Campland on the Bay is a wonderful camp 🏕 by the beach ⛱️. Outstanding location. We had a great time enjoying the sand, pool, jacuzzi, and all the fun activities available at a walking distance on site. We loved all the amenities such as restaurant/bar, drinks 🍸, fireworks 🎆 , and beautiful views during our morning and evening walks. This camp has a basketball court 🏀, skateboarding 🛹 area, children's activities/games, volleyball on the beach, and more. The children safely rode their bikes. Respectful and family oriented campers. We met a nice family parked by us and became friends. We shared meals together, played cards, shared family stories, and had great laughs by the fire pit. This is a perfect camp to enjoy with friends and family. The bathrooms and showers are kept clean. The showers have a door for privacy with a bench inside with enough room to put your items away from the wet floor. We look forward to camping here again. Thank you 😊

Disappointed by the Experience – Not What We Expected We were really looking forward to our camping trip and spending quality time with friends and family, but unfortunately, our experience didn’t go as hoped. The campsites were extremely cramped with very little space between sites, which made it hard to settle in and enjoy the environment. Tables were dirty when we arrived, which was surprising for a location that seems to have regular use. What really changed the tone of our trip, though, was how we were treated by staff and rangers. On our very first night, while simply enjoying our time together like any group on vacation would, we were approached in a way that felt unnecessarily harsh. We weren’t being reckless or disrespectful—we were just laughing and connecting after arriving. Instead of a friendly conversation or reminder, we felt immediately judged and treated like we were doing something wrong. 2 trailers out of the 5 in our group were asked to leave the following morning. Some of our friends have been coming here for years and have always spoken highly of it, which makes it even more disheartening. We understand rules are important for everyone’s safety and comfort, but the way they’re enforced matters. A little kindness and clear communication go a long way—especially when welcoming guests who are just arriving and excited to enjoy nature. Sadly, this experience left a sour taste, and we’ll not be returning.

Went to visit my vacationing family members. During the weekend it's crazy and loud, but fun. Campsites are equipped with fire a fire ring, a picnic bench big enough for 8 people, and an electricity outlet. They had enough room to put up 3 tents and had a parking spot. We took my dog to the small, but beautiful dog park area. We also walked to the field to watch the kid's have some fun kicking the soccer ball. Fireworks from Sea World happen every night in the summer, so it gives you something to enjoy right before it's time to turn in. They also have ping pong tournaments, and a water balloon toss to add to the fun. I recommend taking your family to Campland by the Bay for a nice relaxing time.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, remote escape- this isn’t it. But if you’re up for a high-energy, family-friendly experience that feels like summer camp for all ages, Campland on the Bay delivers in full. There’s no shortage of things to do: from the beach to the on-site cantina, game room, market, and tons of scheduled activities for kids and adults alike. It’s essentially a small, bustling city of campers. People zip around on golf carts, e-bikes, scooters, and bikes, so if you’re staying along one of the main roads, expect a steady stream of people passing by your site from sunup to sundown. Yes, there are a lot of teenagers roaming around, but contrary to some reviews, we didn’t have any issues. They were just doing what teens do, hanging out and having fun. Noise was minimal overall, unless you’re parked right by the main marketplace area, which stays loud and active during the day. At night, things quieted down nicely and stayed that way until around 9 a.m. The community here is a real mix. You’ll see everything from $250,000 rigs to tents, side by side, with people from all walks of life just enjoying themselves. That’s part of the charm. Facilities were solid: bathrooms were cleaned multiple times a day, trash was handled well (no stink!), and staff and security were consistently friendly and visible. If you’re looking for a little more peace and privacy while still enjoying the “summer camp” energy, book a site along the bayfront. Those spots are quieter, more scenic, and have fewer people passing by and worth the extra money if you want the vibe without being right in the middle of the action. Also, paying extra to guarantee a specific site is a smart move if you’re picky about location. Bottom line: we had a great time and would absolutely go back. But know what you’re signing up for. If you don’t enjoy being in close quarters with a lot of people, activity, and movement, this might not be your ideal spot. But if you want a vibrant, social, kid-friendly campground with tons to do and a laid-back vibe, this one’s a win.

