family in O-82

We booked a serviced pitch with private sanitary facilities for our caravan. iIt was a wonderful campsite, with a warm welcome. The sanitary facilities were spotless and the pitch huge, with extra touches like a private BBQ, drying rack and free wifi. It was expensive but definitely worth it. They had a great pool and lovely restaurant but we were not there long enough to use either, but looked superb.

A real luxury campsite, they are not lying when they say it’s five star. It exceeded all of our expectations. The pictures were lovely. The VIP pitches with the ensuite shower and toilet enclosures are absolutely lovely. The site is So well kept to maintained At the indoor pool area is like a five star UK spa experience. It’s absolutely beautiful. Think centre parks quality of not better! Centre parks with a luxury 5 star free pool and jacuzzi complex

Absolutely a wonderful site, very well kept, fantastic if you have children lots for them to do. You can walk into the harbour in less than 20 minutes, where there are cafes, restaurants and ice cream . We booked a premier pitch which had its own bathroom and washing up area, the pitches are very large and come with a covered picnic table. The husband was made- up to go fishing twice a day and caught some lovely carp, will definitely be back.

We loved this site, we've been to Port en Bessin before and this was a great base for the area. The site is beautifully landscaped, with so many birds around. The new pool complex is lovely, although got busy in the afternoons. We used the onsite restaurant and bar quite a bit. It was great having a BBQ with the chalet, although the charcoal was a faff - we've had gas before. But such a tiny detail didn't matter on what was a great week away - even the couple of rainy days were still brilliant.
