Campioni Pizza Birra & Tapas

In downtown Ponce, there are few places open in the afternoon. I decided to give Campioni a try, and I was very happy I did. I actually didn't want pizza, and I was able to order grilled chicken over mixed greens--muy deliciousa! I would recommend it as a place to take a rest, have a quick bite, and enjoy the excellent and attentive service.

The food and drinks were great! I would frequent this restaurant. Their staff was kind, friendly, and accommodating. Grateful for the opportunity to eat here. The seating arrangements and lighting were comfortable. Whether you would like to drink and socialize or have an intimate meal and conversation.

There was no waiting time, which was great, and the waitress was excellent—friendly, attentive, and very pleasant throughout our visit. The bruschetta appetizer wasn’t exactly as advertised. While it had a good taste, it wasn’t anything outstanding. On the other hand, the pizza was great—very flavorful, well prepared, and the large size was enough for four people, which was a big plus. Overall, a good experience with strong service and a standout main dish. I would come back, especially for the pizza.

Got the Guava pizza. Definitely on the sweet side so keep that in mind. But delicious. I don't recommend the chorizo appetizer too much. But it did taste delicious just a lot and I mean ALOT of grease. Service was very inattentive but not bad.

We went on vacation to Ponce and want it yo visit a different place to eat. We saw on Instagram this pizza place, and went for lunch. Love the structure of the restaurant, the food was great, and the service was excellent! We sat at the bar and asked for recommendations to eat and to drink, the bartender (was great) gave us recommendations and we accepted. Pesto pizza and Green Sangria, It was delicious! Recommend 100%. No parking avaliable.

Very Disappointing Experience The pizza we received was cold, and the cheese wasn’t even melted. The medallas we ordered weren’t cold either. Overall, the pizza was extremely disappointing. We’ve been here before and it was okay, but this time the quality was terrible. We honestly suggest trying another pizza place in Ponce—there are much better options. It’s a shame, because the location is great, but the service and quality have gone downhill. It really feels like this place needs new management that knows how to run a restaurant.

Food (5/5 stars): We had a great lunch at Campioni Pizza, Birra & Tapas. Ryan got the Four Cheese and I got the Gaucho, which was apparently an award-winning pizza! The highlight of the Gaucho was obviously the churrasco (skirt steak). I mean, come on, steak on pizza? How have I never had this genius idea before? It was an excellent pizza overall. If I had to change one thing, I'd want a thicker crust. Highly recommend! I know they tried, and I had it delivered to my Airbnb. It was ordered via Doordash. They need to realize that people who order online and get it delivered know how to use Yelp also. The crust was as hard as a rock. The flavors were not really coming out, and some toppings were still cold. I can make a supermarket freezer thin-crust pizza taste better than that. Sorry.

Nice and trendy restaurant in downtown Ponce. The menu has something for everyone and the staff will make accommodations as necessary. The food is eclectic, fresh and plated beautifully. I ordered the bruschetta with prosciutto and it arrived in a beautiful yower. We got two different pizzas to try and my favorite was the Espanol pizza. The servings are large so make sure to come hungry. The prices are very reasonable and I would be glad to come here again when back in town. The virgin strawberry daiquiri really hit the spot on a warm day.

Easy going delicious pizza place. Some fun pizza combinations. We ordered the cauliflower crust(gluten free) and shared.

Great pizza place. Food was really good service was excellent and the ambiance was equally good. My second time and the experience was just as good as my previous visit. Highly recommend Campioni's pizza if you're in the area.

Best pizza in Ponce hands down. Thin crisp crust. Nice craft cocktails and a fun design. They have a nice variety of unique pies.

I'm not sure where to start. Sampled several pizzas. Thin crust, crunchy like a cracker. Chicken Bacon Ranch, Margarita, International , Píonono, Gaucho. Maybe the best I've ever had. Don't leave this area without stopping here. Shout out to Obed!!! The one thing that made this visit better was the phenomenon service.

Nice family style vibe. We had the mushroom pizza. It was pretty good but I was craving more mushrooms and less onions as well as more of the wood fired taste. I still enjoyed it. Service was great. I ordered a Moscow mule as well and it was good.

Every time my family travels to Puerto Rico, this is must every single time. We have all agreed that the pionono pizza has to be the best we've had. This place does not disappoint.

Nice vibes !! But the margarita pizza was not so good definitely needed some more favor and the crust needed to be crunchier and the salad needed some other dressing other than olive oil. The sangria was pretty good . Service was on point after having some Great food the past few days it was a let down but not every place can be a 5.

Nicely decorated and well kept. The food was a mixed bag. Their garlic notes were okay, but the pizza was delicious. If you're a fan of a thin crust, this is the place for you. We had a very basic Clásica pizza with pepperoni. It was fantastic, perfect blend of cheese, sauce, and topping. Service was good and friendly. I highly recommend this pizza place when visiting Ponce.