We had an absolute blast at Campland by the Bay! The kids were entertained from morning till night with tons of activities – it felt like a summer camp with everything from planned games to the playground and skate park. We were so lucky to have incredible weather, which really made our time on the bay even more enjoyable. Beyond the fantastic activities and perfect weather, the facilities were great. We appreciated the clean restrooms and showers, and having a market and restaurant right on-site was super convenient. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful, making for a truly welcoming atmosphere. We can't wait to come back!

Google
After reading reviews, both positive and negative, decided to book 3 nights, being the first to Campland, we wanted to experienced it. This place is to party and with no privacy on any of the sites regardless of the nightly rate. Chaos everywhere you go, golf carts, electric scooters, motorized bikes. Sites being so close to each other, is impossible to have a conversation without feeling, other people are listening into it. This should be strictly for RVs not tent camping. Place is maintained well. We are not returning.

Google
10 stars! What a relaxing place. We will definitely come back here to stay. Anytime we bring the Airstream our dog comes. They have the cutest dog area that our girl loved! We were there 2 nights(short trip) and walked the beach near the bay and took our pup to dog beach!! Only encountered 3 workers and the lady in the store was super nice!!

Kimber421

Google
The bad reviews are all correct. There are no rules enforced. The sights are very small. Just a free for all in regards to noise and partying. Kids are not supervised and speed thru the campground on scooters and electric bikes. They have no regard for anyone walking. There are so many visitors at camp sights that are not paying to stay there. We felt very uncomfortable and very unsafe. Noise goes on all night. People just throw garbage around. Our dogs almost got hold of chicken bones laying on the path.

Yelp
I'm not sure how to rate this as of yet but I can only update my experience as time goes on. I love the scenery, wild life, beach, etc. ..this is reason for the three stars. However, the extended stayers are quite interesting, and not in a good way. Update: September 20, 2024 approximately 3:00pm during one of their loua events, two elder women approached the front of my trailer, the driver says to the passenger "this is where the Squatters and prostitute lives". And was just staring at me like I was an animal in a zoo exhibit. I don't want to make this about race which I am a Filipino American, but some of the frequent extended stayers can be quite judgemental possibly racist. I feel during the orientation, discrimination using assumptions should have been mentioned and continue with a ban if such occurs. A person is to be judged by their character, not by their skin color, financial status, or religion. I will leave an update. I had lowered the rate from three stars to two stars. UPDATE: I thank you and appreciate how quickly my review and emails was responded to by Business Management. I also appreciate the professionalism and agreeing to speak with the Ranger team to elaborate more on Conduct and Respectfulness within Campland in the orientation. Thanks again.

Yelp
Loved this new experience of checking a campground for a Bay Area friend who is into the van and camping lifestyle. First time there and it was a big surprise to see Campland is like a city by the bay. So spacious and with multiple amenities (cantina, skate park, music stage, etc). Very packed, so I guess it is a pretty popular camp. All o saw was happy families, kids running around in their bicycles or playing in the water. One great thing to point out is that the beach and some aquatic activities are open to the public. So you can grab your beach gear and enjoy a day or some hours at the clean Beacb and also you can go to the cantina and gift shop too. If is like being on vacation if you are local.

Yelp
This place should be called Campland on the Dirt, and not Campland on the Bay. The staff is nice, but my only complain here is: 1) camp sites are very dusty 2) faucets located were not thought well thought through, as there is no drainage for water to go to for those with tents. 3) the camp rangers are cool, but some decisions they made during the Campland event I just say was wrong. Some of them were letting under age kids driving golf carts which was just wrong and dangerous. 4) lastly the camp streets needs more light streets need more lighting. It's so darn darn, you don't know who is going to pop out of those bushes to scare you. I definitely wouldn't recommend tent camping here, I'd suggest getting a trailer or RV. As for the Campland event, it was rocking awesome. The Campland coordinator needs to plan this better, as there wasn't or barely enough parking for people coming in.
google avatar

Brad R.

Yelp
Very amenity rich and lots of activities always going on at this campground. A little tricky to get to due to narrow streets and a bunch of RV's parked on the side streets on your way from the freeway. Nice beach and grass areas. Bike paths all over and connects to another campground next door which has paths. We rode from the campground all the way around the bay almost to SeaWorld. Bathrooms were very clean. The market has just about everything you'll need even an espresso coffee shop. Good coffee too.

