Quiet and beautiful, Jardines del Campo del Moro feels like a hidden gem. Great views of the Royal Palace and plenty of space to relax in nature

Perfect location to alleviate the Madrid heat. Lots of tree canopies provide as much shade as you’re going to get in the middle of Madrid. Some hidden curiosities along the perimeter trails…

We went to the cafe here! It was perfect! We waited about 5 minutes before being seated on a weekend! It wasn’t too loud, the wine was a bit expensive for the area but the atmosphere made up for it. The service was also a bit slow but it made sense for the large amount of people there. I recommend

Love this park. If you’re looking for a little escape from the heat, this place is perfect.

We saw a peacock expanding its feathers and this is a common thing for them and a reaction when they feels threatened or trying to mate during the season. Plenty of walking paths and feeling of being surrounded and submerged into the nature. Also there is a restaurant at the entrance via paseo de la Virgen del Puerto

A great respite from the hustle and bustle of Madrid’s city life. Very quiet and tranquil spot. There are a variety of different paths leading to beautiful gardens and small frog ponds. There is also an abundance of wildlife including birds, butterflies, and a peacock with a huge colorful plume. I didn’t take a photo so not to stress her out. Most importantly there is only one entrance to the garden, located on the far side, down the hill near the tall. Arch.

Where else can you bask in a Royal Garden, and listen to the caws of peacocks and watch the ducks and swans eat bread while they sail upon a quiet pond? A lake of quiet in a busy city. Now, if they could open the gate closer to the palace… it would be perfect…

Yelp
Beautiful park with the view of Royal palace. Conveniently located by bus stop for multiple bus lines. When I visited in May it closed at 8.

Yelp
Lovely palace gardens .... if it's a nice day- it is worth it to take a walk around to the only entrance on Paseo de la virgin del puerto - closer to the Pio principal train station . It's downhill from the palace . So if you plan to see the palace then remember after the gardens - it's a walk uphill . This place is free and so beautiful and quiet . Two peacocks walking around not very afraid of people near them . I saw horse and carriage with guards constantly circling around the top and the bottom of the palace.

Yelp
Beautiful Gardens If you are visiting Palacio Real, take a little time to visit the adjoining gardens. There is a lot to enjoy, and it is kept in immaculate condition.

Yelp
Designed in the 19th century under the rule of Queen Maria Cristina, Campo del Moro is an enormous green space abutting the Royal Palace. Open at 10am on weekdays and noon on weekends with free entry plan approximately 60 minutes to walk the loop around perfectly manicured grass, trees and flowers.

Yelp
this park was named after a muslim leader who camped here in the 12th century while attempting to re-conquer madrid. having toured several cities in spain prior to arriving in madrid, i could see that many famous landmarks have a strong muslim influence. located to the west of madrid's city centre, near the palacio real and jardines de sabatini, this park is lovely and i only wish i had more time to explore the gardens and study the trees and flowers here. there are several fountains and small ponds inside and it is a great place to stroll, walk, and jog...or just sit and admire the nature in front of your eyes. the park does close at dusk though (unlike other parks in madrid that close later) so be sure to depart before the gates are locked up for the evening.

Yelp
Beautiful park beside the Royal Palace! Just beside the Royal Palace, one should walk through it to take a resert, while be in the middle of Madrid. You can't avoid to take a photo of the Royal Palace from the park!