Excellent service at an old fashioned style restaurant. Brick oven pizza delicious with lots of signature combinations. Infinite soda and great appetizer options. We were a group of 11 and they were pretty fast on a Sunday night. Location: close to "El Parque de Bombas en Ponce". We all were very pleased with out selections.

It exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The menu offered a delightful variety, and each dish was a masterpiece in taste and presentation. The service that our waiter Harold gave us was impeccable.

Maybe my expectations are very high but I was sadly disappointed with this pizza. In the states Domino's pizza is better and I don't even order domino's The bartender was really friendly but expect to wait for menus, drinks, and food ( we call it island time) For food we ordered: Margarita pizza w/ prosciutto ( the prosciutto tasted way too salty and wasn't cut thin )

Nice spot for tasty wood-fired pizzas. Nice ambiance and the courtyard suited our entire family.

Quick seating. Attentive waiter. Those were the only two positives of the experience. Meatballs appetizer was very dry and over cooked. Margarita pizza was sparse with tomatoes and the menu stated fresh basil, but was actually sprinkled dry Italian seasoning. Pizza tasted like overly dry bread sticks with slices of warm tomato on top. Salad ordered without onions or cheese, came with both. Throughout dinner, cigarette smoke smell throughout restaurant from people smoking on the patio with door open. Overall just a bad experience.

This restaurant is located in the heart of Ponce. Got many recommendations so decided to try. It seems to be very popular but we got there after the dinner crowd rush. We ordered the Quattro Formaggio pizza Regular goes around $14 and large around $18) and rigatoni with chicken and pink sauce. They cook the pizza in a wood burning oven. The crust was thin and crunchy, the combination cheeses which included goat cheese was superb. The pasta was a big hit as well. Staff waa friendly and answered all our questions. We didn't have any drinks just a vurgum piña colada and it was very well done we now have a new pizza join when returning to this area. It totally worth it.

Very good pizza place service wood fire pizza and good selection of drinks! The pizza we had was very delicious with the right crispy notes due to the amazingly thin crust.

Great food and accommodating service. If you're looking for gluten-free pizza, this is a nice spot to eat at. I got the margharita cauliflower crust and it was pretty tasty!

We love the pizza here, especially good for takeout. We usually get one with maduros and sausage, and it is particularly special (especially with a nice glass of red wine!).

The best gourmet pizza in Ponce! The crust is crispy but soft in the center... the topping combinations were incredibly good. The sangria was to die for! Highly recommend for a night out with your girls!

Monday nights can be a rough time while on vacation. You're all rarin' up to do something and the town is as quiet as a mouse. So our happiness was immediate when we saw the bright-lit exterior of Campioni. The restaurant was packed and the bar just happened to have 3 spots available. Perfect. When in PR, Sangria is so prevalent--like iced tea's the house wine of the South--so try different ones when you're here. Even the Capris Sun-esque packets of sangria are good (Palo Ready brand was our favorite.) We all started with a green Sangria and it was fruity and sweet--good! Their beer selection is interesting and varied so we hopped on that boat too. I only wish we got to try the food! We were full of mofongo from our earlier meal but as food like pizza passed by me, I'll say that it looked legit. From the bar we moved outside to the tables there. Ahhh it's so nice to sit outside in warm air in the middle of February! The service was really awesome all night. And when we shut the bar down, no 'Closing Time' blared on the speakers, nice.

Not good... I order by Luncheras delivery at 4:30pm and received that order at 9:30pm... 5 hours later... they send us 2 heinekins as recompense for the 5 hours wait... insted of beer why not half off... or throw in some more food...because $25 for 2 personal pizzas... like that is not cheap.... I dont think Ill be eating thier no time soon... im giving 1 star... because I hit it by mistake and cant take it back, without starting over...

We were on our way back to San Juan we were at Buye beach we stopped by here decided to give it a chance since there wasn't much reviews but it was a great spot we got sat down quickly tried there green sangria it was good food was great and area was very cute !

Nothing remarkable about this restaurant nothing fresh except vegetables. Everything else was frozen The pizza came out crust Burnt (black) frozen crusts The marinated olives were marinated in their own juice from the jar. Their garlic knots came out cold served with water down tomato paste. Nothing to write home about the service they were waitresses and that's about it. So unless you're desperately hungry I would pass on this restaurant. Sorry folks. Nada extraordinario sobre este restaurante en absoluto. La pizza salió con corteza Cortezas frisan quemadas (negras) Las aceitunas marinadas fueron marinadas en su propio jugo del frasco. Y la chica de la noche salió fría servida con agua por pasta de tomate. Nada que destacar sobre el servicio que fueron camareras y eso es todo. Así que, a menos que esté desesperadamente hambriento, dejaría de lado este restaurante. Lo siento amigos.

Amazing pizza ,drinks and the staff . It's very easy to arrived I wish I took picture of the pizza but I was too drunk and low battery because I use my gps. I enjoyed the music and the environment.