Yelp
We were with friends on their boat heading to the free "Campland Rocks" concerts Campland hosts on Friday and Saturday evenings during the summer. We motored up to the dock at Campland and tied up. The young guy who was manning the dock that night was super cool. The outdoor concert venue was just a short walk from the dock. The venue is a large grassy area with a sizeable stage at one end. It is a bring your own chair and/or blanket to sit as you enjoy the show. We brought a boat-friendly collapsible wagon and camping chairs. Along with some pizzas from Plaza Del Sol that we picked up on the way and of course a stocked cooler. Prepare yourself. It is a Family friendly venue. Kids are welcome and they are aplenty. Our friends attend regularly as they live on a boat not too far away. For Becky and I it was our first time. We really enjoyed the venue. The band was very entertaining. It was a really good time.

Yelp
Amazing spot for beautiful memories! This Rv resort is top notch when it comes to priceless views. We stayed Sunday-Wednesday at a beach front spot and it was perfect! Don't be cheap get the beach front views the other spots are crowded. The ice cream was yummy and the arcade looked like fun sadly the lack of staff and card machine didn't let us play in the arcade but it's ok. They gave a cantina bar area and a lot Of spots to check out. It's huge !

Yelp
Very large camping spot in San Diego. We booked two spots across from each other F6 F7. These are not ocean front but decent spots. There are multiple dog parks here. They have a pool n jacuzzi. Skatepark, basketball courts, market, bar and cantina, arcade. So many amenities. They also do concerts in the park on Fridays and Saturdays. We went on Friday Band Hair Force played 80s covers it was pretty cool. Bloody Mary was yummy from the bar. The food at cantina was ok. You can also rent jet skis, golf carts, kayaks etc here. Quiet time is after 11pm. Had a good time.

Yelp
We did have fun staying here but a lot of Ricky Bobby moments other than that we did enjoy our time there enjoying the fire place. It is just across from SeaWorld so it you are driving no more than 15. Minutes and if taking a Lyft not more than $20 one way . If you're taking a Lyft to the Zoo approximately $40 one way You are very central to approximately Downtown and old SD

Yelp
Just an old, dated, dirty campground Check-in was good. switched assigned site do to dirt and unlevel pad. new sites picnic table was dusty and fire ring was full of ash but level. site power pedestal did not have a 110 outlet. Bathrooms were clean but shower water pressure was low and water temp at best medium. Inside the Market store appearance was trashy and prices high. the Cantina was ok but prices high. pool and jacuzzi were good but another guest had load music playing from there device. price for stay was high for what you get. Overall this place needs to close for a modern refurbishment.

Yelp
Amazing! Relaxing place with courteous staff and friendly service. Beach is smooth, place is clean, activities are cool, ambience is serene and the price is fair. Whether you have a class A or a mini cooper with a tent, this is the place for you!

Yelp
This is my happy place.Such a great camping park. In beautiful San Diego. They have good spots. Some have sewage, water, and electric. Others have half hook ups, depending on how you'll be camping (RV, Tent, ect...) Great atmosphere, friendly environment. Great for family's. Amenities on the grounds include, Cantina & Restaurant, pools, arcade, showers and restrooms, laundry, skate park, basketball courts, horse shoe pits, gym, and a park for children to play. I absolutely LOVE Campland on the Bay. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here this past weekend for a few days. The park and beach was crowded and the smell of weed permeated the air. We stayed in one of the select spaces with our 38' motorcoach and toad. The space was pretty tight and the next space sewage connection was just a few feet outside our door. On our departure day we woke up to discover that both our e-bikes had been stolen. I drove around the park and recovered one that was parked in a space on the other side of the park. My wife reported the theft to security and was informed that they had recovered the other bike. So what could have been very costly was adverted with the recovery of both bikes. Looking into future visits to the San Diego area will most likely result in us staying elsewhere.

Yelp
My kids love Campland and now one of my boys is 18 and still wants to come. Adult fun and kid fun and teenage fun. So many activities and live bands every night for Fourth of July.

