What a lovely campsite, great facilities and friendly staff. We travelled with my son and his family and hired one of the premium accommodations that had 2 modules which was perfect, the grandparents had some privacy as did the young family. The accommodation was clean and well equipped with a covered outside eating area seating 8, with a barbecue, a clothes drier, and a small table with chairs in the uncovered area. The swimming pool complex is absolutely great our granddaughter loved it, indoor pools, outdoor pools, a slide etc, perfect for the vagaries of the Normandy weather. The children’s play area was great, again our granddaughter loved it. The whole site is lovely, just to walk around the lakes and then walk the coastal path to Port en Bessin — just lovely. We were sorry to miss the fireworks, it was a bit too late for the kids. We found the restaurant fine we ate there 3 times, however, my daughter in law felt the kids menu could have had some more choice. Loved walking at 8 am to purchase the freshly baked croissants and baguettes.|We did this sort of holiday when our kids were small and had forgotten how much we enjoyed it, not having to dress for dinner or be tied into specific meal times etc. We didn’t need evening entertainment as our grandchildren are young, but I imagine older children may need more to do in the evening although there were activities for teens. The entertainment team worked hard and were friendly and enthusiastic our granddaughter did a day with the mini club and enjoyed herself. Our granddaughter has previously loved the mini disco in hotels we’ve visited so we were pleased to see a mini disco, but it was only for 30 mins at 5:30pm and was in the pool — it was mayhem, I found it hard to keep our 5 year old safe as older kids were going mad, however, she enjoyed it. All in all it was great, a combination of relaxation with some visits to the d-day beaches and Bayeux.