Amazing artisan pizza, great ambiance, and attentive staff. We started with the prosciutto bruschetta, instead of crostini they served this appetizer on thin pizza crust. I had my doubts but it worked. I also had the house drink, sangria verde, oh so tasty. Our group ordered Fruto di Mari and the Churrasco (steak) pizzas. I must tell you all ingredients are of high quality and these pizzas were excellently executed.

Delicious pizza, one of the best I've had! Bruschetta Prosciutto is a must try appetizer. They had two for one appetizers during weekday lunch hour which was a nice surprise. We had half gaucho and half tutti supremo pizza. The gaucho was my favorite of the two. We were too stuffed to try dessert.

"Old faithful" as I like to call it because it is one of the very few places in Ponce that is open every day of the week and until very late on Fri and Sat. I've been coming back to this place for the past couple of years mostly due to its design and ambience. It is usually one of the restaurants (in Ponce) that is full of people on average which usually creates a lively, moderately loud environment (if that's what you're into). On weekends they also have live music which is great. Food wise is pretty good, but not outstanding. The drinks are just OK (their house green sangria is very sweet and not very very good; although that is subject to taste and opinion) and the appetizers are not very impressive. The pizza does help even everything out though... the "Gaucho" is my favorite which was steak as a topping and most people really like the Pionona which is one of their house specials which has sweet plaintains as one of its toppings.

We were ready to leave bracing for the mad dash to our car to beat the rain when it seemed out of nowhere one of the most interesting looking Shop caught out eye it was a breath of fresh air and a chance outing that was a pleasant surprise. Campioni Pizza can count on a visit next time I'm in the area.

Cool and refreshing place in a city of redundant options. Bar area is cool with a good variety of beers as well. Patio area is nice as well. Offers pizza for the pizza person who doesnt want to sit on couch and wait for Domino's...:) Oh yea, theres live music some nights also.

My sister invited me here while on vacation, beautiful building, once you walk in it is more like a "tasca". Tables are a little too close to each other for my taste, but it is part of the experience, really cool music, service was great, and the food.....super delicious!!! we had an appetizer with flank steak and roasted veggies, really yummi. Then we ordered the pizza, really good pizza! The green sangria was really good :-) Parking might be challenging, but other than that, I recommend it.

Very Nice place. Good layout and a friendly staff. Personally I was disappointed in the pizza. Great Reviews....but I'm not sure what pizza they were eating. It's a thin crust Brick oven Pizza. It should be crispy. Mine was chewy. The sauce wasn't great and either was the cheese. Maybe the other items are better. For a good Pizza look else where....

I haven't had pizza this good in a long time! The service was wonderful, and their espresso was fantastic! We will be coming back!

Your spouse to be in a Italian bistro/ wood oven pizza place. Food good not grate Pizza is a B+ . What's holding it back from better is the lack of attentiveness by the waiters to much chiming at the far end of the bar witch is very good server's

The food is really good but you have to keep in mind that portions are not big and the prices are really high. The place is no friendly for people with wheelchairs, difficulty to walk because in order to enter, has stairs and the place yo sit is high. Overall food is good.

Order a margarita pizza $18 no problem . Add one topping $5!!!! To make it worst they are very stingy with the topping . Use to be better

We had two apps the meatballs and chorizo in wine sauce both were great. Followed up with the international pizza. Only complaint was the steak on the pizza was very chewy. Definitely will visit here again soon.

This place was spectacular. Went on our last night in Ponce, the place was very busy and full but they sat us right away and right in front of the window looking into the kitchen. We got to watch them cook in the wood oven and toss pizza dough. My boys were enthralled. I was thrilled to see high chairs designed for the high top table we were sitting at. We ordered the bruschetta after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. Kids had cheese and pepperoni, we got the Bianca.

What a fun restaurant! After spending a day walking around we were starving. We originally planned to eat at La Parilla 50 but it seems that that place is never open so we decided to stop here. It was only a few minutes wait. The restaurant itself is a cozy and charming setup. It's located right off of the town center. We ordered the prosciutto bruschetta and Espanola pizza. Both were delicious. The pizza was thin crust with Puerto Rican chorizo and goat cheese. The service was friendly and fast. Would definitely go here again.

We're military stationed here for two years so we've traveled to many places and have eaten at many restaurants. That being said I can honestly say this was one of the best pizza joints I've been to. The staff was super friendly and had someone on staff who spoke English to help us out with the menu. We had the smoked salmon pita appetizer then the chicken Gorgonzola pizza followed by the chocolate brownie and pistachio cake for dessert. Kids ate everything including the salmon appetizer. We've unfortunately had some bad experiences with restaurants in ponce, it made me not want to eat out anymore so this was a pleasant surprise! Eat here!

The worst!! Avoid at all cost!! Pricey, bitchy attitude.. and the lack manners.. I could have gone to Pizza Hut and had a better time!!

Omg this pizza is amazing! We had the Gorgonzola pizza and it was wonderful! Service is great as are the prices! If you are craving great brick oven pizza, this is the place to go!