Yelp
My husband & I just spent 7 nights in our little Lance camper at this awesome campground. What a fun beautiful place to be. All of the facilities are well kept. The pools & hot tubs were perfect! The Cantina had some great fish tacos, did that 3 times! Beautiful sunsets every night. Can't wait until next time.

Yelp
At camp land with family. Enjoyed what it had to offer. Very clean and organized. Good signage. Good rules to bide by. Nice atmosphere. Everyone is nice.

Kaitlyn T.

Yelp
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Keep in mind, even though there are "quiet hours", these hours are not enforced and you can still scream and talk as loud as you please. They state that they have 24/7 security, but it actually means that the security just drives around minding their own business while those can be extremely loud throughout the night until the AM. Don't bother calling the security or even talking with those who work here. They say they'll take care of the loud disturbances, however, not once did I see them actually do so. If you're looking for a place to take your kids, this is NOT the place to go. Mindless security, overpriced food and the smell of weed throughout the sites. Try one of the state beach campsites instead- a much safer and relaxing stay. If you want to hear unattended drunk minors scream at the top of their lungs then this is the place to go to. I have been coming here throughout my entire childhood hoping to one day bring my kids. Now once I do have kids, they will never camp here. Not worth your money or safety.

Brittany D.

Yelp
Sad but our family will no longer be staying at campland for our annual Labor Day trips. - the noise compliance is non existent, can't even play your own music because another camp is blasting there's. -young kids driving golf carts and e bikes unattended. -smells like weed 24/7 - the dog park is just a gathering area for teenagers with no security to monitor. Just a suggestion maybe hire more security to enforce the rules on major holiday weekend and maybe our family would come back. Until then it was fun well it lasted.

Katie C.

Yelp
Unsafe due to no rules, lack of security, drunkenness, unsupervised children after dark and electric vehicles driven far too fast. Sad we have been coming here for 40 years, done now.
google avatar

H. A.

Yelp
If your idea of camping is nice-hotel-priced spots amongst a few hundred close neighbors, half of them in you book-we tow rental rvs (translation: no campground etiquette, five cars to a trailer, lots of booze and music), unsupervised kids on e-bikes with no lights or helmets all over the place, and all that in the atmosphere of a nearby forest fire thanks to everyone burning crappy wood, this is the place for you. There are some nice spots overlooking the bay, too.

Christel G.

Yelp
The process from booking our stay, to checking in with 4 sites, and late check out early checkin was a breeze. The staff was off the charts and the grass area and pools were epic not mention the daily activities

Yelp
Probably the most detailed review you will get and the most insightful. Let's start with our background. We are RV campers. We have traveled all over the U.S. and live in San Diego. This is not the first visit we have had to Campland but certainly the last. Reservations: We made reservations for our spot a last Labor Day weekend for this year. We picked our spot mainly because of availability. We ended up in one of the worst/best spots available depending on how you look at it. The best because we got great neighbors. The worst because there is literally no space and we happened to be right on the main entrance driveway so we had like a million people passing all day. That usually wouldn't be a problem since we like to people watch but the problem was exactly the type of people this camp pulls in now. Trashy to say the least. A few years ago it was a very family friendly place with plenty of kids activities. Now it caters to drunks, pot smokers, underage drinking and driving and seriously bottom of the barrel crowd. Rentals: This place offers RV rentals. You know the kind that set up everything for you and you go spend a weekend and then leave. That attracts people who regularly could not afford to be campers, unfortunately a lot of those people are rude, disrespectful, binge drinkers who think it's cool to let their kids ride all day on their bikes without helmets and with no regard to cars, property or even people crossing the street. We almost ran over 3 kids on our first day. We were sober and going way slower than the speed limit. Underage drinking and driving: This is something you will read a lot about on here. I think it is a real security concern but I saw plenty of 14-15 year olds drunk to the point of vomiting and driving rental golf carts while blasting music full of profanity. I don't scare easily but I am being detailed so you get the full picture of our stay. The camp sites: 1 word - horrible! Besides the fact that Campland has the beautiful views of San Diego Mission Bay that is the only thing they have going! They allow multiple vehicles to be parked at each campsite. If you walked around, Campland looks like a junkyard. More cars than anything else. No room for much on our site, that's for sure. We did notice some sites had a little more room but still not worth the hassle. Security: definitely worthless. We had security escort us to find a parking spot for our guest parking which was just my other vehicle. The following day we passed by to see it being hit by another car that had shimmied in between my car and another car. They decided just to leave it parked that way. When we called security, they said they went to the persons campsite and that they said that the car belonged to no one from that site, even though every vehicle that goes into Campland has to be checked in. They just chose to do nothing about it. We had to call the SDPD to come write a report for us. Afterwards, the security was told by SDPD to give us a parking spot on an empty site because of the hassle, the security refused. Thankfully the SDPD pressured them to give us a parking spot. The following night our RV window was broken by teens lighting of fireworks next to our campsite, we didn't even bother to report it as by the way they handled the parking situation, nothing was going to be done. Quiet Hours: It's a joke. No one respects quiet hours. No courtesy to others. Chaos is the correct word. I am usually all for longer hours on the weekends. I was happy to see 11pm was quiet time however when at 2am you are hearing teens driving around drunk, blasting music, and zipping by the campsites super fast, it gets annoying fast. Public Intoxication: Trashy people left and right. We had to report a man passed out in the bushes that some teens were recording and were asking if he was alive. He had to be picked up off the bushes by a few security guards. Dog Poop: We have two dogs that stayed with us. We love dogs. We hate people who leave their dog poop all over the place. We actually called someone out on it and they just kept walking. 0 stars if your a real camper. Complete $hit show!

