I lived here when I was an exchange student at La Catho 1983-84 (room 119), and I *loved* it! It appears there have been numerous updates on the building, and it was so convenient to the university, to downtown, and to Angers-St. Laud train station. The communal kitchen was the site of many convivial meals with others living here; we'd all bring what we had and concoct something a little more interesting together than what it would have been separately. You'd be surprised what you can cook on a plaque électrique, and since we were from a variety of countries, we discovered new flavors as we sat around the common dining table. I have such happy memories of living here - I'd tried staying with a family but Pavot offered a bit more flexibility as far as coming and going. (I sowed some serious wild oats...) So, yeah, it's been 40+ years since I was a resident, but it was lovely and I hope to visit again someday soon.
