4 train journeys in Asia with stunning views - SilverKris

"A privately run, air‑conditioned first‑class carriage option on the short mountain route from the capital to the hill city, offering reserved first‑class seats with Wi‑Fi, power sockets, complimentary breakfast (tea and coffee) and an observation car for taking in the passing scenery; it provides a more comfortable way to experience the 2.5‑hour climb from coastal lowlands into tea‑covered highlands." - Joyce Huang

We had an amazing experience at the Expo Rail Museum! The staff and volunteers are incredibly kind and welcoming, making our visit truly special. The highlight was riding on an old train — and also enjoying a little adventure on the small train. Both were such unique and fun experiences! We were lucky to meet a wonderful guide who shared so many fascinating historical facts about trains and Montreal. We honestly felt like VIP guests during our visit. A huge thank-you to all the volunteers and staff who make this museum such a warm and unforgettable place. Highly recommend this museum to anyone — whether you’re a train enthusiast or just looking for a great day out! 🚂✨

We had an amazing experience for my little train lover on Friday! For tickets for a family of 4 (2 adults/2 kids) there was a great deal of $37! On the website it will take you to a different site to purchase tickets. We stopped along our journey to the Granby zoo and it was a lovely little stop. It is a bit hidden from the parking lot but there was a gentleman at a tent after the bridge to help direct us to the right place. My son loved every minute of it. The only thing we were a bit put off by was the trolley schedule. It states to be at each location at a set time and it was either early or late each time and it was extremely hot to wait outside for the next train to come. The kids loved the mini train ride and the think the punched cards was a cute touch

An excellent museum and a fantastic experience overall! We’ll definitely be returning. It’s very kid-friendly, and the entire staff was kind and welcoming. A special thank you to the volunteer gentleman who took the time to share fascinating facts with us—he really added something special to our visit. There’s a designated area where you can have lunch (although the restaurant was closed when we went), and a lovely gift shop full of unique and interesting souvenirs. One of the highlights was the tram ride—it looks just like the ones that used to run in Montreal. You can ride it as many times as you like, which was a big hit with our kids. And the mini train? Absolutely amazing! Both children and adults loved it, especially the ride through tunnels and over bridges. You can go on it as often as you want, and our kids couldn’t get enough. We left with big smiles and great memories. Highly recommended!

Great experience. My first time to go there. Note to the museum: I wish advertise more the fact that the main entrance was changed…Everybody goes to the main parking with the locomotive exposed in the front, but the real entrance and the booth tickets are farther down the street…

Nice place to visit if you're with kids. But the price of an adult ticket is a bit expensive at $24.00 per person. $55.00 for a couple when you include the taxes. Considering that you likely won't spend more than 1.5 hours here, it's not a fairly priced museum. They really should only be charging $10 to $15 for this place. Also you can only climb aboard a select few rail cars...we would have liked to have been able to check out others, but most you can only look through a window to see the interior.

Great museum, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and overall fantastic experience. One of the best train museums you’ll find, incredible atmosphere. Only detraction was how difficult it is to access by public transit as a tourist. Worth the commute though

My first time going! Finding the new entrance was a little difficult. I def think the old entrance is a better decision. It was very enjoyable, loved the little play areas for kiddos & how well taken care of the actual museum is! - A lot of walking though, prepare yourself!

Such a fun outing! Highlight was the old time train around the park with a conductor stopping to give context at various stops. Visiting inside train carriages from every epoch. Really a hidden gem!