Yelp
It's fun in the Sun for all ages. Being right on Mission Bay w miles of running/bike paths. The cantina is always fun and the food is great. The ice cream parlor is perfect for the kids and big kids. Plenty of playgrounds and dog yards. The stage for bands is always great to dance under the stars while the kids run around. There's a. Boat launch, you can rent jet skis, pontoon boats and golf carts. We go every year at the same time and we have gotten to know some great people who also camp at the same time every year. Try it you'll love it!

Yelp
Even though it was a holiday weekend we felt safe and well taken care of. Shout out to Kendra and Jay for always being so helpful. Our group of adults and kids had so much fun and always do have fun for our staycations when we arrive at campland at the bay!

Yelp
Best place for families for vacation or reunions. We get together every year at least 7 nights I love my tent and air mattress. Many activities for kids to do . Basketball courts for kids and adults . Horse shoe tournament. Swimming Pools and be able to walk to beach. We have golf carts to drive around and go To store and laundry mat. Ice cream is the best the food at the bar is really good. We have been going there for more than 20 yrs. Blessed I been having my same spot for 15 yrs guaranteed pay a small fee

Eddie R.

Yelp
This weekend trip was everything we could ask for from checking in to checking out we were treated with courtesy and respect from all staff. Rangers. janitors. site clean up. office staff etc. We listened to bands, played bingo with the kids. enjoyed the park and the beach. 39 years my family and friends have been coming. My sites(44) are rebooked for the next year before we even go this year. It is a great environment to have a family get together as there is truly something for everyone. My kids are Campland raised and so are my Grandkids. They talk about Campland all year long. My husband and I come back in Oct to celebrate out anniversary almost every year as well. You have given us many years of beautiful memories and family time

Raymond L.

Yelp
Campland on the bay San Diego mission bay is and has been a destination of ours for 16 -17 years now. Our two sons have grown up there. We Love going there because Campland makes it a fun destination for the Family. I highly recommend it

Alejandra C.

Yelp
Not safe! I really wanted to love this place. The raving reviews and location are very enticing. We were so excited to spend our Labor Day weekend there. However, it was not what we expected. The campsites are small and not very clean. We had to clean the table when we got there as it was covered in bird droppings and left over food. The noise is constant. People blasting their music from outdoor speakers early in the morning to way past quiet hours. Someone even decided to have fireworks at 1 am. Oh, and I almost forgot there were large rats in the bushes by the pool. But what really bothered us was safety. Kids are allowed to drive golf carts all around the park. Again late in the evening and past quiet hours. Drunk and belligerent people are everywhere. We decided to cut our trip short after coming back from the beach and seeing multiple cop cars and an ambulance near our campsite. Apparently there was an altercation between two adults and one pulled out a gun. Needless to say we will not be coming back.

