CANAL CITY HAKATA

This is a major tourist attraction as well as shopping place in Fukuoka! It’s huge and great varieties of shopping stores are inside the building! It’s well known for the constant water fountain ⛲️ festivals! Frequent they have events with pretty nice water shows so get some info from info center and plan accordingly! There are also delicious food courts in the building so definitely take advantage of those things! We had a great window shopping and eating time here! Cheers 🥂

3 building of 5 levels combine into a shopping place. Although level 2 and level 3, are still under renovation. Lovely place to watch musical fountain ⛲️. Onitsuka Tiger just shifted new location with more choices to buy. Gundam merchandise can also be purchase here.

The prices here are more expensive than buying online, but that's a given considering it is a mall. The architecture is amazing though, and you can stare at the sliced dome for hours. They have a watershow every half hour, the ones at XX:30 have no sound but the ones at XX:00 have the speakers play epic music. It's really cool just to go and see the watershow.

We were lucky that we came here ~ so my kid did not miss this water festival! Every kid loves this water fest very much! Apart from this, this huge shopping mall has lots of restaurants and a wide variety of shops for kids, young people, and families.

Canal City Hakata is a large, modern shopping and entertainment complex in Fukuoka that's great for a few hours of browsing and dining. The open-air canal running through the center adds a unique touch, and there are frequent fountain shows that are fun to watch. While it’s more of a commercial space than a cultural attraction, it’s worth visiting if you’re nearby or looking to shop and relax indoors.

Have been coming here for many years. Still a great place to visit. Their water light show still going after so many years. Some great shops to visit.

Great place …this a a shopping and restaurant mega built around the old canal - it even has a Hyatt hotel Restaurants food outlets water playtime for kids and department store - one side of this area back into the red light district the other side is where the food hawkers are - they come out and set up around 5pm and you must line up to get a seat for dinner We found a better place than that for small eatery’s and that was under the Hyatt - it was extra good as it had air conditioning and lots of little food stalls It had a great range of food and a fabulous atmosphere- think it was my favourite place for dinner ! Up stairs there was a great tempura bar too where we had lunch - you bought your tickets and went in and sat on the bar where they served you - it was fresh and fab

Lots of shops and great staff. Impressive architecture for great photos. Unfortunately the light show was under maintenance when I went.
