Campus Hotel Hertenstein

The moment we arrived the views took our breath away. We got in and got our rooms quickly the rooms were good and the food was my absolute favourite! At evening the foods are so delicious! There is also a boat that comes every few hours I think and you can get picked up on the dock I’m not sure how to pay for the tickets and it brings you straight to the beautiful city of Lucerne. 8/10 one of my most favourite hotels I’ve been to!

Wha a beautiful hotel with outstanding service. The restaurant looks absolutely stunning. We were not even staying here. We were waiting for our ferry back to Lucerne and decided to check with the hotel reception if we were at the right pier. We were allowed to use the rest room and wait in the lobby as the next ferry is more than half an hour away. We were even served water and given WiFi password! Make sure you stay here when you visit.

We had an amazing stay at Campus Hotel Hertenstein! The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our time here was perfect. We felt so well taken care of from start to finish. The location is fantastic — the hotel is right in front of both the boat and bus stops, making it super convenient to get to Old Town Lucerne or explore other parts of Weggis. Just a heads-up that public transportation becomes limited later in the evening, but the hotel staff was more than willing to help arrange alternatives when needed. Beautiful setting, comfortable rooms, and outstanding service. We would absolutely love to come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lucerne!

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and absolutely loved every moment. The location was perfect, the vibes were amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, and the view from our room was truly marvelous — everything about our stay was just perfect. I actually stayed at this same hotel 11 years ago, and I’m so happy to say that the feeling has never changed. The view, the quietness, and the overall atmosphere are still just as wonderful as they were back then. It truly feels timeless. A very special thank-you to Wolfgang, who works at the restaurant. His exceptional attitude and the way he interacts with guests truly stand out. He makes you feel comfortable and ensures you have a wonderful time. Thank you, Wolfgang, for making our stay even more memorable!

HOTEL CLOSED 3RD TO 23RD FEBRUARY 2026!!|We were due to stay here 15th to 20th Feb but i found out purely by chance because i asked about the restaurant that the entire hotel is closed during the above dates! I booked it back in October and had no communication since to say there was any issue, there was no apology or accountability by the hotel, they hadnt told our travel agent or anyone that they are closed. We would have got there on 15th and been stranded with nowhere to stay with an 8 year old too! Theres nothing on their website to say its closed either so beware, ts awful and unbelievable that they havent told anyone, so im trying to warn people to check if you are due to stay here so you dont arrive to a closed hotel!

Amazing location!!! Private lake access, amazing rooms and beautiful scenery. The staff were unbelievably friendly, our boys had a blast. Wolfgang treated us great at breakfast time and also in the afternoons, our boys had a great time!!

I was visiting an event with my wife but to be honest it was really bad. the food buffet was not good and cold, the staff was rude and the furniture was broken and not in a good condition. the location would be amazing, the lake is gorgeous. maybe this is the reason why they think guests come anyway...

The hotel is amazing especially if you have a lake view from your room but I requested the iron service and despite the confirmation, I never got it and they still wanted me to pay for it which I didn’t of course but my pint is that I requested this service super early and never got it at the end which is very disappointing when you have an event to attend. My stay started very well and ended with this issue which will be something I remember more than the positive and that’s not what you want when staying in a hotel.