Yelp
There is some good things about this park, but the cons out way the positive. My biggest complaint about this place is the price. I paid 260 a night for a Bayview and it's an obstructed view of the bay. You have a large fence between your campsite and mission bay. Considering the price you're really packed in like sardines here as well. I stayed on the "nice" side of the park and it was still extremely tight and you had your neighbors right on top of you. I went to the other side of the park and it was way worse as people were stacked on top of each other. About a third of the park is long-term campers, with several spots having freezers and fridges plug in outside their RV's. Also there were several spaces that were full of tent campers with 5-6 groups of people in one space. Because of this, there was a little to no parking, and although they claimed to only allow two cars per spot, several of the spots had 4 to 5 cars parked out into the roadway. Because of all the cars parked in the roadway, it makes it hard to drive an RV in there. There's obviously little to no enforcement of the rules at the park. I was there Saturday to Thursday and I will tell you the weekend is one giant and loud party. Mid week was much better. And the other problem is if you don't secure a spot on the beach by 7 AM you won't get one. It gets extremely crowded and that includes the pool, which there is only, two pools for the entire park. The positive is the park is extremely clean and there is a lot to do with an arcade, Cantina, and live music on the weekend. But this is definitely not camping. I describe it more as a seven day a week tailgate party. If you have a large group and plan on taking over several spots, this might be the place for you. If you want to go camping, I would suggest Sun outdoors or San Diego KOA. Those campsites cater more to the camping crowd and not so much the weekend warriors. This is definitely not a place to come to relax.
google avatar

Erik H.

Yelp
We had a great time staying here. We've got a 31' travel trailer with slides on both sides and getting into the spot was a little tight, but I guess that's to be expected with a rig of that length. The location itself was very clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and they even have a fun search game for the kids at the front desk. If we decide to visit Marina again, we'll be repeat customers here.

Staycation and fun family time. Staff is great and love how security is always around. Loved the pool and jacuzzi with a great Cantina restaurant and music.

Yelp
Ice cream server Gianna was pretty rude. Asked her how much Ice cream was then was charged a different amount. Then talked to her employee about us. I asked a simple question. Then charged more. The bar staff was very nice

Yelp
We stayed at Campland 04/16 - 04/23 in space M33 in our 28' TT. Space M33 is a FHU site which is all asphalt with a fire pit and picnic table to the rear. Site M33 is near the beach, which was very nice. We watched the Sea World fireworks show from the beach every night from the Campland beach. The sites are very close together, but have a small fence separating them. Fire rings and picnic tables are to the rear of each site. One full time resident that I met at the on-site dog park referred to my section as "The Concrete Jungle". I would agree. However, my 30 foot walk to the beach made my kids' day. The WiFi sucks. It's slow and was constantly bumping our devices off the system. It was quicker to just use our cell service. There are 2 full size pools and 3 jacuzzis in Campland. There is also a huge children's play park within Campland. The showers and bathrooms were always clean. We tried out the Cantina Bar & Grill. The food and cocktails were good, convenient and reasonably priced. Mark, the bartender, was always friendly and great to talk with. There was an ice cream parlor on-site that makes some good milkshakes and gives huge scoops! The arcade looked fun. The on-site store has all the Campland swag and most basic food items that you may need. There is also a coffee shop window at the store for any lattes, cappuccinos, etc. Propane is sold on site. The Campland marina rents pontoons, ski boats, wave runners, paddle boats, SUP's, Golf Carts and bikes. We rented a wave runner on two different days and had a blast. We also visited LEGOland, SD Zoo, Sea World and SD Zoo Safari, due to Campland's centralized location. Campland is definitely NOT camping, in the traditional sense. It's a place that some people go to be seen, party like college kids, show off their golf carts and others just go because their kids love it. It's a good time, just know that on a Friday & Saturday night, it's a party atmosphere with a lot of kids running around and riding bikes. Quiet time isn't until 11pm. We would return to Campland again, if we had another week of activities in the San Diego area. Our kids loved it and we loved that everything was on-site.

