Cool caravan holidays to bring the family on - SilverKris

"Stay warm and luxurious in an Elemment Palazzo Superior unit, which offers underfloor heating, sumptuous leather seating, a king-size bed, rain shower and even a wine cabinet—making it a pampered base for visiting Munich, especially during Oktoberfest when sites fill up quickly. For scenic drives, head four hours west into the Black Forest to explore quaint villages and local cake specialties, or travel a couple of hours east across the border to Salzburg to admire its preserved baroque architecture and join one of the Sound of Music tours." - SilverKris

If you're traveling by camper and want to visit Munich, and the Allianz Arena RV area is unavailable, this campground is a reasonable fallback. Its location is excellent for public transportation and it's right next to the beautiful Isar river park. That said, despite prices being on par with other well-regarded campgrounds, the overall organization and facilities leave much to be desired. It's clear that the site is undergoing extensive renovations, but in my opinion, what's really needed is a change in management approach. There is no registration of vehicle plates or camper location upon arrival. The bathrooms, as can be seen in the photos, are generally dirty and uncomfortable. Showers are not included in the nightly rate and require purchasing tokens at €2.20 each. In the evening, guests struggled to find a way to turn on the lights in one of the two bathrooms. Some pitches had a faucet and drain, yet signs around the campground indicated that grey water disposal was currently unavailable. The chemical toilet disposal station was basic but functional. There were bins for general waste and cardboard, but no bags were provided, and in practice, recycling was not enforced or respected. In short, the campground has great potential due to its location, but the current level of service is far below what one would expect at this price point. Much improvement is needed.

Great spot to visit Munich. Currently main section is being renovated! Back section 42e per night with no hot water . Showers all pay extra and then no internet. Unloved , track paths , and when the wind blew , you were covered in dust! Only 2 of the ladies toilets flushed ! Desperately need a up grading . Pay for showers 2e drips! No light in the men’s 😂 needs a lot of TLC Most expensive site in Germany for us and the worst !

Disappointing, do not visit until renovations are complete. It is a building site. Toilet block is open but run down and dirty. No food or drink onsite. Camping pitch full of stones, almost impossible to get pegs in. Location is very good, 10 min walk to the nearest U Bahn and bus stop at entrance. I imagine it will be great once finished. Planned to stay 2 nights and decided to only stay for one. Received a refund without any problems.

Avoid at any costs. It is terrible, the bathrooms are disgusting, warm water is payed extra, and the showers are dirty, old and terrible, the staff is unhelpful and lacking in sympathy. Someone was cutting the grass while we were having breakfast, covering us in smoke and cut grass. If you want to stay in Munich, choose somewhere else.

Visited 25 years ago and it was an excellent site||Visited today an absolute sh** tip like a gypsy encampment !||€96 euros for 2 nights for a couples€2.30 for every shower and 50c for dishwashing ||Munich you should be ashamed of yourself ripping people off until the site is fully serviceable.||An absolute dump !

This is a campsite, located right next to a beautiful open park on the river!! Over oktoberfest, as imaginable, the campsite is full and quite the party!! So be prepared for a good, loud time! The bar on the campsite is fantastic, good drinks and good food! The campsite is also super well located, only 15min away from the Oktoberfest festival grounds!

A lot of negative reviews for this camping posted on Oktoberfest and it is understandable :). We camped here in july and it was very nice. The camp site is very large, no reservation needed. Hellabrunn Zoo and U-bahn at 15 min walk through the park. The only cons is regarding the sanitary facilities, they are old, unrenovated but clean, you have to pay for hot shower.

It only gets a 1 because I need to rate it to leave a review. Horrible service, poor facilities mostly broken, most expensive park we stayed at yet had to pay for everything there eg hot water, grey water. Cash only for the entire park. Totally run down and very noisy due to all the young drunk tent city people. Total disappointment given all the other parks we visited over Germany. Pictures do not reflect the place don’t be sucked in by them. PS take your own toilet paper as that’s not supplied either!