Yelp
Best FAMILY camping vacation spot! Beach, 2pools, playground, lighted b-ball, skateboard and horseshoe areas. They have a cafe, a bar, game room, laundry and planned activities throughout the whole day and into the night. What more could you ask for?

Yelp
This park is only better than staying in the backyard of somewhere in east LA. It does have 50amp service & sewer along with good drinks and service at the cantina is really the only thing I can say good about the place. Small sites, kids running everywhere, long term residents that make their sites look like the projects. I could go on but why nothing will change under the current management.

Yelp
This review is solely based on the conversation with the receptionist Bryan, he was so helpful and informative. Gave us great tips as well. I'm so excited to go to camp this week!

Yelp
Nice park plenty of things to do, parking an issue many large rigs that take up their whole space so then they pull their other vehicles out front into the street making it almost impossible to get by. All the kids on bikes do not look and will pull out in front of you,, and allowing kids driving golf cars with music blasting , not good

Yelp
What an amazing campground to visit! Staff is friendly and helpful, bathrooms are clean and stocked, grounds are always clean and well maintained! They have a well stocked on site bar/cantina that offers a wide selection of scrumptious food choices and next door is an ice cream bar. Here you have a choice to participate in the many activities or just chill....your choice! Thankyou Campland on the Bay!

Yelp
Been a great bike ride destination for lunch for years now all of a sudden they want to charge you full price $3.50 for a soda refill while eating lunch unfair but as with other places that want to start ridiculous practices my bike ride to campland for lunch will be less frequent your loss

Yelp
Such a great family place! Wonderful staff, clean, FUN, safe, gorgeous bay, lots to do or just relax--love this place! I hope it stays around for years to come--it would be a misfortune for families to not have Campland On the Bay.

Yelp
This was our first time at Campland on the Bay. Over and over I heard people highly recommend Campland so I thought, perhaps it's time to give it a try. We booked Friday to Sunday. Two nights, we would've done a longer trip but found this campground to be more on the expensive side. (We paid over $500 for our two night stay, plus the extra charge to pick our site). Upon arriving, check in was confusing, we lined up in the row of cars and waited in our vehicle. It was our first time and we assumed we had to wait our turn and check in at the gate, like every other campsite we've ever been to. Little did we know we were suppose to go to the check in office. Afterwards I reread the check in process on their website, nowhere does it state to go to the office. On our way to our site, we found the views to be beautiful. We had site Q03, overlooking the creek and bay. Unfortunately, our site did have a large amount of trash leftover from the previous campers. A pack of cigarettes, an old shirt used as a rag, miscellaneous trash and even a whole sleeping bag! We were determined to make the best of our stay and continued to set up our site. Later that afternoon we decided to go for a family bike ride. One thing I was not prepared for was the amount of complete chaos the roads were! There were irresponsible kids on golf carts driving at full speed with no concern regarding the rules of the road. Electric bikes driven by toddlers (no joke!) Teenagers cutting through my daughter and I, forcing me to brake hard. I feared for my life or my kids life at least 5 times. We finally had enough and decided it would be safer to go back to our site. As far as the activities, we were excited for an abundance of activities for the kids, unfortunately there wasn't much offered for my 10y & 6y. Bingo, and dodgeball, they did offer tye dye and water slide (8y+) but for a fee. We ended up renting Kayaks on our second day and spent the day on the water at an affordable price of $40 ($10/per additional hour) and left the campground and rode our bikes on the boardwalk nearby- where I didn't fear for my life! :) My last and final complaint (I promise! Because I don't want to bore you with the drunk adults and lost dogs roaming through our campsite) Our neighbors decided that between midnight- 1am would be an excellent time to come in and set up camp. They were yelling to guide the driver, shining their flashlights on our window, and waking up my entire family. I was going to call the front office/hospitality hosts but they were with them helping them set up! Then at 6am they decided it would be a good idea to pack it all back up and switch spots, waking us up all over again. Note: quiet hours are from 11pm- 8am. All in all, this was a great experience and we now know exactly what we don't want in a campsite. I left disappointed in the amount of money we spent for what we got. I was looking forward to making memories here, year after year. I should've listened to the review that read: " if a sh*t show is your type of thing, this is the place for you." Even the tow truck driver that was dropping off rental rvs said he calls this place, "Crapland".
